Hello! Thanks for the warm welcome. Good luck on your 2WW! I suppose you could say I'm in mine, but it could be a 2,3 or 4WW!

Does anyone else here have unreliable cycles? If so, when would you recommend testing?? Only possible symptoms for me are a week of nausea and fatigue, followed by light cramping in my hips/tops of thighs randomly, ever since. Boobs, appetite and emotions remain unchanged (those were my symptoms for #1), so trying not to obsess (lol, who am I kidding!)

Torfhinn · 16/08/2015 19:06

Hi all, welcome SeriousStuff and LittleAindy!

I'm sorry the NHS is being so rubbish for you Mrsmugoo, I really hope you get some positive outcomes from your private appointment.

CD13 here, started using OPK's as lots of DTD and a 15mo is not working. They seem to tie in with what I think, which is OV day 15, so I might not carry on using them for long, just aim for DTD day 12-15ish.

I'm preparing myself now for the hell of mad symptom spotting!

LittleAindy · 16/08/2015 09:37

Hi all, looking for a comfy thread to join! TTC #2 since April '15 (DS is now 4). Took nearly 15 months for AF to return after coming off the Depo injection. Periods/cycles all over the f'in place so I've given up trying to predict when I'm Ov'ing or when AF is due. #1 was conceived in 1st month of trying so was under a false impression that it would be easy the next time!

Pleading guilty to far too much symptom spotting over the last few months!! Blush Blush

Pixie2015 · 12/08/2015 16:40

cd4 on the soy think will be a one month only as think it making me feel sickly and it is too difficult to remember to take - also trying to throw a little exercise into the mix! During possible fertile period will be on holiday 3 in a room with the ultimate contraception (a 7y old sleeping between us)! So not feeling hopeful on DTD but will make best of break.

mrsmugoo · 10/08/2015 21:33

A truly boring CD6 here today.

Tfoot75 · 08/08/2015 18:39

Congrats on all the BFPs!

Haven't posted in a while. Last month AF turned up a few days late which was weird, due again tomorrow but not sure if it will arrive on time. Haven't had much ewcm either month so don't think my hormones are really in sync after coming off the mini pill yet. Ideally would prefer to get BFP at the end of the year though so not worried or stressed. Just a bit strange. Can't quite remember if it was the same first time around (although I have never had a late AF until I got BFP) but do seem to remember feeling as if things were not quite regulated for a while and wondering if that was why it look so long (tried for 18 months before BFP).

mrsmugoo · 08/08/2015 16:37

I have an appt privately in 3 weeks as my progesterone came back super low and probably not even ovulating it was so low but the NHS seem to think it's all fine and sent me on my way for 2 years Confused

Pixie2015 · 07/08/2015 18:01

Arrgh just made a mistake - in preparation for next month went shopping should have read more info the holland and Barrett are too high dose - never mind on the bright side I am now well prepared incase of menopause!

TTC #2 - would anyone like to share the journey?
Pixie2015 · 05/08/2015 07:07

Welcome seriousstuff????
Mrsmugoo sounds good to have private clinic nearby - I had a Google of clinics around us but going to give it another cycle - not hopeful though ????????

SeriousStuff · 03/08/2015 19:28

Can I join? I'm 34 and started TTC for #2 this weekend. We're keeping it cool for now i.e. not tracking mucus or dates and just not using protection when we DTD. At least that's what I told DH...I've already got my old fertility app back on my phone. AF due on 25th Aug. With #1 we conceived on cycle 1, so my expectations are dangerously high...

Going for the 2nd feels so different to the first - we were so excited first time and oblivious to everything that would follow! Now, we're worried about money but desperate for a sibling for our DD. She's 22 months so thought it was a good time to start thinking about it.

mrsmugoo · 02/08/2015 23:18

Yes from my information gathering, I've got my head around that too and understand that but I know I was being fobbed off by my GP, well either being fobbed off or she just was going out of her book and doesn't really understand about late ovulation and short luteal phases.

I will see the outcome of Wednesday and if I still feel fobbed off I am going to make an appt at a private clinic, my best friend has been seeing a fertility specialist there and has had blood tests and scans and has now started clomid and the prices are very reasonable and she says they are fantastic!

She wasn't ovulating and the NHS fobbed her off for almost two years but it's only been a couple of months at the private place and she's spent less than a grand and now they are cooking on gas finally. All that time wasted! I am not going to let that happen to me.

Pixie2015 · 01/08/2015 21:53

Hormone tests in isolation don't give much info need lots to see pattern of progesterone level so even if first one abnormal doesn't mean next one will be don't let it spoil your weekend.
cd21 and not a hint of tenderness anywhere so not hopeful!
Can't believe it is now August almost a year since started this effort !

mrsmugoo · 31/07/2015 15:05

And now having spent the afternoon trying to get information from fertility forums it seems these blood tests are more than likely a load of rubbish as if I don't ovulate until day 18ish then there's no point checking progesterone until 7dpo I.e cd25. Going earlier is going to show a progesterone level that appears to not support ovulation.

All this I know from my own research - the GP is totally clueless!!

Oh well I am back on the opks and temping from now so I will try to get more blood taken on the correct day!

woundbobbin · 31/07/2015 14:39

Not dramatic at all mugoo
Is it possible that it's just a routine telephone call? If they had bad news would they not ask you to come for an face to face appointment? Perhaps the nurse not able to analyse bloods?
Agree it is all very cold hearted.
Lots of wine chocolate and sunshine for you.

mrsmugoo · 31/07/2015 13:08

Just been in for my day 22 bloods. Asked the nurse if results were in from Tuesday's day 19 and she just said there was a note on my file to book a telephone appt with the doctor.

It doesn't feel good :(

I'm feeling quite tearful about everything - I just want to know what is happening with me.

I keep looking at my son and it makes my heart ache how much I love him and how much I long for a sibling for him and I just can't imagine how I'd feel if it never happened.

I know I'm being over dramatic and probably a bit pre-menstrual - I just wish the NHS were more sympathetic to the human element of trying to get pregnant.

Torfhinn · 28/07/2015 09:58

Congratulations woundbobbin! So pleased for you!

mrsmugoo · 28/07/2015 09:04

Oh my gosh congratulations woundbobbin!!!

Cd19 here. No sex at all this month in the window unless we can manage it tonight so probably another month off but will be 100% back in from next month.

Had blood taken this morning and also done this Friday.

Pixie2015 · 27/07/2015 17:35

Congratulations woundbobbin x

woundbobbin · 27/07/2015 17:08

Got my BFP today Grin genuinely cannot believe it!
Fx for you all

Torfhinn · 27/07/2015 15:30

Hi all Smile

We are back trying again this month so thought I'd catch up with you all! Glad to see some recent bfps!

I'm currently 7dpo so obsessively symptom spotting!

mrsmugoo · 23/07/2015 20:28

Don't talk to me about early AF Hmm

I'm getting creamy CM now so getting close to ov, I'm on cd14, but who knows what's going on with me?! I'm not doing opks or temping because it will be a miracle if I can dtd in the fertile window anyway this month as DH is working at a festival until Monday. I'm joining him tomorrow but sex will be pretty low down the agenda. Plus it's going to be pissing down and muddy, plus I think a friend is sharing our tent!

I'm having bloods taken on Tuesday and Friday to see what the he'll my cycles are doing.

Fingers crossed woundbobbin!

woundbobbin · 23/07/2015 19:25

How's everyone doing?
AF due for me any time from tomorrow.

Last month AF was four days early and I didn't have the end of cycle will it won't it saga. also last month I was convinced not pregnant so wasn't really thinking about it.

This month I can't seem to persuade myself I'm not pregnant. Rationally I know its really unlikely but can't stop
being hopeful. I know I'm going to be really devastated when AF inevitably arrives. I hate this stupid process!

Sorry that's turned into a really self obsessed rant!

Pixie2015 · 18/07/2015 15:21

Fabulous news raeside loving the variety of tests ????

EmFlat · 18/07/2015 08:10

Congratulations *Raeside!!!! So pleased for you Smile

Mrs, your doctor is indeed a complete dick... how insensitive does she want to be?? Ffs. I'd give her both barrels of sarcasm next time you speak to her.

Well, I can confirm that there is a definite BFP over here... the faint pink lines now definitely stronger and no sign of AF. Duck me.

We're in the new house now so there's tonnes to do: off to buy a washing machine and sundries for a deep-clean. The people who lived her before were actual animals Confused it's disgusting. Hey ho, happy Saturday everyone, sending loads of love to all as always xxx b

woundbobbin · 17/07/2015 18:10

Congratulations raeside that's brilliant news!
Mugoo your GP sounds like an patronising arse! ????
CD 19 here don't know if I ovulated or not this month - so having a big bottle of prosecco this weekend anyway!
Sunny weekends to all
