Last month I drove myself nuts with symptom spotting and early poas. I had every sign and symptom going and was convinced I was pregnant. Luckily I kept a list of all my many symptoms on a calendar so this time if necessary I can remind myself that pms has all the same same features as early pregnancy.
I'm determined not to test until 23rd, as I think I should come on then if I'm going to, must stay strong!! Anyone want company in ignoring the whole thing?!

Hi please can I join? 3rd cycle TTC, 2 dpo. I also do multiple pos'ing and symptom spotting Grin

fuzzywuzzy · 19/03/2015 09:10

good luck for the next cycle lily.

Think I've caught the office bug, so that's keeping me occupied!

Realistically, how early would symptoms appear DPO?

I was thinking back to when I had my girls and the first sign for me was bleeding gums, really badly bleeding gums when brushing my teeth (obviously haven't been watching intently for just this....).

lilyb84 · 19/03/2015 09:00

A very good point jessica Smile

Well done on the self control and good luck with the long day! I'm sure it'll keep you more than busy enough to distract you Grin

Jessica2point0 · 19/03/2015 08:28

That's rubbish lily. Also, when you get your bfp next cycle, that'll mean you will have a Christmas baby.

I'm feeling quite proud of myself! I really nearly tested this morning (7dpo) but I held off. Got a 12 hour day today (parents evening) so hopefully that will keep by mind off symptom spotting.

lilyb84 · 19/03/2015 08:00

Well I'm out - AF arrived this morning. A bit disappointed but not massively since it's still early days. Plus every month it doesn't happen means extra savings so I can actually afford it when it does!

Good luck to the rest of you Smile

temperamentalamongcorvids · 19/03/2015 07:01

And hi Jessica!

Am also holding out till the 23rd at the earliest.

gakay sorry to hear that, and about your mcs. It makes it all so much harder. Good for you for staying positive and keeping your resolve!

I'm at work today and tomorrow, which keeps me from obsessing. I hate my job though - it's another reason I really want to get knocked up soon! The pregnancy I lost in December would have meant that I could leave by June, and it's hard not to think of it.

gakay fingers crossed for the next cycle.

I'm triyng to look at each af as one nearer my bfp, altho I managed to convince myself I had every symptom going last month.

Willing myself to think of anything but.

Good luck everyone and have a fabulous trip to Portugal Woolly, rather jealous, hope the weather is beautiful for you and it's a wodnerful break.

gakay · 18/03/2015 19:39

Happy birthday woolly! Have fun in Portugal.
CD25 and 2nd day of pink. Think it's probably too long to be implantation bleed now and have started to feel the heaviness in my tummy - guess AF is really coming Sad this is cycle #5 since we started - conceived straight away in cycles #1&2 though mc'd. Guess even though each AF visit is so disappointing it's still better than another mc...

Jessica2point0 · 18/03/2015 19:25

Can I join please? Every month I find a new 'symptom' and decide this is the one way to tell! Not this month tho. I'm not testing until 23rd.

temperamentalamongcorvids · 18/03/2015 17:20

welcome aboad afloat

And happy birthday, woolly! Have a great holiday and do not learn the Portuguese for "1 pack of pregnancy tests Please" Wink

Welcome afloat! Sounds like you'll be right at home with the rest of us Smile

afloat · 18/03/2015 16:34

I signed in to make my first post on Mumsnet to say: Yes! I'm in too. I had the Implanon out about three weeks ago. A week ago I had "for sure" symptoms, nausea, metallic taste, off coffee.... PedOAS a couple of times... Drove my partner crazy...... AF arrived 4 days ago. I will try my best to wait until April 12th to POAS again.

Proudmummy2456 · 18/03/2015 15:37

Thanks Smile

Oysterbabe · 18/03/2015 15:30

Everyone is different I think. 24-48 hours?

Proudmummy2456 · 18/03/2015 15:28

If I got a positive OPK on CD13 how long would I have to DTD just checking something

beckiepea83 · 18/03/2015 15:27

Happy Birthday Wolly. Hope you enjoy your holiday. I am very jel ;-)

Online ordering is a good option. Oh yes they are so expensive. So that'll save me pennies and my blushes.

Tamm, I know what you mean about driving yourself around the twist! I'm trying so hard not to symptom spot but I feel myself breaking. Ooh no!

Proudmummy2456 · 18/03/2015 14:58

Thanks Woolly hope you have a relaxing few days in Portugal!

Woolly84 · 18/03/2015 14:31

Thank you fuzzy and lily! DH and I are off to Portugal for a few days so that should help distract me for a bit of the TWW at least!! Smile
fuzzy I'm sorry you're feeling so rubbish, try and think positively, it will happen Smile
temperamental sounds like you've been through a lot, really hope it happens for you soon and is a sticky one.
Hehe lily I hope I don't get any symptoms either for the same reason! Wink
proud and sleepy hang on in there and resist the early POAS temptation! Smile

lilyb84 · 18/03/2015 13:54

Happy birthday woolly! Hope you're celebrating in style Smile

fuzzy and temperamental, I hope it all works out for you.

All the symptoms I've been having seem to have disappeared today so I've now just got a rubbish cold which probably explains why I'm feeling a bit sick (and painful boobs, but that just seems to be true 3 weeks out of 4 these days anyway). No symptoms makes it much easier to stop symptom spotting!! Wink

temperamentalamongcorvids · 18/03/2015 12:52

fuzzy I get it. I'm 38 in July and have 2dc but am prone to mc (4 to date). Getting pg has been relatively easy in the past, 5 months being the longest ttc. HAnging on to them is another matter. I was 30 when we first started ttc and I have a fear (possibly irrational) that I might be pushing my luck a bit.

Have you eaten anything different recently? Sometimes prenatal vitamins also do odd things to our bodies. Not long till Friday now Smile

Sleepybunny · 18/03/2015 12:40

I know I said we weren't symptom spotting, but this heartburn! I've never ever had this before!

Proudmummy2456 · 18/03/2015 12:35

So it's a week before I can POAS and my boobs are so sore and heavy Blush not symptom spotting at all 6DPO this is my first cycle and I have a DD aged 4 I can honestly say I can't remember being this hung up on symptoms back then!

fuzzywuzzy · 18/03/2015 09:09

Woolly happy birthday.

I am in agony this month, the cramps just will not go. I need to be constantly sitting down. Feel shattered and slept really deeply last night.

I have two DD's already form previous marriage this will (hopefully when it happens) be the first for DP. I'm scared tho as it took a long time to conceive for me and I'm way older now.
