Looking for a Mum-to-be to buddy up! I'm TTC number 1 and not had any luck so far, having a couple of months off before we start trying again. x

brooke your hcg went up which is fab. They'd only expect to see an empty sac at this stage and if that was in your uterus then ectopic unlikely. Sorry you are still having cramps but fx things could still be ok.
sarah must be soooooo frustrating ttc when hubby not home regularly.
violet&issie come on smepers get on the job, I expect to see you both on the feb thread later in the month Grin

Issie339 · 27/05/2015 08:11

I've just started the new thread, it's in talk/conception and is called 'who wants to buddy up...thread 2'.

sarah that sounds as though it could work out this month, it must be so difficult to line it all up with OH being away so much

sarah1391 · 26/05/2015 23:57

brooke fx everything turns out to be ok

sarah1391 · 26/05/2015 23:54

issie not 100% sure when he will be home or when i ovulate. He will possibly be home 12th-15th and my app says i'll ovulate 22nd. However if hes away an extra week he'll be home 19th-22nd. I dont think my cycle will be as long (AF is pretty much gone already...weird) so i might ovulate somewhere during the week of the 15th!

violet i've told one close friend (who i also work with) and another close friend who is pregnant. Glad you have someone in RL to speak to

VioletIbiza88 · 26/05/2015 23:25

Yes she does, first piece of advice was "don't stress it will happen" closely followed by "I know its hard not to though!" So she does understand. I can't think of any better way of starting our lucky thread issie.

Issie339 · 26/05/2015 22:36

violet that's good, so she totally understands the ttc journey then, glad you'll have someone to talk to in RL.

Shall I start the new thread? Don't know how to link or anything but if I call it 'who wants to buddy up...thread 2' and put it in the ttc section we can all find it and join. Unless someone knows I more high tech way to do it??

VioletIbiza88 · 26/05/2015 21:34

issie she has two boys, 5 yrs an 2 months.

newbie hope its nothing an you can get on with enjoying being pregnant soon. Has the bleeding stopped now?

Brooke keeping my fingers crossed for you. Sorry you have to be left in limbo for so long!

Whose making this new thread then???

Brooke113 · 26/05/2015 21:11

Sorry I haven't been around much, I find the less I come on mn the less I Google things that could be wrong...I don't want to lose touch with you girls, I'll still be lurking don't worry, take care everyone xxx

Issie339 · 26/05/2015 21:00

newbie what did they say at the hospital hun? I know bleeding in early pregnancy is quite common but you still must be really worried. Hope you're resting.

brooke I imagine it's going to be a long 2 weeks for you Sad really hoping it's good news for you after the next scan and you can start enjoying your pregnancy.

Brooke113 · 26/05/2015 20:43

Violet they scanned me on Sunday when I was 4w5d from lmp and all she said was that she could see a group of cells? To me it was a tiny empty circle? And then said that an ectopic pregnancy can't be ruled out because she couldn't see alot :( so I've got to go back in 2 weeks. Cramps have not got any better either :(

firsttimenewbie · 26/05/2015 20:17

OOOh keeping fx you join us on feb thread violet and Issie

It has sort of sunk in but still doesn't quite seem real. Also doesn't feel like I can celebrate yet. Have had some bleeding, which I think is ok but was at hosp for it today and back tomorrow.:-(

Issie339 · 26/05/2015 19:51

That's good that you told your friend violet, does she have kids herself? I told my mum and sister last year that we were going to start trying after Xmas but they don't really ask about it, I think they're trying to be tactful.

VioletIbiza88 · 26/05/2015 19:14

Brooke thats great news that your hcg is going up. It's going in the right direction. Yes of course things could go wrong but right now you are pregnant, keep focused on that. Why is it that they can't rule out an ectopic yet, have they seen an intra-utrine pregnancy on the scan, how many weeks are you now hun?

Issie Sarah thanks, starting to feel better now the trying has begun again. Going to keep positive and focus on this month. Even told a real life friend today that we are trying. She's the first person I ve told in real life and so its a bit more real now. Figured that even if it takes a long time, I don't mind her knowing, and someone else to talk to about things can only help. Have you all told anyone in RL? Brooke does hubby know yet?

Issie339 · 26/05/2015 18:36

Sorry to hear you're feeling rubbish violet Sad it's such an emotional rollercoaster ttc. If you're cd8 then this time next week you could be pregnant, just keep focused on that.

That sounds tough sarah how frustrating for you. Do you think your OH will be home for ovulation this month?

brooke so glad to hear your hcg has gone up, that's got to be a good sign. Keeping fx for you, make sure you get loads of rest.

Think I'm due to ovulate 8th June.

Brooke113 · 26/05/2015 15:51

Sorry I've been awol...hcg had gone up, but they can't rule out an ectopic pregnancy yet :( and I could still Mc, the cramps are still there :( got to go back in 2 weeks for another scan x

sarah1391 · 26/05/2015 14:01

Omg someone needs to make a new thread, i dont know how Blush

sarah1391 · 26/05/2015 14:00

Unfortunately not violet, we might get lucky when he's home, i've bought some cheap OPKs to check i'm ovulating when my app says. He is thinking about looking for a new job which would be 2-3 weeks away then 2-3 weeks at home so would work out much better!

Fx for you! Try not to dwell on it too much, all of us will get our BFPs, its just a matter of when :)

VioletIbiza88 · 26/05/2015 11:17

Brooke have you got any news yet, hope your ok

Sarah are you able to work out when your likely to be ovulating and book a week away (or at home) with your DP.

Been feeling a bit rubbish about last months failed attempt, particularly as i'm sure I felt implantation Sad but today is CD7 and going to start smep again tonight (should be starting on CD8 but 7 works out better for us and I'm sure it doesn't really matter at this early stage!) So onwards and upwards with cycle 3. Hope its 3rd time lucky.

sarah1391 · 25/05/2015 18:28

Fx for you both issie and violet. issie a new job sounds like a great idea! I havent done the EDD thing but i wont be in the feb one. Long cycles are great for not having periods often but terrible for ttc (especially with DP working away weeks at a time...). I'm not due to ovulate until around 22nd june

VioletIbiza88 · 25/05/2015 16:22

Fingers crossed for us both then Issie I hope it happens! Would be lovely to all stay together Smile

Issie339 · 25/05/2015 15:50

Hi violet Yeh we'd be fine without the mat pay. I got a new job after having DD on about half the pay I was on before so I could do part time but now I'm bored to tears and ready for something a bit more full on. Luckily the title and everything are aligned with what I was before so It shouldn't be too hard to find something again. Think I'll start looking around and see how it goes, no rush.

Hmm yeh might try SMEP again this month although I didn't stick to it exactly last month.

Just done EDD too and mine would be 29th Feb so if we're lucky this month I can join the thread too Grin

VioletIbiza88 · 25/05/2015 14:48

Hiya Issie wondered where you had gone. I take it AF has turned up then. New job will be good, will you manage though if you do get pregnant next month without maternity pay? Are you smep'ing again next month

Brooke hope your Hcg (is that right?) has gone up enough today. Thinking of you

Newbie have you come out of the state of shock yet!

Sparkles hope baby sparkles is less snotty soon, bless her! In other news I've already looked up my edd if I get good news this time, 24th of Feb, so if that happens I can join your thread. Would be so nice to go through all this with people I've met at this early stage. So got my fingers crossed while trying not to get my hopes up!!

Issie339 · 25/05/2015 12:39

sparkles do I remember you saying you were going back to work soon? How are you feeling about it?

Issie339 · 25/05/2015 12:37

Hi everyone, been having a bit of a break from it all over the weekend, looks like I have some catching up to do.

Congrats newbie! Honeymoon baby, very romantic.

How did everything go yesterday brooke? Thinking of you hun.

I've been having a think over the weekend, I feel like this ttc malarkey is taking over my life! First change is I'm going to start looking around for another job, I've only stayed in my current job for the past 6 months because I keep thinking 'I can't move jobs because I might be pregnant next month'. I'm sure if I find the dream job Sod's law is I'll get pregnant immediately Wink

sarah1391 · 24/05/2015 22:52

sparkles AF has been a bit heavier during the day although still not what i expected so putting it down to post pill madness! Think i'll be waiting a while for my BFP with my long cycles and DP working away a lot.

Awww hope baby sparkles feels better soon. Has it sunk in yet that you'll have a tiny sparkles too? :)
