All ages and age gaps welcome!

I'm 29, have a 16mo DS, TTC since periods came back in July 2014, had a mc in Jan.

Anyone else?

carrot 5dpo is the worst bit of waiting for me...so close yet so looong!! Anything to distract yourself from symptom spotting?

Hello hope - oh I see you're in the middle bit of 2ww too - aargh! It's so frustrating!

I'm totally chilled out atm as I'm only on cd5 so enjoying not being a nutter. I'm considering just doing every-other-day rather than shag-a-thon this month to take a bit of the pressure off but it's easy to say that at this point in the cycle!

HopeintheAir · 28/04/2015 20:33

Hi everyone, could I please join you?

I'm 34 and have a 16 month DD. Have been trying to conceive no.2 for 6 months. Got a bit impatient and have had a scan and blood tests, and seen analysis for DH. Got results today and apparently all's well so that's a big relief.

Now on CD19 and 7dpo so right in the middle of the 2ww and going crazy!

Congrats to those with bfps and fx for everyone else Smile

CarrotPuff · 28/04/2015 18:40

Big wave and Cake to newbies!

Oh Tango congrats! Nice timing too Smile

This cycle is dragging. 5dpo... Totally failing to eat healthily and my caffeine intake would keep an elephant awake... Confused

Oh tango! Congrats!! I am obviously jealous ;) but taking the fact that we are getting so many BFPs in this thread as a good luck omen.

I'm now looking forward to this months opks and shagathon woop!

LaPampa · 28/04/2015 10:48

we're all so hard on ourselves aren't we :) mrsmugoo - I second that what you're feeling is perfectly normal and nothing you thought would or could have affected your SIL. I hope she (and you) are ok x

I'd forgotten that you're supposed to take folic acid. I'd better get some. Isn't it funny what was all consuming only 4/5 years ago has already been forgotten.

Tango - congrats!

DianaOstara · 28/04/2015 07:01

:) tango !! What a lovely start to life in your new place!

Tangoandcreditcards · 28/04/2015 05:48

Oh mugoo , I'm sorry about your SIL. What sad news. Don't feel bad yourself though, that way madness lies. If we took ourselves to task for every less than charitable thought that popped in our brain, we (I) would be in a lot of trouble.

Then... at the risk of incurring some of those uncharitable thoughts myself... I found a chemist on my way home... And got a BFP last night. I'm genuinely in shock.

bobbin The house is a tip. But we'll get there. Hopefully within the next 8 months!

mrsmugoo · 27/04/2015 22:17

Ignore the apps! It's an app that told me I ovulate on day 12 that's the reason I've got my son haha!

woundbobbin · 27/04/2015 21:06

Hope you are feeling better tango and the house is coming together.
Bird the horrid app I downloaded told me I ovulated on cd12 but the silly sticks are still not giving me smiley faces and today is cd16! I think I read somewhere that the apps are not especially accurate.
Mugoo so sad for your poor sil don't feel bad for being jealous nothing you felt or feel could possibly have effected her or her pregnancy.
Still no smiley face for me I spent my lunch break googling short luteal phase and have now convinced myself I'm not longer fertile and spent much of the afternoon thinking about whether or not I would consider adoption. DH thinks I should consider being less of a loon first!

DianaOstara · 27/04/2015 21:01

Mrs you're far from horrendous - just feeling the normal range of emotions of any regular person - we all get a little jealous but then that can immediately turn to compassion when the situation changes. I hope your SIL is ok and that her bfp is doing its best to stick.

I could have written your earlier post! I'm experiencing much shorter leutal phase than when I conceived dd (it's averaging 10 days atm). I heard Vit C is supposed to help as it increases progesterone but then stopped taking it last month as I also heard high Vit C can prevent pregnancy Confused !

Cycle Day 4 here. Small ttc things I've done today...taken vits, folic acid and extra Vit C...drank lots of water...only had one cup of tea...watching my favourite tv to relax...planning on being asleep by 10pm

mrsmugoo · 27/04/2015 17:51

SIL is pretty sure she's lost the pregnancy today. Feel like such a horrendous person for feeling jealousy :(

birdbrain21 · 27/04/2015 17:11

So as my periods have been so irregular for the last few months I decided to download an app on my phone and see if it could average things out for me. It seems to think I'm ovulating today and my ovulation period lasts for 6 days. I'm a bit skeptical how accurate that is I'm sure normal ovulation is 2-3 not 6 days and I still have my period so how can I be ovulating :/

Tangoandcreditcards · 27/04/2015 12:41

bobbin I did already test twice last week and I've had 2 previous pregnancies and never had a BFP before 7 days late. Pretty sure it's just the lurgy throwing it off, though, I'm just not feeling it. On top of that my new commute does not take me via a convenient pee-stick-shop. Angry

Might have to pop out at lunch for one a box of several

I've never tried the ovulation kits - I probably get ovulation pains at least 2/3rds of the time. I feel like I'm missing out on some ovulation kit chat, maybe I should try next time...

mrsmugoo · 26/04/2015 22:26

Woundbobbin I got solid smiley on day 16 and then AF on day 25 so only 9 day luteal phase. Can't stop doing my own head in about short luteal phases now Hmm

LaPampa · 26/04/2015 22:11

Tangoandcreditcards and Mugoo - I know what you mean. Somehow even if you don't know you want it, someone else having it hurts!

Am going to get some of those CB digi ovulation kits. Am I stupid to buy them in Boots - is there some super cheap online place?! (Amazon?) Thanks for the recommendation. I didn't use them last time, perhaps they are new?

woundbobbin · 26/04/2015 21:54

TANGO you are two days late and you've not tested golden star of extreme patience to you! (Or maybe you are mental)
Mugoo I feel your pain and totally understand how you feel you know you shouldn't but you just do!
I'm cd15 today and still no smiley face on my silly sticks. Safety shag on cd12 & cd14 but have now convinced myself I no longer ovulate taking mental to a whole new level Shock

Tangoandcreditcards · 26/04/2015 21:10

Hi everyone. Especially new ones.

mugoo I hear you. I wasn't even supposed to TTC until July but then 4 (!!) friends announced babies due in Sep and I couldn't wait any longer. Now I'm so jealous of the updates, even though I despised being actually pregnant.

I'm on the mend. Still not eaten much since Fri and a bit feeble, the house is a godawful mess and I've only just managed to find clean underwear for work tomorrow... On that note... No sign of AF... 2 days late... Is almost certainly lurgy related...isn't it??? (Insanity high five torf )

Torfhinn · 26/04/2015 18:30

Welcome pteradactyl I'm pretty scared about the decison to have another, I think it must be normal - we are not naiive anymore, we know what we are gettingnourselves in for, but also know it's absolutely worth it!

Welsome Diana! I'm going for the 'be as healthy as possible' approach too, exercise and no caffiene or alcohol. I'm really missing wine!

It's normal to feel the way you do Mrsmugoo, you can't deny your own feelings just because you are supposed to be happy for someone. Don't feel like a bad person Flowers

Hope you are feeling better Tango

Now in my first TWW, I had menstrual type cramps yesterday (CD16) but I normally get ov pains on one side and these were central and lower, but had a safety shag this morning just in case or maybe it was implantation cramps Only cycle one and already going slightly insane Hmm

mrsmugoo · 26/04/2015 17:41

My SIL just told me she got a BFP today.

I'm jealous. Hmm

We had our DCs 9 weeks apart, her first. I really hoped to pip her to the post this time as that 9 week difference has been so annoying with her being the authority on bloody everything pregnancy and baby related. Now she'll be the bloody oracle of having two kids.

They weren't even trying. I wish I was more pleased for her. I feel like a bad person Hmm

CharChar2015 · 26/04/2015 02:15

Hey all... Welcome Diana / Pixie / pterodactyl :)

Oh Tango so sorry you're having a rough time! I really hope it's a quick 24 hr bug and you're back to full health soon. I have to say your auto correct error made me spit tea out laughing ! Grin

CD6 here... Boring! But not too long until I can start weeing on op sticks lol Wink

Happy holidays avasmummy :)

Avasmum8 · 25/04/2015 20:48

Evening ladies! Hope you get to test when you feel better tango!!

And big congratulations Queazy! :)

I won't be able to message on here for a week as going on holiday in the morning! But I'll catch up on the goss when I'm back :) xx

mrsmugoo · 25/04/2015 20:36

Welcome Pteradactyl!

mrsmugoo · 25/04/2015 20:34

Welcome Pteradactyl!

Tangoandcreditcards · 25/04/2015 19:35

It's just starting to ease off now mugoo (hit us simultaneously at midnight last night, thank God the new place has 2 loos!). I've had a couple of rich teas and will see how it goes from there, we're a bit short of supplies on account of the medicine cabinet being one of the left-behind things (DP was supposed to shuttle back today) and fridge and shopping don't arive until tomorrow.

Still. A reasonable distraction from the task in hand.

pteradactyl · 25/04/2015 19:24

Hey all.

I'm 29 and have a DD who is almost 6 (what? how did that happen!?). I always intended to have two close together but since her dad turned out to not be the one for me as it happened that didn't happen.

So ttc number 2. Bit nervous to be honest, seems like forever since I did the baby thing and much as I can't wait to have another I do think "oh god, not sleepless nights again!" which tbh is probably more exaggerated since my darling daughter didn't sleep through until she was 4.5!! And then there's the fact that sometimes one drives me utterly insane, am I crazy to have another? but I think this is normal?! ish? I don't know lol

Anyway! I have just stopped taking the pill. And it took 9 months to conceive my little monkey so I expect it will be a while before I get a BFP, but you never know!
