Knit, did you test a few hours after the almost-surge yesterday? You probably would've caught it then. It is not typical for a true LH surge to last until the next day (although we have certainly seen evidence of that on here) so, yes, it probably happened sometime yesterday afternoon/evening. Nowt to worry about, though, if you're rumpying like there's no tomorrow.

You can, on rare occasions, have a second surge if your body gears up to OV then for some reason it doesn't release the egg. but I think your surge has been and gone and either today or tomorrow you'll OV. Happy shagging.

Ok all, I'm confused by my ovulation sticks. HELP!

Yesterday (CD 11) I got a pretty strong line - perhaps not quite the same colour as the control line but near as (photo upthread) and then today, nothing. Just a very very faint line. And the weird thing is my wee was probably more concentrated this time today than this time yesterday!

Does this mean yesterday was my LH surge? I'm attempting the SMEP principle of dtd on the day of a positive test, two days after, etc. Should I trest yesterday as a positive? Or can you have more than one LH surge in a month???

I am shagging away like nobody's business regardless I'm just asking in the spirit of scientific enquiry!

Creme, major mood swings were a big early sign for me last time I was pg- I suddenly felt properly furious/tearful you name it... 2 days later I had a bfp... SO fingers crossed for you.

News from me, I bit the bullet and registered with a doctors surgery and made an appointment. The first date they could see me is March 31st. Still it's progress to my bfp. I came off the pill on 17 May 2014. Been a long journey thus far.

Just checking in. Currently in Canada, jetlagged and exhausted. Still a few days from ovulation, but I'm quietly confident about this month. A whole load of stress just disappeared yesterday because I finished my PhD. A few revisions to the dissertation and it's done. Still waiting on DH's non-chicken poxy sperm, though, which could take until April. Still, one less thing to stress about must be good.
