Many thanks everyone.
Victoria - I have only ever had that when I was using the wrong level of absorbency tampon and I should have switched from regular to lite.
Actually I am using soft cups as much as possible now as it is significantly less painful and shortens the duration of my period. Though is super awkward at work, especially as the toilet doors here have gaps in them. Never going to get used to that.
Yep so happy for my friends, they have gone a bit overboard with the pictures on facebook but that's totally understandable :-) The one who had the miscarriages has a gorgeous chubby girl and the other one who had hers last week has a boy called Flynn, totally love that name.
So it totally depends on who orders the tests and procedures and how they classify it. Listed as fertility and it costs more but listed as preventative and it is covered. I think it will be about $3000 for IUI as it is covered 50% and $20,000 for IVF as it isn't covered at all.
I might see if we can change insurance next enrolment, which is once a year, to something that covers more.
Affordable care act (Obamacare) - well it only makes sure that everyone can buy insurance in that there are certain plans available that anyone can apply for and the new rule that you have to provide a plan even if someone has a pre-existing condition. There are subsidies for those on low incomes but as I am here on a green card I can't have certain help from the government or they can claim it back from my husband. Also if you don't have healthcare you get a fine when you file your taxes now.
