anyone else in the 2ww but absolutely not symptom spotting this time?

Last month I drove myself nuts with symptom spotting and early poas. I had every sign and symptom going and was convinced I was pregnant. Luckily I kept a list of all my many symptoms on a calendar so this time if necessary I can remind myself that pms has all the same same features as early pregnancy.
I'm determined not to test until 23rd, as I think I should come on then if I'm going to, must stay strong!! Anyone want company in ignoring the whole thing?!

2DPO. Feel a bit sick. Defo prego Wink

Woolly84 · 18/03/2015 08:47

Welcometammi! Smile yes we have all been through the same thing so can help each other to stay sane this month!!
lily and becki I am also a small 31 (turned 31 today actually!).
lily just think you don't want to see another BFN by testing too early, we can help distract you here! Grin

temperamentalamongcorvids · 18/03/2015 08:45

Welcome tammi, seems you're in the right place. Smile

becki you could buy your tests online to save your blushes Wink and probably some money too.

9dpo. How time drags.

Welcome tammi! And becki, I'm similarly 31-but-look-younger but being a paranoid type have bought so many tests over the years I've forgotten how to feel embarrassed Grin

Have to admit to caving a bit and testing with a leftover OPK as I've read they can also detect pregnancy. BFN of course and I feel like a right muppet.

Determined to hold off now until the weekend when AF is due but it's super hard to distract myself! Anyone got any tips?! Smile

Tammisaurus · 18/03/2015 07:10

Hi ladies, I hope you don't mind me joining in. Currently 8dpo. Last tww was awful, I was banging out symptoms like there was no tomorrow but AF arrived right on time. So I swore to myself I will just ignore this tww and the symptom spotting because I want to feel sane for once! I was driving myself round the twist with it all.
I'm glad we are all in the same boat here!

beckiepea83 · 18/03/2015 05:13

Fuzzy, I have not started charting yet and we are just going with the flow so to speak. Don't know how long that will last mind you! I'm sure I can already feel AF on its way. Looks like I may get an early visit!

Well done lily on walking past those tests. You are a stronger woman than I. Saying that I hate buying them. I feel like I am being judged. I am 31 but am small so most people think I am younger. Wanna explain I'm almost 32 and in a long term relationship!!!! I have four tests still but after they have gone think I'll send OH to get some. Though they should last as I will NOT be testing early.... maybe!

Amara123 · 17/03/2015 21:04

Yes Sleepybunny! Friday testing if AF doesnt turn up, the old rascal! Meet you back here later in the week. Smile

fuzzywuzzy · 17/03/2015 20:06

Bugger congratulations Smile, pretty sure the cheapies are reliable.

I buy mine from the pound shop.

I have the worse cramps today feel sick from them. This will be our second cycle too I've not been using OPK's, just charting via my cycle which obviously decides to play up when normally I'm pretty much steady on a regular 25 day cycle.

Woolly84 · 17/03/2015 19:40

bugger congrats! That's awesome news! Smile and so refreshing to hear that the relaxed approach worked for you. I'm sure the clearblue will confirm your BFP Smile

temperamentalamongcorvids · 17/03/2015 18:06

Bugger congratulations! (that was weird to type) I think you can safely assume you're pregnant, especially after 4 tests in a day!!! I don't think there's any material difference between the different kinds, just packaging and price. Nice to hear of the relaxed approach working.

Hi temperamental and beckie - glad to know I'm not the only one going crazy so early into trying, or the only one having to hide tests Smile I actually walked past the test aisle in Superdrug earlier and felt quite proud of myself...

Aah, I hope congrats are in order buggerlumps!!

beckiepea83 · 17/03/2015 15:34

Oh my gosh I love this thread and think I will fit in well here! TTC first time like you lilyb83, also my second cycle.

Last month I'm drove myself crazy symptom spotting and I am really REALLY trying not to do it this time. It only leads to disappointment and testing early last month and seeing that BFN just lead to me feeling 'blah'. So not this month. Sorry to hear about your MC's gakay! The trial you are doing sounds quit good. Hope the witch doesn't show up for you. AF is due Sunday to visit me!

Oooh good luck buggerlumpsannoyed and congrats on the BFP!!!!

BuggerLumpsAnnoyed · 17/03/2015 15:26

I went a bit insane the first couple months (been ttc since Jan) testing and spotting. Took it easy this month (was so relaxed only remembered to dtd twice) have had 4 bfp's today. On cheapir internet ones. Havent braved a clear blue yet! Wish me luck!

gakay · 17/03/2015 15:15

Thank you ladies.
I think the trial is called conceive. I got lots of free OPKs and pg tests and then if I manage to conceive successfully I get a few free scans on top of normal NHS ones. Thought it's quite a great deal!
Just noticed a bit of pink. Hope it's not sign of AF coming - the witch did make her appearance really early last cycle at CD25.
temperamental I've also promised oh that I won't get too obsessed this time but it's easier said than done.

Sleepybunny · 17/03/2015 15:14

Amara are we Friday testing buddies!? Yippee!
I have no tests in the house, also have no self control

temperamentalamongcorvids · 17/03/2015 14:20

lily hello. I've hidden my tests somewhere inaccessible so I have plenty of time to repent if I go looking for them. Can't ask DP to do it as he'd know I was obsessing and we've agreed to take a relaxed approach!

Woolly84 · 17/03/2015 10:59

Hi lily and gakay! Smile
lily good idea getting DH to hide the tests!
gakay oh that must be rubbish having to test everyday, just remember it's not common to get early BFPs and try and stay positive- easier said than done I know!!

lilyb84 · 17/03/2015 10:44

This is my new username btw (formerly bbw84)!

temperamentalamongcorvids · 17/03/2015 10:22

hello gakay that sounds rubbish, what's the trial? Ttc is so loaded after mc, you have my sympathy.

OP posts:
lilyb84 · 17/03/2015 09:51

gakay So sorry to hear about your 2 MC, and how stressful to have to go through that during your TWW :(

Fingers crossed for you x

gakay · 17/03/2015 09:47

I hope you won't kick me out...
Am CD24. Last month was a 25 days cycle and the 2 b4 were 28 days. TTC no 1 but have had 2 MC end of last year.
Am on a trial which means I have to poas everyday from CD16! It's horrible to see all the "not pregnant" every morning. I'm trying to stay hopeful and tell myself it's still too early but at the same time telling myself it's not happening to avoid disappointment. Hate tww!

bbw84 · 17/03/2015 09:32

Count me in! First time TTC and only in 2nd cycle - still getting used to having periods again after many years without so can't tell yet what means my AF's on the way and what might mean something else!!

Have made my DH hide all my tests until after AF is due as I have literally zero self control.

Good luck to all of you!! x

ps sorry for rubbish username, I know they recommend not using random letters but I drew a total blank when trying to pick something. Will change it asap!

temperamentalamongcorvids · 16/03/2015 21:53

scarlet 3 days late is a valid time to test!

OP posts:
Woolly84 · 16/03/2015 20:53

Hi Scarlet I'd do a test pronto - good luck! :-) hope you feel better soon either way!

Scarlet2015 · 16/03/2015 20:48

I'm three days late... Feel a bit sick but could be a bug. Threw up 20 times on Sunday after drinking red wine. Not usually late????
