Last month I drove myself nuts with symptom spotting and early poas. I had every sign and symptom going and was convinced I was pregnant. Luckily I kept a list of all my many symptoms on a calendar so this time if necessary I can remind myself that pms has all the same same features as early pregnancy.
I'm determined not to test until 23rd, as I think I should come on then if I'm going to, must stay strong!! Anyone want company in ignoring the whole thing?!

I've had positives after negatives, yes. In three of my pregnancies I didn't get a result until 15-20 dpo. Starting levels of hcg can be a factor, also when implantation happens. If it was a little later the test would not show positive till later. Hope this makes sense.

Brain a little addled by no-show af.

As of today I am officially late, based on the last 3 cycles. Still been having af cramps so either my cycles are returning to a normal length or I could be getting a bfp soon.

Can't even test cus I stayed at my parents last night for my mum's birthday. It's gonna be a loooong day.

Still keep checking for af every half hour!

Lilymog · 29/04/2015 06:34

Sorry typo error. I got a BFN not P, if I had I would be climbing the walls with happiness and running round the streets! Still no sign of AF though, but technically not due yet either, hence wondered if any one had had a positive after a negative xx

doomkittycleo · 28/04/2015 20:39

I tested Sunday morning, bfn but had af cramps since Sunday pm still no af yet.

Temperamental my cycles have only been 25 days last 3 cycles so I know they were short, pre pill they were clockwork 28 days.

Since I've been using opk's I've had 10 day leutal phase. But depending on when she arrives that might change this cycle.

I'm anxiously going to the loo every half hour checking if she's arrived Blush but praying she never does. Pretty sure she'll be here any time tho.

fuzzywuzzy · 28/04/2015 14:47

Monkey I use an app also (Ovia), but it tends to change according to what my monitor says. So this month it's totally skewed in comparison to last month. Altho this month I am taking starflower oil as soreness before ov was becoming unbearable.

Sounds sensible to get checked with doc just incase I think they do bloods to check if your ovulating. I don't know too much about it tho I'm afraid.

Monkeysocks38 · 28/04/2015 13:57

Hi fuzzy, normally I get the two smiley peak days and the temp rise on the third day which I guess means I ovulate around 48 hours after the first peak reading. This month fertility friend had me ovulating on day 13 (as expected from the monitor) but when I took the monitor readings out it changed it to day 15 which was the temp rise day. Now I don't know if fertility friend was just saying day 13 because of the monitor info. Having had a drop in temp 2 days ago I thought I was out but then I had one day of dark brown spotting and today the temp is back up. I thought it could be an implantation drop and bleeding but the spotting has just started again so I think this is actually probably the start of AF.

I'm considering seeing my GP as my DH needs to start taking medication which we're holding off on while we ttc. If it's just not going to happen for us I'd rather know now so he can get on with taking his meds. I'll be devastated but I'd still rather know one way or the other.

temperamentalamongcorvids · 28/04/2015 13:25

doom how are you doing? I get cramps for a week before af sometimes, it doesn't necessarily mean your cycles are shortening.

I'm due af today, didn't poas this morning as I had a bit of spotting yesterday so pretty sure she's coming.

fuzzywuzzy · 28/04/2015 13:04

Monkey doesn't the fertility monitor measure that you've had the hormone surge indicating that you will ovulate within the next 24-46 hours? Mine just shows smiley face for two days and high for the third so basically indicating a good chance of conceiving on the two smiley face days and the third day after just for good measure.

According to the obsessive reading I have done OPK's used in conjunction with temping and checking CM is the best indicator of whether you've ov'ed.

Frankly after all the reading I find it amazing anyone manages to accidentally fall pregnant!

fuzzywuzzy · 28/04/2015 12:50

BFN can turn into BFP as the tests measure the HCG hormone in your urine which tends to double every two days after implantation, I think most tests don't pick up the hormone till it is at least 25IU.

So congratulations LilySmile

Doom have you tested yet?

I am starting right from the beginning again and this month just for variety I keep getting a high reading on my clearblue fertility monitor but no surge yet, so three days of a high reading but no smiley face arrrgghhhh

Lilymog · 28/04/2015 06:38

Hi all, been watching the thread from the start, but lurking. Had a mc at Christmas and three cycles since, all BFN! This month felt different, but I have just poas and again bfp! My question is could this be because I have tested too early? I had my smiley face on the opk last Sunday and calculating that AF not due then till this Sunday. Has anyone had a bfn which turned into a bfp?

doomkittycleo · 27/04/2015 21:56

Af hasn't arrived yet but been having cramps since Sunday mornin.

temperamentalamongcorvids · 27/04/2015 07:09

doom you could look into agnus castus, I seem to remember it can help with lengthening the luteal phase.

hi monkey, that does sound frustrating.

Nothing yet here though I'm expecting af tomorrow.

Hi all. I'm having a seriously weird cycle. According to my fertility monitor I should have ovulated on day 13 but my temperature didn't rise until day 15. Now it's day 21, so either 6 or 8 dpo, and my temperature has already taken a nosedive. I knew this was going to be a bad month! Just want AF to arrive now so I can put this month behind me and start again.

Blackandwhitecat3 · 26/04/2015 16:40

Just ghosting, but doom I saw your post. Acupuncture may help - it can lengthen your cycle.

doomkittycleo · 26/04/2015 09:08

I've started with af type cramps, but only due on Tuesday and that's assuming it's another 25 day cycle. If I come on any earlier I'll be well annoyed. How will I ever get pregnant if my cycles get shorter than 25 days :-(

bubblegeek22 · 25/04/2015 12:10

Hi ladies, hope I can join in :)

I am 4dpo and it already feels like it's been forever! This is my first cycle ttc and I'm very nervous/excited!
I had the implant originally but had that taken out over a year ago, to give my body lots and lots of time to get back to normal.
I have beautiful 28 day cycles so I'm just hoping I will be late this month! Not poas til then though!

temperamentalamongcorvids · 25/04/2015 10:00

Same here, doom af due Tuesday but will try to hold off testing till she's actually late.

OP posts:
doomkittycleo · 25/04/2015 07:51

My af is due Tuesday based on my post pill 25-26 day cycles. Weird cus I'll only be 11 dpo when she's due. Don't want to test unless I end up late.

Need to keep busy this weekend

temperamentalamongcorvids · 24/04/2015 20:11

So sorry, view. I can imagine it must be very hard after af being late. I'd just count today as day one and yesterday as day 35 or whatever.

I suspect I'm out too, crampy and absent minded, typical af symptoms for me. Tiny bit of blood at cervix when I checked.

FortySixandTwo · 24/04/2015 18:52

Ah that's a shame I hope with the waistline it works out for you :)

Im just swishing round the house in an internet cheap dress I bought wondering if I'm brave enough to try hemming it a bit :)

doomkittycleo · 24/04/2015 18:41

Probably not cus it's a bit of a lose fit. She did say we can adjust them to give it a waistline so will have to ask her to show me how to do that

FortySixandTwo · 24/04/2015 16:15

I'm out too as expected hoping that now AF is here the soreness in my boobs will go.

Doom will it be something you'd wear or is it not your style ?

Good luck to everyone still in their two week wait hoping for plenty of BFPs from you all

mrschatty · 24/04/2015 09:20

Hi everyone I'm jumping in!!! Ttc #1 now on m19 currently cd 19 of 29 and I know it's early but u SWEAR I will not be symptom spotting...give me strength ladies x

Viewofhedges · 24/04/2015 09:05

I'm out. AF arrived in horrid crampy style at 5am. Over 2.5 years of trying - I was so hopeful! And it really felt like it was happening.

How do people count days when AF arrives unusually late?

Meh. Now I have to face the reality of ivf. Really didn't want to go there, but I'm 38 and the doctor says its our only hope. Wish we could have proved her wrong.

Good luck to everyone else.

Cherrybellyboo · 24/04/2015 07:52

Can I join?
I'm not 100% sure when to test as I'm still bf'ing my 10 month old and haven't had a period yet, I'm going to test Tuesday. :)

In the past doom I've found in the past planning nice distractions helps, but it can be a really hard time.
