There's nowt wrong with kale juney it's good stuff! I'm well impressed that I've managed to get DP to eat it and quinoa too!

Missed your update on the student, sorry it didn't work out but at least you've managed to find a decent donor instead!

mrscatmad31 · 04/03/2015 21:40

juney glad you found some more spermies. Makes me feel bad for moaning about oh not giving me enough, at least I don't have to endure horrible sleazy men and huge costs. My fingers are very tightly crossed for you.

PurdeyBirdie · 04/03/2015 21:38

kissinggiraffe · 04/03/2015 21:35

No purdey AI is not an option, oh is horrified at the very thought. No idea why - makes him feel less manly or some such nonsense.
You are completely correct in that we are carrying tonnes of emotional baggage from last time ttc. When it's been a hard slog before its impossible to imagine it being anything else.
I'm considering using background porn in future to keep his momento going

PurdeyBirdie · 04/03/2015 21:35

Ooo! Catmad! Many congratulations Thanks Can we have a recap of your age stats?

loopylou1984 · 04/03/2015 21:34

Mrscatmad! Congratulations!!

And Juney, yay for more spermies... Will we be cycle buddies again? When do you usually ov? Xx

mrscatmad31 · 04/03/2015 21:32

PurdeyBirdie · 04/03/2015 21:28

Juney, yay to 4mls of sperm! You've gotta be in it to win it and you're in it! Oh, I'm so, so pleased you got hold of the golden spunk Smile

Kissing, it sounds like you've really been through the mill and I suspect, like DH & I, you are carrying the emotional baggage from your last efforts. Would your DH consider AI? I'm sorry if I've already raised this issue with you.

Ava, I simply cannot imagine a working day that arduous. Respect to you.

spinningirl10 · 04/03/2015 21:28

Dizzy, that all sounds fabSmile

spinningirl10 · 04/03/2015 21:27

Desperately skim reading to catch up!

sparkly good effort this week, looks like you're well on track for your March bfp!

dojo fx it's implantation and not AF. No AF symptoms here yet but just realised it would be due Saturday not Friday like I had thought, so will see spotting from tomorrow myself if it's coming.

Loving the dinner talk. , I've had a very healthy day.

Breakfast~ home made nut granola with natural yogurt and blueberries
Lunch ~ kale (yep, kale), feta and avocado salad sprinkled with seeds
Dinner ~ Harissa baked chicken breast with corn salsa and quinoa(!)

..........but now I've gone and bloody ruined it all by eating a whole bag of vise versas Hmm

spinningirl10 · 04/03/2015 21:18

Purdey, here you go:
Date and Oat Bars
Makes 20 bars (about 3×1 inches big)

– 400g of oats

– 20 medjool dates (400g)

– 300ml of water

– 200g of raisins

– 100g of sunflower seeds

– 3 tablespoons of coconut oil

– 4 tablespoons of chia seeds with 16 tablespoons of water

– 2 teaspoons of cinnamon

Start by pre-heating the oven to 200C

Then combine the chia seeds and water in a mug. Let this mix sit for about ten minutes until a gel forms. While the chia gel forms, pit the dates and place them in a saucepan with the coconut oil. Allow the dates and coconut oil to melt for about five minutes – until the dates are nice and soft.

Next, place the dates and coconut oil into a blender with the water and blend until a smooth paste forms.

Add the oats, sunflower seeds, raisins and cinnamon to a mixing bowl and stir in the date mix. Then once the chia gel has formed stir this into the mix too.

Line a baking tray (about 6×9 inches) with baking paper, or grease it with coconut oil. Then pour the granola bar mix into it the baking tray and spread it evenly across.

Place the tray in the oven for about 35 minutes, until the top turns golden. At this point take the tray out of the oven and leave it to cool for about 15 minutes, before cutting it into bars – this is important for getting them to set!

PurdeyBirdie · 04/03/2015 21:17

Oh crikey, so many of us in grumps today. Mine was terrible this morning and I took it out on MaMa, which I am very sorry for Sad Thanks I also shouted at an elderly lady this afternoon on our way home from the ducks. She keeps her four dogs outside every single minute of every single day and they make an horrific din whenever we walk past. It frightens my nipper to death. Anyway, I espied her in her garden and went a bit Rambo on her ass. Th'usband: 'I just know that can't have made you feel good about yourself. Why did you have to do that?' So then I felt really bad and spent the afternoon reflecting on how much of a turd I have been the past couple of days Sad

But...Nomio, you have just made me howl with laughter - proper hooted - at your fat dwarf comment Grin I am sorry you are so blue and I hope tomorrow comes and goes very quickly and without angst Thanks

juneybean · 04/03/2015 21:17

Sorry you're feeling grumpy Nomio, it's hard not to look at dates isn't it? :(

Thanks ava, sorry you've had such a long day!

Talking of bars, I want to try and make my own nakd cocoa delight bars.

1st was conceived whilst on the pill.
2nd was conceived 1st cycle trying. There is a 10 year gap between DC2 and DC3 so the only noticeable difference was age! I'm 35 now so not ancient but I was only 18 first time round!
We had lots of sex for the first year ttc #3 but then things got tough and it really nearly tore us apart. It's a miracle we conceived her at all to be honest.

Not certain that I ov every month I don't temp. Used opks for the first time this cycle and got a positive but I know that doesn't actually mean ov....
Need to put this month behind me and get positive.
