All ages and age gaps welcome!

I'm 29, have a 16mo DS, TTC since periods came back in July 2014, had a mc in Jan.

Anyone else?

Congrats bird!!

Sorry for not posting since Monday. I was trying not to get too obsessed during the 2nd week of the tww (who was I kidding?!)

Anyway, I caved and splashed out on a Frer and got a bfp last night! I'm over the moon but, at the same time, I'm also terrified. I have all the cramps and grumpiness that I had in march and that resulted in mc.Sad In contrast, with dd I had virtually no symptoms until I was at least seven weeks. I'm trying hard to remain optimistic.

HopeintheAir · 22/05/2015 15:20

Congratulations bird Grin!

CarrotPuff · 22/05/2015 14:13

Ooh bird congrats, that's definitely a positive!

I'm not very hopeful this month, we've only DTD twice in the "fertile window" and I really don't think this will be enough.

Had my smear done yesterday - ouch! She made a really good scrape around there, and I'm still spotting!

Hello! I'm back from my hen (amazing) and have enjoyed not being tww-crazy as I was still on a high from a fab-weekend with the majority of my friend's either without kids yet or have decided not to have them so I had a taste of being young, free and single! This combined with being super-busy at work has made this week much easier than last month. I'm CD 30 and following a dream where I got a bfp I've tested this-morning and bfn. I'm expecting af today based on previous cycles.

wound I think I might book myself in for a docs app. I don't quite feel the need yet but it took me 3months to get an app to have my implant out so I may as well get the ball rolling!

bird huge congratulations! I had exactly the same with my first - thought I had bfn, chucked the test, re-checked later for some odd reason and saw a faint line. I made dh pee on a test when he got home to check that the line didn't always appear when peed on!

To everyone else who has tested this week (seems like there are a lot of us!) Chin up, on to the next month :)

woundbobbin · 21/05/2015 22:14

Congrats bird that's brilliant news.
Saw the GP today she says maybe I have stopped ovulating or am not ovulating every month. I'm to go back next week for blood tests has to be done on CD21 apparently which is why I have to wait...... Cd 15 today so mid shagathon not sure if it's worth it now! Hmm

birdbrain21 · 21/05/2015 09:19

Thanks everyone! I still can't really believe it as I feel normal, sure the nausea will kick in soon enough and I'll regret wishing for it!

Torfhinn · 21/05/2015 09:17

Congratulations Bird! So pleased for you! Test away if it makes you feel better, but you are pregnant Grin

Sorry about the negative Wax, but as you say, it is very early, stay positive and maybe test again in a few days (easy for me to say, I know!)

Have a lovely, sunny Thursday everyone!

waxweasel · 21/05/2015 08:57

Congratulations!!!! Amazing news!!

I just did a test but it was negative. To be expected though as it's still early for me...maybe 7dpo, possibly less? Just wanted to give it a whirl as I feel so odd.

mrsmugoo · 21/05/2015 06:52

Another bfp! Congrats birdbrain!

Raeside · 21/05/2015 06:35

Excellent work bird! Congratulations!!

birdbrain21 · 20/05/2015 23:30

I'm sorry I know lots of you are still hoping and waiting I'm just in shock, as soon as I tell him it becomes real and I'm suddenly panicking!

birdbrain21 · 20/05/2015 23:29

I don't know what to say! I convinced myself I'd either get pg as soon as stopping the pill or it would take months, it's been 3!

Indomitable · 20/05/2015 23:25

Tell him! It's definitely a positive! And you'll never sleep either way!

Indomitable · 20/05/2015 23:24

I don't think false positives are that easy to get. Those stories could be people testing early and detecting a chemical pregnancy. Or it might be that they're 'seeing' a really faint line when it's damp.

Some of the pic posted on other threads here that have people proclaiming they can see lines are completely imperceptible to me. I imagine a lot of it is wishful thinking.

But that one in the pic is unmistakable. I'd be very surprised if you had 3 genuine false positives from more than one batch.

But if I was you I'd be peeing on sticks left right and centre anyway! Because of my own self doubt, not doubt in the tech.

birdbrain21 · 20/05/2015 23:23

Are you sure?! I've been feeling really bloated but that also happens before af. I'm so nervous to believe it. With dd I knew straight away because I felt so nauseous and tired but I'm not sure if I'm imagining syptoms because I just poas! Should I go tell dh he hasn't gone to sleep yet? Or test again in the morning (4th test) and then tell him?!

Indomitable · 20/05/2015 23:20

I'm up! That's brilliant Bird! Totally positive!

With DS I poas when my period was a week late and got the positive, so about 5wks. Then at 6wks the nausea hit like a truck. That week before I tested I was bloated (And busy, hence not really clocking what was going on for a whole week!) and had gone off chocolate (weird) but nothing else.

Hopefully you'll feel amazing throughout this entire pregnancy! Congratulations!

birdbrain21 · 20/05/2015 23:18

P.s I've been reading about online and people seem to think they've had false positives on sainsburys. Both the make I used yesterday and today are cheap and supposedly unreliable is it possible to get false positives on 3 tests (2 different makes)?!

birdbrain21 · 20/05/2015 23:08

Anyone still up?! I've just done another test!!!!!!!!!
I'm 99.9999999999999999999999999999% sure it's positive (from sainsburys) but I don't really have any symptoms. with dd I felt really tired and nauseous the whole time, that's why I took a test I hadn't even realised my period was 3 weeks late. Do I feel fine because it's still so early 4 weeks or am I not pg?!?! I don't know what to tell dh!

(hard to get a good picture I've attached 2)

Thanks torfhinn that's really helpful...I just used ovulation sticks before so never had to get to the point of checking CM. Think I'll leave the pictures for now, thanks all the same! ;)

Torfhinn · 20/05/2015 18:55

Wax as far as I know, EWCM is before you ovulate, then once you have 'dried up', you can assume ovulation has happened. So when you see EWCM, you are fertile until it stops. The fertility friend website has a clear article on tracking CM if you are interested, The baby centre has one with pictures [boak] if you are really interested!

Sorry, not tried Sainsburys tests but Fx Bird Smile

birdbrain21 · 20/05/2015 18:43

Thanks torfhin but I'm going to assume they were evaporation lines until I manage to get out and buy another test, I didn't have time today! I'm very skeptical they're positives as apart from being tired and backache I haven't had any symptoms, but I also just started a new teaching job so tired and backache could be from that Confused

Going shopping soon so will try get a test and use it tomorrow on the basis af still hasn't arrived. Has anyone used sainsburys own before, are they any good?

waxweasel · 20/05/2015 18:21

So I have a question about EWCM :)

When you notice it, is that the signal that you have ovulated? Or is it the sign that you are about to ovulate in the next few days?

I remember noticing it maybe 2 days before I dtd last week, and then it carried on for maybe 4-5 days. So would ovulation have been at the beginning, the middle, or the end? Or cant you tell?

Torfhinn · 20/05/2015 16:59

Congratulations Birdbrain, I hope the next test is clearer for you... pics please!

Torfhinn · 20/05/2015 16:58

Sorry about the BFN Raeside, but, as you say, it is early so you are not out yet. Like you, I wasn't too worried about negative test as it stopped me obsessivly thinking about am I/aren't I all day long. When I was pregnant with my son I tested when I was about a day late as I thought I was out due to spotting, so have never been through the mad symptom spotting before last month Grin

That sounds great Hope! You must be covered with that much action!

Hope the symptoms are preggo ones Wax, the TWW is mad, isn't it?!

CD 9 and EWCM, so here starts the shagathon Wink

Raeside · 20/05/2015 13:28

Thanks all. I feel better having tested, weirdly. Cannot for life of me remember if I had any symptoms in the 2WW last time as I wasn't aware of it, I think I tested when af was a day or so late and my friend made me. I suppose your nipples are bound to tingle if you keep poking them enough to see if they tingle!
