rough I've had treatment for CIN 3 the leetz thing. At the time the doc said it wouldn't affect my fertility however it could cause and early labour - but he didn't say how early. If you're worried asked your GP about it.
I'd like to have a year off work, then maybe do four days a week. My friend's a child minder as she is forever going on courses and being inspected were as we'll be mostly left to our own devices.

purdey no they never really looked into it, just kept changing my pill. When I was pregnant I didn't find out til I was nearly 23 weeks, partly because my periods were so irregular and I had random bleeding. I had to go for blood tests loads because they kept thinking I was anaemic (I wasnt) but apart from that nothing else. I can't quite remember what the treatment was for the abnormal cells - was a v stressful point of my life anyway so that didn't help! I think it was cold-something or hot-something, whatever it was called it was the opposite temperature?! If that makes sense.

One day I'll request my medical notes and have a read. I used to have to photocopy medical records - not a fun job! V hard work!

I'm glad I'm not alone oyster I think the best you can do for your family is what you feel best doing. If that's being a SAHM then great, if it's working full time and cherishing days off together then great. Each family is different but we all do what works for us.

Puds there was talk of setting up a casserole club here but the oldies didn't want our food!!

9dpo here, pissing like a tap and back ache again. Plus DP is convinced I'm pregnant. Will be a tough first month with hopes crashing to the ground if AF shows her face. Which I know is inevitable. January had all the lucky 1st timers.

When (!) I have kids I'll go back to work full time after 9 months and put sproglet in nursery. Sorry if that makes me a cow. I'll be a mum first and foremost but I want to carry on being me too as I kinda like it :)

Maybe my cycle is getting longer. Hmmm. No af yet. Spotting seems to have stopped last few hours. That's a full 29 days now.

So when af finally rocks up proper, what day do I count as CD1? The day I started spotting or the proper first day of af?

mummy I think you are really brave to admit that you don't want to be a SAHM. So many people seem to think that is a shocking idea. I think it is a perfectly natural one.

purdey I second the OU idea. I know it must be scary, but I have no doubt whatsoever that you could do it. Please don't feel guilty about being bored/depressed. I believe that you can love a child ith every fibre of your being, but still want to be a person in your own right.

If we are ever lucky enough to have children, I would definitely still want to work part time. I think that it does children good to see strong, intelligent women earning their own money.

Aaargh! Maseface, you are supposed to be telling me I did the right thing opting out of academia and am enriching the life of my sprog by being interminably bored with her at home.

Mummy, the crumblies really appreciate the food and because they have teeny tiny appetites I don't have to make huge amounts above and beyond what I would normally make for DH and myself (I batch cook and freeze).

Girls....I am procrastinating. I don't want to go to bed because when I wake up tomorrow at 13/14dpo I know my temp will have plummeted and it's game over. Again. I'm 44 in six months

I live in a cul-de-sac too, but full of young chavs non working families who try to start arguments with everyone and call the police on each other and gossip. But we try to stay out of it and I love the countryside our house looks out on. It's lovely that you cook for the oldies! I hope someone brings me stew when I am old. I work for a CCG (outing self) it's interesting and I get stuck in - I do admin but get involved in commissioning too as my boss loves me and wants me to develop.

purdey thanks for the welcome! If you were to do a uni course what would you do it on? I think it's sometimes good to do a corse on something that interest you rather than the sensible career choice. Much more likely you'll do well and it won't become an overbearingly stressful experience. In the long run any degree / further education will benefit your career which will also benefit your family. Being a good mother isn't just about being a SAHM so i don't think people should feel bad if that's not the right thing for their family.

I live on a lovely cul-de-sac with octogenarians who I cook for on a rota basis. One of them is 95, called Doris, and when I took Nancy to meet her after she was born I said, 'Here you are, Doris, here's my baby!' 'Ooo! What's it called?' 'Nancy, Doris, she's called Nancy.' 'Ooo!
