Violet- wow that's dedication from your OH, nice that you're both as enthusiastic about this ttc milarky. I used the flashing smiley opks and they were really good, I tended to get flashing smiley for 2 days then solid smiley so hopefully Wednesday will be your day.

Brooke- yes I stress about this too but then I think, surely the female body can't be THAT badly designed and some of the sperm must stay in there, surely.

No symptoms today, feeling absolutely fine and normal- sigh.

Nicky, that sounds good, did you have no second line at all yesterday? Will be good to hear from you about what happens tomorrow.

The flashing smiley face indicates high fertility I'm now awaiting the static smiley face which indicates peak fertility, according to the instructions for most women that happens within 1-4 days of seeing the flashing smiley face. Think it must be quite soon though as if its going to be 4 or more days this will be my longest cycle yet!

I've done another test today and I think it's heading towards a positive ..
mine are cheap.ones and need two lines similar in colour...today I've got two lines one fainter than the other so maybe thinking tomorrow???

Morning all, well after been almost certain yesterday that I had already ov'd before starting the opk's, I got a flashing smiley face today! Meaning it's imminent. So unexpectedly dtd has meant OH has set off late for work! Oops!!

And this is after us having a conversation yesterday about the fact that he is away at a work conference this week and he said would it matter timing's wise if he didn't come back mid week (he doesn't usually when he's at this conference as its quite far away), so yesterday i agreed that was no problem as i was sure ov had come and gone. But now we know it hasn't, he's now agreed to drive all the way back home on wednesday!!

Brooke I looked that up as i did wonder about that, and what i was reading said it was likely its just the semen and not the sperm that's leaking out as a lot of its not needed to get the sperm where it needs to go.

Does anybody else stress that they seem to lose their husbands "deposit" straight away, even if they lie still afterwards?

I don't really drink much alcohol so not too much of a problem but I'll be trying to avoid it altogether in my tww just in case.

Wellthen- another wedding, congratulations! Exciting year for you then. We've been trying for 6 cycles now and although I used opks at first to work out my cycle I've stopped this month and we're just making sure we're dtd around the right time- no apps, opks or temp taking (have never done temp taking, seems complicated).

Think I will test if I'm late for a 28 day cycle, obviously unless i get a late positive opk. So Saturday 25th April, so 1 week and 5 days to go!!

I've cut out alcohol, dont really drink that much anyway, I only drink it when we visit my dad, as he likes to go to the pub when we visit him or have some wine at home. I've not visited him for a bit now!

I'm thinking of just going with the keeping track of my cycle and seeing what happens as this is first month of trying again and it's driving me insane ..not sure if the just do it and see what happens approach is a better way than stressing everyday when neg tests arrive x

Me and DH are just having regular sex, no opks, temperature taking or anything. I've got the Ovia app which tells me when my fertile window should be, but dh knows nothing about it as I feel it would put pressure on both of us.

We are getting married soon but, very similarly to someone up thread, our honeymoon would not be good to be pregnant on! I would love to try from now but it seems silly to risk being sick and tired on my honeymoon just for the sake of a few months.

I'm trying to be as Zen as possible and keep telling myself 'it'll probably take a year, a couple of months doesn't matter'

I'm not planning on using ovulation tests or anything (beyond keeping track of my cycle as I haven't had periods for a while) as I think it'll just send me crazy! Its so comforting to know that other people do stuff like plan the nursery and have to hold themselves back from buying baby clothes! I hope i'll feel calmer once we actually start. Anyone else going for just regular sex?

What's everyone doing in terms of alcohol? My app tells me I'm in my fertile period so we have been dtd every other day since Wednesday. I had a party last night and had LOADS to drink! And feel a bit rubbish about it today tbh, like it might have had a negative expect on the process this month. I never planned to cut out alcohol as this is only our first month trying and I'm aware it could take a while! But I had way too much last night tbh. Thinking of cutting down a bit, I only drink on the weekends but if I'm out it can end up being a lot!

Issie if mine's a 28 day cycle I could test on the 24th if 31 then the 27th. Thosewould be days af due. NNearly same time. Good luck x

Violet, I'm aiming to wait until a missed AF and then test but don't know if I'll hold out that long, I've tested early every month so far. I'll try and hold out as long as I can anyway! Missed AF would be 22/23 April, earliest I can test would be 17/18 Aprils. Eek!

Hi Wellthen. Why are you waiting until August to ttc, is it another wedding for this thread? We have a lot on here! I'm just taking folic and cutting down caffeine that's it.

Brooke, dizzy and crampy could be good signs, fingers crossed for you.
