I have changed my doctor and the one I am going with won't be back till April , I feel she maybe more or active for me, I had a internal scan in December and was told everything looked fine and that the spotting would not affect my chance of conceiving which is crap!! I need to let me body rest and get the spotting fixed , I know that is what preventing me from having my baby and when that is sorted il feel better, il still pop in, and checking on you all,

Night my DH gets frustrated too. I just told him the plan is to dtd every other day but he would rather it just be spontaneous

Well I was feeling ok, 12dpo and just waiting AF so I know what my cycles are doing, I'm not expecting any miracles this month as feel like my poor old body has been through so much this cycle post MC.

Except I've just done something really stupid. I found an ic amongst my opks - you know one of those free ones you get. I just used it and I think I can see the faintest of lines. But it was after about 20minutes and the line is so faint that I can barely see it and I'm 99% sure I'm imagining it. But I've gone from feeling ok to now stressing that I'm getting my hopes up and setting myself up for disappointment. Stupid, dumb genni! I don't know why I did it, I hate ics and I hate poas early even more!

Just checked and I am dry. Can I therefore assume that I ov yesterday/overnight and that today is 1dpo. Will try to dtd tonight but I think after that we will have to go back to spontaneous dtd as DH is getting frustrated.

So sorry to MaMa, dojo and all those others for whom AF has arrived. AF is ridiculously heavy for me atm. Sigh. Oh well. This will sounds weird, but after years of not having an AF, I do appreciate it arriving as it does on schedule. Silver lining and all.

Purdey I'm with you on the mindfulness thing. My boredom threshold is sooo low and I can really identify with the holiday scenario - DH and I are both like that actually. Neither of us are lie on the beach types. I hope all the lovely messages have made you feel better, you seem to be a great source of comfort and advice for many on here.

Purdey, I agree with what the others have said and you have achieved so much, admitting you're an alcoholic, seeking help and quitting is massive. You've 100% turned your life around. It's understandable for you to be nervous about your new job but I do think it will be so good for you and show you that you are capable and respected. You have so much to offer and I hope you find your niche soon.

I think I've completely missed my fertile windows this month. not because I didnt track my cycle but because we didn't dtd when we should. Plenty action leading up to it but my most fertile days fell on days that my son had some unsettled nights where we ended up tag teaming seeing to him. Combined with the sleepless nights we were too tired to dtd. Children are a great contraceptive! I'm not even going to bother with the 2 week wait this time as it would be a miracle conception!

Purdey if you every want to chat via pm then I'm very happy. You're very good at encouraging all of us to be assertive and proactive about our fertility but I don't get the feeling that you're equally as proactive and assertive about your own mental health. You should be: you're worth it as a woman, a mother, a wife. And I think that if you can find an avenue for it, mindfulness would and could do wonders. It's not supposed to be easy...

Mama thanks for the offer of asking you questions. I was very interested in criminal psychology at college and when choosing a course at uni, its an extremely fascinating subject and must be such a rewarding, although challenging job. However, I chose a path in forensic anthropology/archaeology.
