Sarah I don't always trust those apps, I do have one just to keep track of my cycles, mine said I wasn't going to ov until the end of this week according to my cycle length, yet I got a positive opk this morning. It was also our by 4 days last cycle. Try watching out for Ewcm.

Violet did you do another opk? Yes you do need to hold pee for 4 hours before doing it, which I find impossible to do during the day!

Ok...i've just downloaded an app and its a period and ovulation tracker which asked me for my cycle length. I'm not sure of this as my last period i had was my first real one so the one before was a 'pill bleed' but i just used that...38 days (and that would be about right for what my period was like before i was on the pill).

Anyway...this app has said ovulation is today! I don't know if it's right or not but considering we DTD this morning i'm a bit like OMG.

I would actually be shocked if i got pregnant this quick haha but at the same time seeing that has made me get my hopes up

I started the opks today (blank circle) due to ovulate Saturday. Had coffee Saturday and Sunday but back on the decaf today- I was on holiday after all!!

Yeah that's a good point about dtd tonight. I wouldn't normally justify the expense but might make an exception just this once. Should I not pee for a few hours first, I've only ever used opks with fmu?? Is it 4 hrs an don't drink that much??

You could test again this evening, some women test morning, afternoon and night lol. I couldn't justify the expense lol. If you've been.getting flashing smileys for the last couple of days, tomorrow has got to be the day. Probably would be better to.start the dtd marathon tonight, as if tomorrow is ov day for you, there would be today's "product" up there ready for the egg release.

I got another flashing smiley face :-( I'm thinking though is it worth testing again this afternoon or evening do you think. I'm pretty sure ov is imminent due to ewcm?? If today's ov day but its later on is rather know today, as smep will work out better with my shifts if I can start my dtd a thon today. Or should I just wait? I have no cheapy opks just clearblues....

Violet I'm using the normal ones, not dual hormone, so I just get the smiley face and dtd for the next 2/3 days. Just used a cheapy opk and it was negative :( the line wasn't as dark as the control line :( keeping everything crossed for tomorrow or Tuesday, poor dh, we've dtd cd8,10,12 and 14, I pounced on him this morning he couldn't resist me lol

violet we are going to see fast and furious too! Haha yeah we had friends round the other week, DPs friend opened the cupboard and was like 'folic acid?'...his GF quickly told him to stop being nosey and changed the subject!

I've been told to empty the bathroom bin (opk wrappers) and the folic acid is in the cupboard lol. DP's friend is a doc so wouldnt take much for him to twig!

Brooke are you using the dual hormone one or the normal clearblue one? If the normal one we still could both be at the same stage an get static smileys tomorrow. It says in the instructions the lines don't mean anything, but I think they probably do really. We shall have to wait an see tomorrow x

Violet I know you said not to look at the blue lines when you remove the test from the monitor, but today, they were both almost the same shade? So maybe tomorrow or Tuesday is the day?? Or am I getting my hopes up for nothing? You should get the static smiley tomorrow or Tuesday too shouldn't you? :) not much for bh plans, taking the dc to the cinema this morning, is yucky weather here. :(

Yeah sparkles he goes away for about 3 weeks at a time, he'll be home for 4 days this time then away for 3 weeks again! So he could either be home at exactly the right time or not! However he's only planning on doing this job for 6 months or so to save up and then get on a better contract which would probs be 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off. He could get a flight back if it was an emergency but thats about it!

sarah a few weeks??? This could really irk at the wrong time of the month.
Does he have to travel a lot?
Importantly is he able to get home if he needs to?

Baby sparkles behaved impeccably for Mr S! I had a whole seven hours away with dd1 which was lovely. Baby, ds & Mr S seem to have coped really well! (I'll do the clear up tomorrow!)

Does anyone know the deal with prolactin and ttc? Baby sparkles is a total milk monster and at 8 mths am definitely reluctant to wean her BF if she wants it. Down to approx 4 feeds in 24 hours but heard prolactin prevents ov possibly?? Might hop over to the breastfeeding threads and see if anyone can enlighten me.

Thanks sparkles. I'm not really sure where i am as i've never tracked anything before! I've come off the pill and had my first 'real' period which finished on 14th april so i'm trying to go by what my periods used to be like before (which was 9 years ago!). I think my period would probably be due sometime after 14th may but really it's all a guessing game for me at the moment as i've read quite a lot that after coming off the pill it can take a while for ur body to adjust!
