Diamondsparkles I'm not home from work yet!! Almost there though, won't be long xx

CuppaSarah · 05/04/2015 18:38

The ic is long gone in the bin, I think ill use ics and if I miss a period use the Morrison's one.

Welcome indomnitable, please do live through us, more company means more bfps, even if they won't be around till.autumn!

diamondsparkles · 05/04/2015 17:49

I see indomitable- how frustrating - though I'm sure the time will pass quickly and you'll soon be ttc. Grin yes I reckon you should poas to join in the fun!!! It's very addictive!!
Come on avas - get the photo on - it's our first thread bfp!!

woundbobbin · 05/04/2015 17:45

Ps congratulations Avasmum fingers crossed for the rest of us

woundbobbin · 05/04/2015 17:44

Welcome indomitable I have also been waiting due to a new job it's very annoying isn't it!! I wanted to start trying in October last year but had to wait until this month!

Indomitable · 05/04/2015 16:53

I started a new job 8 months ago and need to leave it an 'appropriate' time.

I was adamant we weren't having #2 after DS turned out to be so high needs. But we all survived and he's mostly brilliant now! DH took longer to come around to the idea of another but now he's on board my ovaries are going nuts.

I've just rtft - congrats Ava! Fingers crossed for those testing over the next few days.

I've half a mind to wee on a severely out of date stick 2 days post period with coil still in place. You know, just to join in the fun!

diamondsparkles · 05/04/2015 16:14

Hi indomitable!
Nice to hear from you. I bet you can't wait to get started! Why are you waiting if you don't mind me asking?
Dh was always adamant we'd only have ds and it was completely out the blue when he said he wanted another - great to hear though as I thought I'd never persuade him!!

diamondsparkles · 05/04/2015 16:11

Sorry to hear about the bfn today cuppa but yes I bet you're just too early yet. Can you put up a pic of your bfp on the Internet cheapy? Don't worry too much - I don't think the Morrisons ones are sensitive. I would poas tomorrow if I were in your position Smile. This is my 10th cycle now and I don't think I'll ever see a line.
I'm already wondering when I can poas and I'm only 1dpo!!

mrsmugoo · 05/04/2015 16:02

Congratulations Avasmum!!

Indomitable · 05/04/2015 15:05

Hi, do you mind if I lurk around here?

We're not TTC#2 yet but the decision to actually have a second has been made and my ovaries are going nuts!

I need to put off TTC till September or something really.

Can I lurk? Can I live vicariously through you all?

For info, DS is 4 and I've still got a coil! Hmm

CuppaSarah · 05/04/2015 12:34

Oh also patty, some interesting stats on testing early from fertility friend. They took the stats from all their charts so its pretty reliable. But the most common date for false negatives is 10dpo, then the most common day to get a positive is 14dpo. The average luteal phase length is 14dpo, so in reality, most pregnancy tests offering early results are actually not at all as affective as they claim.

So while there are plenty of lucky people like our lovely ava who get a lovely early bfp, the majority of people won't get that second line till they're due AF. Which is why you are never out till AF pops round for a visit. Until AF is late you're more than likely not going to get that bfp.

CuppaSarah · 05/04/2015 12:24

Congrats ava!! Our first bfp yay!! How long were you trying? And yes we need a picture today!

Patty I had a bfn today after a bfp yesterday on those bloody ics, I kept quiet as they've given me false positives before. But I'm 6 days from expecting AF and only used a Morrison's own cheaply test, so I wasn't about to get a bfp I suppose! We're both just testing too early. I'm not sure if I should test or not tomorrow.

diamondsparkles · 05/04/2015 11:53

Sorry about the BFN patty but yes it could just be too early. Some tests aren't as sensitive as they claim. Fingers crossed for you, it's horrible being in limbo. What test did you use?
Thanks avas - so pleased for you! Can't wait to see the BFP pic!

Avasmum8 · 05/04/2015 11:28

So sorry for the BFP Patty :( deff re test in a few days, keeping everything crossed for you!

Diamondsparkles I am taking pregnancy multivitamins, no caffine or alcohol, keep my hips raises for at least ten mins following dtd and dtd regularly for 1-2 weeks after my AF in march. I think DH and I are quite fertile though as I've had two surprise pregnancies before.

I'll do another test this evening and post that one, hoping for more BFPs from you guys soon xx

PattyODoors · 05/04/2015 08:27

Welcome wonder. Huge congrats on the BFP avasmum! AFM after several days of very convincing symptoms, feeling nauseous and cramping tummy I tested this morning. Gutted to have got a BFN Sad but as DH has said it might be too early, AF due Tues.

diamondsparkles · 05/04/2015 07:59

Morning!
Congrats avas!!
What fantastic news! Please upload a photo Smile
I bet you can't concentrate on work now. So any tips? Did you do anything different this month?
The first (of many) BFPs for this thread I hope Grin

Avasmum8 · 05/04/2015 06:12

Good morning everyone :) So, I know I wasn't going to test until Tuesday but we had a Chinese takeaway last night and my urine was very concentrated this morning so thought it would be a good one to use! And I got my first BFP! It was only really faint, I might try to upload it but I have to go to work in a minute.. I'll keep testing until it gets darker but it deff looks like a line, I'm trying to not get excited yet incase I'm imagining things lol xx

Happy Easter Sunday! X

mrsmugoo · 04/04/2015 23:02

Haha probably no shagging here - got the baby in with us!

My parents are taking him back to theirs on Thursday for 2 nights though and just by chance I think that will be our best 2 days to be getting busy!

WonderIfThingsWillChange · 04/04/2015 22:02

Thanks for the welcome! I'm hoping he age gap will be a good thing, he doesn't need constant supervision and entertaining now and he's very helpful and caring (although catagorically does not want a baby brother or sister but I hope he will come round if it happens!)

woundbobbin · 04/04/2015 21:03

Welcome wonder you are most welcome! 7 yr age gap no doubt he will be a useful entertainer for a new baby my DN is that age and he is fab with his baby brother especially on car journeys! Mrsmugoo are you planning on shagging at the in laws really tee hee sorry for being childish! I'm in an awful mood today no good reason obviously it must be pregnancy hormones why do I torture myself this way???

WonderIfThingsWillChange · 04/04/2015 20:40

Hello! Can I join please?

I'm 31 and have DS (7 yrs) and have just started TTC number 2! Had the implant removed last week so no it's all systems go!!

For many years I said I would only have 1 DC but over the last year I've started to get more broody. I only TTC for a month with DS but that was a long time ago Smile

CuppaSarah · 04/04/2015 19:09

I already caved in too! Got an evap and nothing, but what was I expecting at 8dpo? Sorry you have to work easter! But being run down has got to be a symptom.

Good luck everyone due to ovulate soon!!

Avasmum8 · 04/04/2015 17:32

Cuppasarah I tested today again, 8 dpo think I'm addicted to POAS haha, and of course it was negative! Going to really try and leave it till I'm 11 dpo now, how about you?

Hope everyone is ok today :) I'm feeling so tired, think I'm coming down with a cold or something which isn't great timing as I'm back to work tomorrow after having a week off....

mrsmugoo · 04/04/2015 14:56

Off to the in-laws until Tuesday and I've packed the opks!

diamondsparkles · 04/04/2015 09:21

Hi patty - yes I'm glad I'm not the only one too! I'm the oldest one by a few years in my friends so always feel like the odd one out when it comes to trying to get pregnant!
Fingers crossed for you then - keep us updated! I'm just starting the tww so got ages yet.
Happy Easter to you too and everyone here Easter Grin
