Looking for a Mum-to-be to buddy up! I'm TTC number 1 and not had any luck so far, having a couple of months off before we start trying again. x

Morning Nicky, I'm feeling ok today, no symptoms to report Sad though also no early signs of AF so who knows. Not tested yet so I'm going well ??

How are you?

nickynackynoo31 · 16/04/2015 08:06

Hi ladies...how is everyone feeling today x

Issie339 · 15/04/2015 22:58

Big hugs Brooke, you'll get your bfp, it still could be this month but if not then another month. I really understand how you're feeling, it's the constant raising and then dashing of hopes that is so hard isn't it Flowers

Issie339 · 15/04/2015 22:54

Firsttimenewbie, how was the wedding?? Congratulations! Where are you off on honeymoon? I'm very jealous. Enjoy it, hopefully it will be your last child-free holiday for a long time Grin

firsttimenewbie · 15/04/2015 22:14

Wow this the was has been busy. Hope I haven't missed too much! Back from our wedding and holiday now. Off on honeymoon end of the week for three weeks then te TTC starts! Hope you are all still here when I get back (although with some bfps in the meantime!!)

nickynackynoo31 · 15/04/2015 21:27

Aw Brooke113 I can't imagine how your feeling hun...I'm on first cycle and im demented all ready....
always hear if you want a chat or a moan hun x

Brooke113 · 15/04/2015 18:02

Thanks sparkle I know that 2 cycles isn't long, but I keep thinking we haven't been particularly careful for the last year or so and nothings happened :(

nicky I think you have it covered, will keep my fingers crossed for your bfp very soon :)

nickynackynoo31 · 15/04/2015 17:53

welcome sparkle...looking forward to chatting.

Aw brooke don't rule anything out yet hun...fingers crossed for you still..

I tested this morning and still 2 lines but 2nd even lighter than last 2 days so think my ov day was Monday! !! so hopefully got it covered Smile Smile x

sparklesandfizz · 15/04/2015 16:52

No symptom spotting. Fortunately too busy until Easter holidays over with, once big ones back at school let the madness of over analysing every twinge and grump begin. It's crazy really I'd love to be more laissez faire but it ain't gonna happen. I suspect we're all the same - decide we want something and then desperately want it to happen immediately.
Brooke - you're not out until AF shows and 2nd month is still early days ( watch me be crazy at the end of the month)

VioletIbiza88 · 15/04/2015 16:46

I wouldn't count yourself out yet Brooke, from what I remember you wern't too sure about your ov date were you. I got a static smiley face on clear blue this morning, meaning that I should ov from 24-36 hours from this morning. Which makes it around CD 21/22. Going by my past periods I was expecting to ov anywhere between CD15 and 18. Had I not been using clear blues I would have completely missed ov this month, as I was so sure! You might not be as many DPO as you think! Good luck hun xx

Welcome Sparkle, look forward to hearing how you get on on the 29th! Good luck!

Issie339 · 15/04/2015 14:55

Thanks Brooke, baby dust for both of us. I'll keep you all updated

Brooke113 · 15/04/2015 14:39

Thanks Issie , it's my.own.fault , I shouldn't test until I'm.actually late Sad keeping everything crossed :)

Issie339 · 15/04/2015 14:31

Hi Brooke, not necessarily, apparently lots of people don't get a positive even after their missed period so it's definitely not a done deal yet. Definitely test again if your AF doesn't show up, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I am feeling really nervous about testing, it gets more and more difficult to see that BFN

Brooke113 · 15/04/2015 14:09

Issie - We've only been trying properly for 2 cycles , before that we were just seeing what happened .. I know that if I was pregnant they'd be a faint line surely, as it's 11 days past ovulation and it's a sensitive test Sad I wish I'd never done it as it's just upset me today

Issie339 · 15/04/2015 12:43

Hi Sparklesandfizz, any symptom spotting yet?

Issie339 · 15/04/2015 12:41

Oh no Brooke! Don't be upset hun. I'm exactly the same, it's so horrible seeing the BFN isn't it, even though you know it's still early and it certainly doesn't mean you're not pregnant. I'm 7 days past ovulation today so will be really tempted to test from tomorrow and also be really nervous every time I go to the loo in case there are early signs of AF Sad

How many months have you been trying, do you mind me asking? (sorry if you've already said). This will be my 6th cycle trying and it's really hard isn't it.

Brooke113 · 15/04/2015 10:24

Stupidly poas this morning , it was a 4 day before missed Af, of course it Was negative , thought it might have picked something up if I'm.11 days past ov, so I've completely upset myself now

I

sparklesandfizz · 15/04/2015 08:33

Hi there could I join? Am 34 and we have just decided to try for #4. We have dd 8, ds 6 and dd2 8 mths. Others were all conceived fairly easily but am still breastfeeding baby 4-5 times a day. Have had regular periods since 8 weeks post delivery but not convinced re ovulating. Gonna stay relaxed and see how we go, got this month covered. Plenty of dtd over the last week able to test 29th.
Good luck to everyone on here. Looking forward to chatting and whiling away the tww x

nickynackynoo31 · 14/04/2015 22:20

my ones were just cheap ones...I wouldn't recommend them. think I will try cb ones next time..

I'm hoping and praying that my ov was yesterday as oh is ill so doesn't look like we will be dtd tonight Sad Sad
hopefully last night was enough Smile Smile

VioletIbiza88 · 14/04/2015 19:28

Looking. You can look up the instructions online, an it wil tell you what day to start testing on from the number of days in your cycle. From that u should be able to work out roughly how many sticks you will need to use, based on ov happening about 14 days from end of cycle. You don't need to pee in a cup, you can put the stick in your urine stream. They are very clear to use, no having to interpret how dark lines are. X

Lookingforadvice123 · 14/04/2015 17:13

I think I'll order a pack of the clear blues, I take it you don't have to wee in a cup to use them though?! Expensive at £16 for 10, how many do you think you end up using per cycle? I'm so clueless with these!

Issie339 · 14/04/2015 15:57

Well luckily I am safely contained at work at the moment Violet so out of reach of the HPTs (not doing any actual work, just messing about on mumsnet, obviously Grin). Fingers crossed for a solid smiley for you tomorrow hun.

Lookingforadvice, I've only used the clear blue ones but they were good and pretty easy to use.

Lookingforadvice123 · 14/04/2015 15:20

Those of you using OPKs, what's the best ones to use? I don't really like the idea of having to wee in a cup and dip strips in...sounds time consuming! Are the clear blue ones any good? Only in cycle 1 so not using them yet but may use for second or third cycleb

VioletIbiza88 · 14/04/2015 14:50

another flashing smiley today for me, hopefully tomorrows going to be the day.

Issie dont do it, you can hold out!! There not calling you, they're just teasing you lol!!:-)

Nicky sounds like it was yesterday, good luck!

Brooke, hope the stomach cramps are nothing an af stays away,, good luck x

Issie339 · 14/04/2015 14:33

Brooke- I'm really not feeling hopeful either hun, no symptoms really and just not feeling pregnant vibes Sad still really hoping though, fingers crossed for both of us
