lildottie · 20/04/2015 09:26

*more tests not note tests!

lildottie · 20/04/2015 09:25

hey I think you are at the worst point tbh. I'm 2.5years in with an ivf mc under my belt and I don't find it as difficult and all consuming as I used to. I think the 12m mark hits hard and you start worrying about what is wrong with you/him/both of you. you spend months waiting to answer that question then months waiting to find out how to fix/get around it. once you know where you are going next it does get a bit easier, despite the continual endless waiting. after your bloods you should get referred regardless of results as you've been ttc over 12m. after my referral I had note tests. problems were with dh but all testing was on me. I had ultrasounds and hsg to check tubes. because we had make factor issues we were headed for icsi whatever my tubes were doing but its all pretty standard stuff. that took another few months for me then I just had to wait to start the ivf for another 6 months but I had a goal then, a deadline when it might all end so it was easier. hope that helps x

heyarnold19 · 20/04/2015 08:44

Hi all, thanks for helping with my bloods question last week. I've been reading through some of the thread and I really admire all your strength and positivity. Does this ever get any easier? I'm really struggling today as I know AF is going to arrive on Thursday as all the signs are there. I even had a little cry on the train to work this morning which is just ridiculous! Its only been 14 months so I'm nowhere near as long as some of you guys but today I'm really feeling like I dont know if I have the strength to carry on with all the disappointment.

I havent talked to anyone in real life about my situation as none of my friends are TTC so figured sharing with all of you might help! x

victoria401 · 20/04/2015 07:51

I'm feeling ok thanks girls. Kind of sunk in, as in I'm taking it easy and feeling tired! Not sunk in for dh as to him I'm still the same. Don't think he will believe until I have a bump!

Laura I don't temp so can't help. I got my positive 18days after my positive opk and my only symptom was cramps, but they felt higher than af cramps. Fingers crossed for you x

Hi lil x

lildottie · 19/04/2015 22:32

laura its possible to have LH surge (detected by opk) but no ovulate,so it could be that your body is gearing up to try and ovulate again. can u share your ff chart here?

Lauraqc · 19/04/2015 22:20

*feeling would be even better...!

Lauraqc · 19/04/2015 22:20

Thanks girls. I ended up going for a swim and clearing my head for a bit which made me feel better.

Also - has anyone ever experienced having af (with ovulation) but FF hasn't confirmed ov by temp? I ask because even tho FF didn't confirm it I had a positive opk and 2 weeks later am having odd symptoms like cramps for last 2 days, tender boobs and a feeling that af was about to happen..? I did a hpt yest and there was the faintest second line but none today. Think it was just evaporation. Isn't helping me to keep calm much though..!

How are you geeling Vic?

?? waving to everyone else!

lildottie · 19/04/2015 22:12

mama I completely misses your post, I'm so sorry! I know there are just no words but know we are here for you and understand the pain you are going through, physically and emotionally. Thanks

Laura you are not a failure. its bloody hard staying positive and keeping up all the things we are supposed to be doing. I'm going to try and get back on the diet tomorrow. my plan is to start one meal at a time! and if I can ignore my lindor chocolates all the better!

Vic how are you doing? has it sunk in yet?

mrschatty · 19/04/2015 11:51

Oh laura I'm so so sorry to hear how down you feel atm :( it's a terrible situation that you are in and like you say there is no pattern for you to follow so I can imagine how helpless you are feeling :( I wish there was something we could do to help xxx

victoria401 · 18/04/2015 20:40

Hi Laura. Sorry you're feeling so down at the moment hun. It must be so frustrating for you not having proper cycles. I hope something happens soon to give you some positivity in your journey again x

Popped in to say hi and my heart skipped a beat! Vic congratulations lovely! I'm so pleased and happy for you!

Also Honey and Jessie fab news congrats!

We're going from highs to awful a lows - mama I'm thinking of you, so sorry to hear your news.

Nothing to report from me - FF took away ov again so even tho I hoped I'd be 14dpo today I'm not and no sign of ov on horizon. Have given up dtd - not bothered for about 2 weeks now. On CD57 or something ridiculous. Just wish I had a proper shot at it each month like you lovely ladies. Can't lose weight. Am a failure. Feeling down today. P*ss off weekend.

EllaBella1 · 18/04/2015 08:46

Thanks ladies. Brown spotting started at 9 dpo again. I don't understand why. Argh. I'm so frustrated by it all. Need hubs SA then back to the gp

Meredithgraze · 17/04/2015 22:58

Hi,
Pls can I join? Just hit 10mths ttc and no bfp.

1dc, followed by 3mmc, tests show no probs. frustrating!

Will read thread now marked place.

lildottie · 17/04/2015 22:00

ella definitely check the requirements for your area. my gp said they would make us wait until 2 years if there was no indication of infertility from my bloods and dhs sa. but our clinics website says they take a referral if you have been trying 1year.

your dh should have 2sa's. they may not do a second if all OK but I'd push for a repeat as sperm can vary a lot test to test.

and definitely get a print out of your results. but dint pabic at the terminology. I was told "satisfactory" over the phone but my numbers were actually pretty high.

victoria401 · 17/04/2015 20:51

Yes you do need figures Ella! Who gave you the result? Receptionist? Letter? Text?! Dh got his last blood test results by text!!!! How long til you get dh's results? Don't be fobbed off with satisfactory, I presume it means you got over 30 and produced an egg. If both your results come back normal you may be required to keep TTC until the 2 year mark. Be prepared for that. Try googling criteria for referral in your area. I found PDF files online for gp guidelines for fertility. There is info out there.

EllaBella1 · 17/04/2015 17:39

Just got my cd21 (well 24) bloods and the result is satisfactory. What the feck does that mean?! if I want figures I need to see the Dr. No follow up or referral. We have been trying since dec 2013! Anyway hubs is waiting on his SA so once we have that back I will go to the Dr again.

Can anyone help with what happens next? If hubs SA isn't great does his GP refer us (same gp practice) but if his are ok do we need to push for referral and further tests?

Mamama31 · 17/04/2015 16:35

Thanks vic x

victoria401 · 17/04/2015 15:46

Great news for all these bfp's on here lately, I wish you boring uneventful pregnancies and healthy babies.

Back soon ladies, keep my seat warm x

Lindsay81 · 17/04/2015 13:38

WTF?! I just saw jessi and honey! Haha! This is brilliant! Is there something in the broadband/ internet waves?! lol :-)

Lindsay81 · 17/04/2015 13:36

mama- you are one of the most positive and loveliest ladies we have had on this thread. It's not fair that bad things happen to people like you. Let's get next week past you, with lots of love and cuddles with DH and friends/ family, and then you know we are here for you whenever you want to start spending some more time on the thread. Much love, mama xoxo

vic- Such great news!!! You deserve it too, it's been so long. I hope me and lil are next too! OPk+ (just!) this afternoon so I am on it! lol Best wishes for a happy and healthy pregnancy!

Mamama31 · 17/04/2015 12:48

Lil you won't be on your own. I will be rejoining this thread soon. Unfortunately I've had a few early scans and the last one on wed showed no growth or heartbeat. I have a scan Mon to confirm what we already know then scheduling a d&c hopefully not too long after. We are heartbroken but when I have the strength I would like to rejoin this thread again to continue with this crazy journey. I will never give up!

victoria401 · 17/04/2015 12:32

Omg! Jessie how bizzare! Congratulations! My period was meant to fall last weekend so I called the clinic on Friday to find out if there was a weekend number I needed to call. I said I'd like to do this cycle as we will be on holiday for the start of the next one. She said well you never know relaxing on Hol might do the trick! (don't you flipping hate that being said?) I replied well its not worked the past 2.5 years so I highly doubt it. She replied again well it dies happen a lady just phoned me now before you to cancel as she's got preg naturally. Little did I know that I wound be phoning 5 days later to do the same! Flipping 'eck! Everything crossed for our Christmas babies!
