Hello - can I join in too? Have a 3yo who took 13 cycles to conceive. I do want another but very apprehensive about realities of having 2. I hated the the lack of sleep and had PND too. We have just started not preventing again and I'm terrified either that it will happen straight away, or not at all, and I don't have the energy to worry about obsessing over not falling pregnant.

Anyway - hello!

CarrotPuff · 23/04/2015 10:59

Grr stupid laptop just lost a post!

Cake and Wine for the witch hosts. It's quite cool you're all having synchro cycles though. If you all get upduffed you'll have the same EDD until 12w scan at least Grin

Having some serious EWCM here, so wanted to DTD yesterday too but DP was tired Confused Today should still be good though, and I think I've just ovulated too.

Sorry to those AF got, hoping this new cycle will be the one for you all. Fingers crossed for those who are testing on the next few days. Good luck to the shaggers! May all your eggs be fertilised.

I still have a couple cycles worth of soy isoflavones of anyone's interested.

Avasmum I'm still really nervous too, had to poas yesterday just to confirm the line was darker. As for symptoms, light stretchy cramps, mega sore and huge boobs, bit bloaty and I've been sick a couple times. If your symptoms are stronger this time it's a really good sign, so try not to worry(as if that's possible Grin TTC, pregnancy, birth and children are just worry after worry)

CharChar2015 · 23/04/2015 02:39

Sorry you're joining me in AF club bird & mrsmugoo at least we're in it together and CD1 - new cycle, new chance :) got to stay positive - there's a little baby up there somewhere for each of us - just waiting for the right moment to be a part of our family.

Sending you extra positive vibes tango

Hey avasmummy I can understand why you're nervous - after a miscarriage you turn into a paranoid wreck :-0 but strong symptoms is a good sign I guess :)

mrsmugoo sounds a bit like our house the other day - it's easy to say hurtful things in an argument. Hope you've made up now! You have about a week to make friends anyway then you'll need him for his baby making skills haha - jokes ;)

mrsmugoo · 22/04/2015 23:03

Has not been a good day here. I'm little miss PMT and have argued with DH about him not pulling his weight and being married to his business. More than one "is it really a good idea to be having another baby" has been thrown in to the arguments (from both sides)

Hoping for a better day tomorrow :(

Avasmum8 · 22/04/2015 16:49

Sorry for the AF Mrsmugoo and birdbrain :( fingers crossed for everyone else waiting!

Cuppa have u noticed any symptoms yet?

I'm feeling very very bloated char and keep getting waves of nausea and my boobs are heavy and sore! I'm still nervous though, the symptoms seem a lot stronger than my previous preg that ended in miscarriage so can't wait to get the 12week scan and see that everything is hopefully okay! Almost six weeks away though Eughhh x

mrsmugoo · 22/04/2015 13:31

Stop the press - getting the start of AF now Confused

Queazy · 22/04/2015 13:30

I haven't POAS either, but 99% sure AF is due tomorrowHmm

mrsmugoo · 22/04/2015 13:00

AF due Friday here too - not tempted to POAS as I feel about as PMT as it possible to be - proper emotional wreck here lol!

Tangoandcreditcards · 22/04/2015 12:48

Jealous of your self control bird; I'm due AF Friday but am out for Wine tonight so thought I better POAS this morning just in case. BFN. Obviously.

Can't properly rule myself out due to past late BFPs but after a small cry last night over house-packing and the need to consume a whole pile of chocolate I think I can feel AF looming. Might go easy on the wine anyway, it just makes me angry when I've got PMT. Grin

char send some of those positive vibes my way, I don't think DP will suffer another meltdown over whether or not the boxes will all fit in the van.

Hope you're feeling Ok avas and cuppa and you had fun last night carrot Wink

birdbrain21 · 22/04/2015 12:13

I'm glad I managed the self control as AF arrived in the night. Oh well a new month to see what happens at least I'm not in the tww. Think I'll go spend the money I saved on some chocolate, dd has a cold and was up half the night, makes me glad I'm not pg at the moment.
mrsmagoo how you feeling? is your lo any better?

PattyODoors · 22/04/2015 07:42

Sorry to read your story Charchar. Cuppa I've got everything crossed for you. mrsmagoo hope you feel better soon. As for me I'm out this month, work have announced redundancies, might be best if we don't ttc this month until I know the outcome Sad

CuppaSarah · 22/04/2015 07:29

Thanks for the congratulations again. Tommorow is when my period would have been due, so until I make it to Friday I'll be a little nervous.

Sorry to hear your story Sep15. I really hope one day soon you'll be looking from the other side of the fence.

Sorry about AF charchar. I temped and opked for my last two cycles so they obviously do the job!

Fingers crossed mrsmugoo and birdbrain and anyone else testing soon. Hope it's your months!

CharChar2015 · 22/04/2015 02:01

Thanks for the star torfhinn - still only cd2 but def feeling positive for this month! My online order of bbt thermometer and my opk's just arrived! Does anyone else temp? This is my first month !

Well done on the self control bird - you're a better woman than I am lol ;)

How you feeling avasmum ?

birdbrain21 · 21/04/2015 22:42

Nobody should ever feel bad for sharing their story, that's what we're here for!
I've been getting mild cramps in the tops of my legs this evening which normally happens the first couple of days of AF but haven't seen any blood yet. Not sure what it means as they usually come after the bleeding starts will have to wait and see, not getting too hopeful yet because I'm not sure when it's due exactly this month...On a positive note I walked past three pharmacies on my errands today and didn't go in to any to buy pg tests. I'm feeling very proud of my self-control but I think I might break soon, because of irregular periods its been months since I took a test and I feel like I'm missing it Hmm

Avasmum8 · 21/04/2015 20:59

Congratulations Cuppa!! Sorry haven't been on for a while been crazy busy at work and we go on holiday on the weekend so it's a bit manic here...

Hello to the Newbies and sorry to hear your story sep15 :( hopefully we can make you feel a little bit better, everyone is lovely on this thread xx

Torfhinn · 21/04/2015 19:09

Welcome Sep15. I'm sorry to hear your story but thank you for sharing, it must be so hard. Remember, you are in the darkest part of the tunnel right now and one day you'll look back at this time and think 'wow, that was tough'. Try to focus on the postives - the tests didn't find anything bad and you are receiving treatment to get you that sticky BPF, which I'm sure will happen Smile Feel free to share on here - sometimes it's easier than sharing with nearest and dearest Flowers

Sorry to hear you are still ill Mrsmugoo, hope you feel better soon

Sorry AF got you Char but here's a Star (gold star!) for positivity!

CarrotPuff · 21/04/2015 17:21

Oh bless you sep15, please don't apologise! You've been through such rough times! {{hugs}} I hope clomid works Flowers

mrsmugoo that's crap, being ill and looking after a toddler is no fun at all! I hope you get better soon, and DH is looking after you. Lots of Brew all around!

Got EWCM yesterday, I guess I might be ovulating a bit earlier this month. Some shagging is on books tonight!

OP posts:
mrsmugoo · 21/04/2015 08:35

Sore throat seems to have buggered off but replaced with cough and streaming cold, bleugh!

DS is being a trooper but he's snotty and coughing too.

DH home today!! He lands at Heathrow in an hour so I should see him by midday. I think I may cry - it's been a very tough week. I'm used to him being away but I'm not used to being ill in sole charge of a toddler :(

CharChar2015 · 21/04/2015 02:21

Oh sep15 sending you a big hug. What a rough and rocky road you've been on / are still on. I'm not sure what to say - but thank you for sharing your storey and I hope you can find support on this thread. You definitely don't sound like you're feeling sorry for yourself - you must have so much strength to get as far as you have. I am sending you lots of positive vibes and baby dust.

Hope you & DS are feeling better soon mrsmugoo

I've just been hit by AF so CD1 for me. And feeling positive for this month :)

PattyODoors · 20/04/2015 22:10

Wow, I can't keep up in here! Congrats cuppa here's to a happy and healthy pregnancy! Well CD 7 here I think seeing as AF messed me about last month being late, then spotting for 3 days and then it being super heavy and v painful. The preseason friendlies have started in our house in anticipation of ov.

sep15 · 20/04/2015 14:13

Hi everyone... hope its ok for me to share my story in ttc #2... I have had a bit of a rough time about it as of late and just feel like I need to share my story. I am very fortunate to have an amazing DS who has just turned 3 1/2... to me, he was a miracle... Once we started ttc, we fell pregnant in 3 months, but had a miscarriage at 11 weeks. We then fell pregnant again 3 months later and yet another miscarriage at 7 1/2 weeks. We ended up taking some time off of ttc and took a big trip and then a few months later (a whole year after starting ttc), I fell pregnant and that one stuck!

Now, we are ttc #2 and the road has even been harder... we have hit the 2 year mark in ttc (couldn't even tell you the number of cycles at this point), with no positive tests or anything that made me think once I was pregnant. We started working with a clinic and have ran all of the tests (bloods, tube dye test, semen tests) and all seems to be OK. The biggest issue is I am about to turn 39 in July and am very very aware of my age (my mom and all three of her sisters all hit early menopause by the time they were 40!)... so we have had to start some treatment.

I am now on my second round of clomid and trigger shots (doc wanted to give this a go for a few months before we move to the IVF option) and must admit, I think I may just be giving up hope... I just never thought that trying for children was ever going to be this difficult... All my sister in laws (I have four of them) already have two kids each, with one of them pregnant with her third... I just get so sad to think that we may never be able to extent our wonderful family and give my son a sibling...

I know I must sound like I am feeling sorry for myself but do feel a bit alone in all of this... no one else I know has any problems and all have fell pregnant without much of a problem. Some days its just hard to stay positive!

Tangoandcreditcards · 20/04/2015 13:36

Hope you had a nice break knitted

Rest easy mrsmugoo - judicious application of Calpol for runny toddlers.

Despite all my protestations and twice not getting BFP before 21DPO; I POAS this morning (10 DPO). BFN shocker.

Was feeling sickish last night, so thought it was worth a go. Although given that due to my impending house move I'm living on whatever is left in the cupboards/freezer (unidentified mince dish followed by xmas pudding anyone??) it's not really much of a surprise I'm feeling sickish!

No more stick peeing this week. I promise!! (Superdrug were sold out)

knittedmittens · 19/04/2015 21:01

Thanks for the welcome all, though sorry I arrived and then disappeared for the week - we went away and decided to have a bit of a break from all things screen!

Congrats Cuppa, great news!

Carrot I have a boy and a girl, they are lots of fun! Definitely incredibly hard at the start, but I'm ready to do it again so it can't be that bad Hmm

mrsmugoo · 19/04/2015 20:58

Still feeling flipping horrendous here and DS woke up from his nap crying today as he's got a cold too, so symptom spotting just not on my radar. I think I'm 6dpo and AF is due Friday and fully expecting it to arrive.
