Sorry to hear that Brooke I'm pretty sure I'll be joining you for next month as I'm not feeling at all pregnant and am 5/6 days before AF now.

And yes yes yes! I think that all the time, if you're doing it at the right time and there are sperm there when you ovulate why don't you get pregnant? Surely it should be a 100% thing if you plan it all out. No idea Brooke, it mystifies me too.

Does anybody else ever think, why pregnancy doesn't occur, when there's so many sperms in each "deposit" and you know exactly when you're ovulating, so why doesn't it happen?

Definitely not my month, did a first response earlier and it was negative, 3 days before AF is due, so onwards and upwards, here's to next month for me :)

Thanks everyone. There are 2 HPTs in the pack so I could do one on Saturday/Sunday and then if negative try again on the 24th (the day after my AF due)...but I don't know if I can bare to see that BFN! I might stay in hopeful ignorance for another few days. I'll keep you posted anyway.

Still keeping my fingers crossed for you Brooke. If it's not our month this month we can both plough on to next month together with even more hand-holding and obsessing lols.

Sparklesandfizz- maybe try OPKs to put your mind at rest about the ovulating, at least then you'll know one way or the other and can plan around it. Plus you are definitely mad to be ttc with an 8 month old!!

Nicky- could be a bug but fingers crossed for a baby instead. That's the worst thing about this symptom spotting, it's so bloomin' ambiguous!!

I feel shocking again headache and feeling sick....I'm now thinking is it a bug?? would you get symptoms so soon if I was pregnant?? Monday was ov day I think? x

Have heard first response are fab - don't think I'd be able to wait!

My main concern is that I'm not actually ovulating, 8mth old still breastfeeds quite regularly which can really mess things up. Have had v regular periods for months now but that is no guarantee of fertility returning.

We started to try after a hasty conversation earlier this month and part of me is thinking I must be mad however we always knew another was part of the plan and I feel ready (plus DH will do anything for dtd) so here I am in the tww whiling away the time on mumsnet.

Ooh Issie keeping everything crossed for you. I'm CD25 today, and have all my Af symptoms and from the negative test when I tested, I'm.counting myself out this month and willing Af to hurry up now!

I think I'm the first to test, AF due 22/23 so can test any time now really- eek! Reading the pack of HPTs I have at home it says '78% of women who end up to be pregnant get a positive when using this test 5 days before their missed AF' which is a pretty good accuracy this far out. Might test tomorrow morning or Sunday

Nicky I think I'll be last to test. Next AF/BFP not due until 4th May!

I've done opks for first time and it's annoyed the hell out of me lol..
I have felt horrific today...awful taste when woke up and headache on and off most of day. I've also felt sickly today...I'm trying my best not to think too much into it but I'm starting to wonder

my AF is due 24th and that's if it's on 28 day cycle but it's first cycle since coil removal so I'm not sure if it's right. I think come this time next week I will be thinking of doing a test.

This is our first month trying for baby 4.
Have never opk'do or temped but all seems very confusing and stressful. Hats off to all who do.
I tend to be regular and lmp started 28th March
Dtd tues 7th x2, 8th,9th,10th and 13th so hopefully given us a good chance.
Using my simple maths I should have Ov'd 10th which would make today day 6 of tww.
Plan on testing 26th if no AF however my resolve may crumble before then.....
When is everyone else looking at testing?

Violet I use First Response HPT which you can use from 6 days before your missed AF. I've heard Superdrug own brand are good and very sensitive too but have never tried them myself

Just went and had a look at that website Violet, it's saying 23rd April for me but I definitely won't last until then!

I was googling the two week wait, as you do... (I know its my day off, so i'm googling conception related stuff again!!!) and I found a "pregnancy test calculator" dont know if any of you have used one of these. You put in your first day of LMP, day of ovulation and average luteal phase (which I left as standard 14 days as I don't have a clue) and it tells you which is the optimum day for taking a pregnancy test. The website is conceiveeasy if you want to try it.

My day is Wednesday 29th April!

Also had a look on amazon at tests, any recommendations?

tested again today and it was back to one line so j think ov was Def on Monday so fingers crossed x

Hi Brooke, been ttc since end Nov, this will be my 6th cycle (although not sure if first 3 cycles count as we were using lube with spermicide in by accident ) Due AF 22nd. I don't have any symptoms either hun but still feeling hopeful, you never know

First time, congrats and have a wonderful honeymoon!

After getting the static smiley on wednesday morning I felt nauseous all day and didn't want to eat, and still feel the same today, so i'm pretty sure that was ov. So I'm trying to work out when I start counting DPO days from, i.e. is today DPO1 as I got the static smiley face yesterday or was the static smiley saying that was the hormone surge so ov could be 24-36 hours later,making Friday DPO1. I know its only a matter of a day or at the most two but I don't want to be counting wrong lol!

I'm feeling bleugh, all symptoms I did have are well and truly gone, so I'm not holding out any hope this month.
