Hi ladies- join you on this thread I'm 18m ttc now and I must say your an inspirational bunch! But gutted because this month we have had sperm analysis and we abstained before hand for the sanple which fell right on top of fertile window! Gutted! But as DH said 'it's not happened in the 18m prior this month won't make a difference' to the point but true!!!
Day 21 bloods tomorrow xx

lildottie · 26/03/2015 10:30

no its very inconvenient Roxy, feels like my ovary will burst with every thrust! but temp up this morning so this crazy post mc cycle is finally coming to an end!

Roxy1212 · 26/03/2015 09:54

lildottie ouch, pain doesn't sound too great a sign but you know your body better than anybody else! FX for a temp rise!

lildottie · 25/03/2015 21:43

sorry for more bfns Roxy, its possible you had a cp given you had a bfp then the bfns.

sorry to hear you had a mc too. I imagine its pretty shitty however long you've been ttc!

hoping I've ovulated today based on the pain when we had sex last night, usually a sure sign for me! negative opk tonight which is first ive done this cycle. usually get a line pre ovulation but bugger all on this one so hoping for temp rise tomorrow.

Roxy1212 · 25/03/2015 19:07

Thanks both, I just got a BFN with a FRER so that's 1 positive IC, 1 possibly positive IC, 2 negative ICs and 1 negative FRER. I guess I'll see where we are in a few days - so disheartening though, it sometimes feels like it's just never ever going to happen for us :(

lildottie so sorry to hear about your MC, mine was only 2 days after my last BFP (before TTC and quite a surprise) so I didn't have much time to get my hopes up and it wasn't something I'd worked for - I can't imagine how devastating it must have been for you Flowers Flowers

I've no idea when AF is due - I keep track of them but there's no obvious pattern!

lildottie · 25/03/2015 16:19

Roxy for me even the squintiest of squinters on an ic at 8d2dt after ivf was a true positive, so you can't rule anything out. I've heard lots of women on these boards say they get stronger tests in the evening. is AF late? I think the best thing to do is get a frer. my squinter was a solid pink line on a frer at 9pm. sadly my ICs which had got stronger got squintier 6 days later and 4days after that my mc started. my long winded point is a line is a line is a line so you aren't out. fx for you. Thanks

victoria401 · 25/03/2015 14:15

No idea roxy ic's are notorious for not being very accurate though. I see you are getting plenty of response on April bus though :-) good luck with a frer.

Entering fertile week, the sun is shining, the birds are mating in the trees (!) my rat survived her operation, life is good :-)

Roxy1212 · 25/03/2015 09:31

I don't want to cross-post because I just commented on the April bus I wonder if anybody here can advise... We had a faint BFP last night but 2 BFNs today, does that mean that the BFP was definitely wrong or is there any hope at all?

victoria401 · 25/03/2015 07:22

Oh could have sworn you were on the iui thread! Sometimes I ask you questions! Grin

Had horrible dream last night that all my workmates were announcing they were pregnant! Then we were all away at some kind of youth hostel thing and as I got there a bit late all the beds were taken and I was told I had to spend the night on a bit of sponge on the floor in the hall! I was shouting "i can't do this, I'm 35 years old!"

Nonconformist34 · 24/03/2015 21:01

Didn't know there was an IUI thread, I think the first one I was on became stagnant. I did test with my cheap internet tests after trigger just to see if they work and what they look like as positive. Fingers crossed for that lady, I was told it takes about 10dpiui to get out of your system. I think it was 4.8, have had so many figures don't know if I made that one up now!!! I have to say my clinic have been amazing and all the fertility nurses are lovely, fingers crossed for your next round Vic x

victoria401 · 24/03/2015 20:27

I think there are pesseries as standard in my regime non I might have to find the handout to make sure I didn't make that up though! So your lining was 4.8, why was mine deemed too thick at 4.5? Most confusing why all the clinics are so different. Can't believe you would have had all 3 of your iui in the space of me waiting for my first! You poked your nose into the iui thread? Lady on there is refusing to believe she's got a pos test result, thinks it must be the trigger still in her system. The lady with the hubby's frozen sperm after cancer.

Hi all x

Nonconformist34 · 24/03/2015 20:04

Vic- Yes, I've always gone on cd5 and started injections that day. They did say they normally scan between cd3-5. My lining was 4.8 and follies less that 10mm. I had no side effects on my first round with the pessaries, only in second round so your holiday will be hormone angst free hopefully. I did ask for the pessaries, they weren't given to me as routine so you may not even be offered them. Our bodies are such weird things at time!

Mamama31 · 24/03/2015 19:25

Thankyou Roxy and good luck to you for your bfp soon x

Roxy1212 · 24/03/2015 14:19

Oops, still getting used to how Mumsnet works - sometimes I get emails and sometimes I don't so I hadn't realised how many posts I'd missed in here since commenting a few pages back - so pleased to read your news, mama, congrats!!

I'm on 13 DPO now and still no sign of a BFP (or even a Little Thin P for that matter :D) so I'm much less confident that this is my cycle but still very pleased to have O'd so maybe I'll get another chance soon!

Sorry about your AF, non, fx for next time

Metalhead · 24/03/2015 07:44

Good luck non, hopefully it's third time lucky for you!

victoria401 · 24/03/2015 06:47

Hang on a minute non your clinic scan you on day 5? Mine does day 3. Is it any wonder my lining hasn't gone under 4mm when I'm still bleeding?! And if it was a follie left over from last cycle it might have been smaller/gone at cd5...

OP posts:
lildottie · 23/03/2015 21:53

I didn't have mood swings on the pessaries Vic, just huge boobs and constipation! although the later was better when I changed to doing them vaginally instead of rectally.

victoria401 · 23/03/2015 21:43

Thanks all.

Sorry about af non fingers crossed for next month hun x So do progesterone make you crazy?! Would I be a crazy person on pesseries?! On my much awaited holiday?! Will I be evil in sunny paradise?!

OP posts:
Mamama31 · 23/03/2015 20:09

Thank you non! And good luck for next iui, I hope it's the one! X

Vic sorry the iui couldn't go ahead, hoping next month it works out for you x

lildottie · 23/03/2015 19:21

fx third times a charm metal. sorry about AF.

Vic definitely no need to put it on hold and a holiday in the tww sounds a fab plan! hope ur managing to keep ur dh off the fags and on the vits OK!

Nonconformist34 · 23/03/2015 18:41

Mama I'm so happy for you both, congratulations on your amazing news. You are a true inspiration to us all and have shown that we can never give up!

Vic-gutted your follie was too big but at least you hadn't started your injections yet. Fingers crossed for next round. Annoying it's yet another cycle

Well AF didn't arrive for me last Thursday 2 weeks post IUI as expected. BFN on 15dpo, started spotting then AF arrived with a vengeance on Saturday :( I've been an exhausted hormonal bitch the last two weeks so I'm relieved to feel normal again. Those progesterone pessaries are not to be underestimated!

Anyway, had cd5 scan today so started last and final third round of IUI. Will be rescanned Friday, insemination hopefully next Monday. The clinic have filled out my referral forms for IVF if needed, just need our signatures. If this one fails, it's only a two week wait to go to the IVF clinic. Feeling fed up and frustrated with everything on hold, trying hard to be positive with it all but always have hope.

Metalhead · 23/03/2015 17:59

Hm, that does seem a bit strange. Hopefully you'll have better luck next month, and can then forget all about the 2ww on your holiday! Smile

I don't really want to work full time, but there are not many part time jobs advertised so I thought I'd just apply for full time and if I'm offered anything try to negotiate. No point getting ahead of myself anyway, they'll probably turn me down for not having any direct experience or something along those lines...

victoria401 · 23/03/2015 16:12

Urgh metal 2 hour commute is no fun at all. You have people at home to spend your time with not sat in car/bus/train. Do you need the full time hours rather than part time?

No reason given whatsoever for the the follicle. Well, the nurse said it could be recruited already for this cycle but on cd3?! I don't ov until at least cd14 or later! Reading up it might even be left over from last month. Several other ladies who have had follicles on cd3 have said that they had gone a few days later and they started treatment later. I did have really painful ov last month lasting 5 or 6 days so maybe it was some kind of super follicle/cyst thingy causing me the pain and left a corpus luteum for longer?! Who knows. Anyway, no adive given, just call us on your next cd1 and thet'll book me in again for a cd3. I have decided that even though we are booked to go on holiday abroad next cycle I will phone up anyway. I have realised that time is too precious (and i'm curious to see what my follicles and lining are up to). If my calculations are correct I will be on the 2ww when we go away so will just be taking progesterone pesseries. I can put them in my bag. Sorted.

OP posts:
Metalhead · 23/03/2015 15:04

Oh no, that's rubbish vic! Did they say what could have caused the big follicle and if there's anything you can do to avoid it for next month?

I had a job interview today, it went reasonably well I think and the job sounded really good, but I don't think I could make it work even if they offered it to me as it would be full time rather than my current 3 days a week, and include a 2-hour commute each way...

victoria401 · 23/03/2015 12:46

After that flurry of excitement last week has died down I can reveal my news...

Went for my baseline scan for iui last weds. My lining was at 4.5mm and I had a follicle measuring 11.5. In order to proceed with iui treatment I needed to have no follicles bigger than 10mm and a lining of less than 4mm. Therefore I failed the pre-treatment criteria and cannot have iui this cycle :-(
