Hi Mary! Feeling pretty good to be honest. Bit thirsty and chapped lips / streaming cold, wasnt sure if that was due to snotty tot or symptom.... Fingers crossed it's a good sign....

MarysPrayer · 25/03/2015 20:48

Just popping in to say hi Smile. Ava thank you for your kind wishes.

Pear, your breastfeeding snack hamper is a lovely idea.

Giddy how are you feeling? I am constantly thirsty and my mouth is so dry. Doesn't bode well - not even 5 weeks yet Confused

peardrop2 · 25/03/2015 14:55

Ahhh it's looking hopeful for you Ava Smile

OP posts:
AvaAmulet · 25/03/2015 12:40

It's weird that it's such a localised 'pain' though - right where I would imagine my ovary being Confused It might just be all in my head and wishful thinking, but they do say that remaining positive is important when ttc (and that your more sensitive to these things after your first pg) Wink

I did get a dip in temperature at ov and a .4 degrees fahrenheit increase for the last couple of days so i'm still hopeful. I'm such a dunce though, as I didn't realise the egg could be fertilised up to 36 hours after ov Sad now I'm a bit worried we stopped eod too early. Still, if it's meant to be it will be...

peardrop2 · 25/03/2015 10:21

Giddy, yes! Karma has to be just as good as baby fairy dust right?! WinkSmile

Karma pear, you'll be rewarded for your kindness. Fingers crossed it will be soon! X

peardrop2 · 25/03/2015 07:29

Oh and Ava...TMI at breakfast time but looking back at my notes I am always feeling crampy/constipated straight after OV so it is deffo a hormone thing Confused

Thanks Giddy. Although I am insanely jealous EnvyEnvyEnvy of all my pregnant friends, ones with newborns and even the announcements on here...I refuse to let that come between friendships and I still want to act as the good friend that I am Wink

This is my current list: Bananas, walnuts, pumpkin/sunflower seeds, a bag of spinach, some sort of cereal bar, flapjacks, mini Mars bars (although might have to leave out cos of colic), soreen, hot cross buns and apricots Grin

peardrop2 · 25/03/2015 06:56

Thanks a lot ladies ?? Sorry I should have said I need to stay away from caffeine and fizzy products because of colic. Loving the ideas! I'm quite excited to go to the supermarket to put it all together for her today Grin

Thanks Ava. Sounds good for you this month, fingers crossed!
Pear, that's so very kind of you to help your buddy. I made loads of those cookies that are supposed to increase your milk supply. I made huge batches of the dough, then split it and froze in little batches. then it was dead handy to get out a pack of dough before I went to bed and then cook in the morning? Bit of effort required for that one though! Otherwise chocolate hobnobs. Summat mad like 11g of sugar per biscuit but they were gooooooood! And drank lucozade like a loon.

Droflove · 25/03/2015 00:21

Pear, oats supposedly boost supply as does fennel tea. I ate millions of flapjacks, my mum made loads and I kept them in a tin by the bed. So I vote for a tin of flapjacks and a pack of fennel tea for the kit.

AvaAmulet · 25/03/2015 00:07

Lots of mini mars bars Blush my nan always said they helped with milk supply - not sure if they did help or not but they felt like ?uch an awesome 'guilt free' treat. Grin

When I did this for my sis recently I included chewy sweets - natural confectionary (?) snakes; individually wrapped pains au chocolate; bags of tasty rice cakes; snack packs of biscuits (I can't find the tubes of choc digestives with a lid I used to eat in supermarkets now - they were handy); cereal bars; bott?ed water; and ambient cartons of juice. Maybe other things I can't think of right now (I should be asleep, I have work tomorrow Blush)

A travel mug would also be useful - she could keep a nice (sugary) decaf (?) tea/coffee beside her for longer than a regular cup or mug Smile

peardrop2 · 24/03/2015 22:26

I'm preparing a "breast feeding snack survival kit" for a friend with a newborn who is lacking in energy. Can I pick your brains please. What did you all snack on to boost your energy in the early days? Thank you x

Sorry Pear Blush meant to congratulate Giddy and Mary Must be over tired from all the eod'ing Hmm

I'm sure I will be congratulating you very soon though Wink In the meantime I shall give you a gold Star for spending another tough day with pg friends...

Was talking to another mama at playgroup today who's expecting her second DC - she'll have that 2.5 year gap we wanted Hmm

peardrop2 · 24/03/2015 21:46

Ava Grin why are you congratulating me? Typo? Lol I do deserve a congratulations for spending another day around pregnant friends though Wink I'm not thinking these cramps are in any way linked to a BFP at all. I've had all sorts of twinges in the last few months. This must be hormone related aa you say! My body is surely convinced. It's just ovulated and now should be gearing up to having AF. Can't imagine what's going on in there!

AvaAmulet · 24/03/2015 21:25

Hi All! Massive congratulations to Giddy and Pear! I'm so pleased for you both! Flowers

Pear, you aren't going to believe this, but I am now 2dpo and for the last 3 days I've had a weird ache/pulling feeling in what I guess is my right ovary! It's really freaked me out as I haven't experienced it before. It took me by surprise in bed the other night and lasted a few minutes and since then it's been coming and going. I looked it up and don't think it's ovarian cysts as it's not painful, but my sister (my 'go to' person in RL Wink) had this when she conceived DD and was told by her midwife that it was due to the surge of hormones. I've also read that it could be the force if the egg shooting out Shock

Info feel differently this month - been feeling more positive since having my first proper AF, DD is still doing really well and is down to a couple if feeds in the day and night, I've been temping, poas daily (had my first definite positive!) and made sure I've been eating lots Wink I ov'd when my app said I would so I feel like my body is finally regulating itself...

Hey, we might both get our bfps this month and have the same EDD, ha!x

peardrop2 · 24/03/2015 18:43

Rosie - I was meant to be POAS on Thursday but since I'm only dpo2 that's not going to happen.

On that note. I've not said anything to dh but I've been getting cramps around my right ovary. Bit strange. Perhaps it could be early AF symptoms but I don't normally feel cramping around the ovary area pre AF! Maybe it's all in my head Blush

Mum I think I'm going to get some & start them in April. Let me know what you think of them. I've been temping the last couple weeks & its all over the place.

Anyone poas soon? I thought this was the week for it Wink

I'm feeling very Envy of pregnant friends lately so I'm trying to focus on losing weight & enjoying ds.

Hope you ladies have a lovely weekFlowers

Mumof1sofar · 23/03/2015 14:44

I've just bought some cb digital opks so will be interesting to see how it goes this cycle. At least I'll definitely be able to confirm if I'm ovulating or not Smile
