Thank you mamma it has definitely been an amazing experience so far. Will keep you posted. Big hugs to you x

Mamama31 · 23/04/2015 14:43

Ah Lucie that's amazing!!!! So exciting for you! And yes I remember discussing Prague clinics with you as it is something we would def consider if we need it and our NHS go doesn't work or it doesn't happen naturally again. I'll be keen to see how yours goes keep in touch, I'm sure your nervous but also excited! Best of luck, lots of prayers sent your way x

lucieloos · 23/04/2015 14:27

Hi mama so sorry for everything you have been through. Im glad that you and your dh have been really close through it all and there for each other. Like you say just enjoy each other's company with no expectations for now. It will happen for you againThanks

We are in the process of ivf at the moment. I think last time I spoke to you on here I was planning to go out to prague well I am here now and the clinic and everything has been fantastic! I would definitely come here again if we need to. We are due for transfer tomorrow which will be day 5 so really keeping our fingers crossed that one or two good ones make it x

lildottie · 23/04/2015 14:16

it makes all the distance to have that support. I was very attractive and cried first time we DTD after mc. luckily dh kinda expected it and was great.
next cycle whenever I want! getting a couple of blood tests next week and thinking we'll probably go for August as we are moving house in May so should be settled by August. just want to get on with it though!

Mamama31 · 23/04/2015 14:12

Hi lil :)

I won't be temping (never did) or charting anything. I am moving forward with no expectations. We are focusing on getting ourselves back to how we were emotionally and of course with dtd as it's been a long time!!!!!!! (haven't dtd since we concieve because of the spotting/mc fear) 8 weeks!!! So once the bleeding has stopped I just want to enjoy some quality time with my husband again ;) we are a very affectionate couple anyway but the stress and spotting over the last 2 months has really taken its toll on us. But we are closer than ever and DH has been such an amazing support to me. I'm so lucky to have him.

What's happening with you lil? When's your next ivf cycle? X

lildottie · 23/04/2015 13:59

Thanks mama its so horrible but its good you are trying to stay positive. expect your cycle to be up the spout for a bit though. it took 2weeks post mc for my temps to stabilise and my "proper" cycle to start so I had a 7week cycle. mildly convinced I may have had a cp in that cycle too. this cycle I'm on cd15, normally ov cd18-20 with lots of ewcm before and so far not a drop so expecting this cycle to be a bit wacky too.

Mamama31 · 23/04/2015 13:00

Hi ladies. I'd like to come back now. D&C was completed yesterday. It was a difficult day and the last 2 wks have been the darkest moments of our lives. But I feel today is a new day and the worst part is now over.

So here I am again, ttc after a mmc. I was told there is no reason not to ttc soon as we feel ready (once the bleeding has stopped) and that I should be more fertile following the mmc and could get pregnant more easily so to use contraception if I don't want that.

Well given that it's taken such a long time to get in the first place, I don't think we will be using contraception. But probably not try not prevent initially.

I hope everyone is well. Please update me on where you are all at in case I've missed important things.

Onwards and upwards I guess. Have missed you ladies though so at least I'm in good company x

mrschatty · 23/04/2015 08:41

Ha thanks ladies...Victoria mine is HORRID I have no make up and look exhausted but I had them lying about from a time I urgently needed a new rail pass!!
Good luck with bloods Lil xxx

victoria401 · 23/04/2015 07:46

Yes we had to stick a photo of us on the paperwork mrschatty! They were the only passport photos we had in the house and refused to pay out for new ones! I had short hair and its now long and dh didn't have his beard lol!

Good luck with the bloods lil I hope you don't have the thyroid thingys. A lady called ibeka on the angry pubes conception thread has them and is on this trial for the tablets but she has a 50% chance of getting a placebo, how awful for her :-(

lildottie · 22/04/2015 21:38

I had to give a copy of passport for me and dh mrschatty , but just a photo does sound weird! think its an extra way for staff to know they are dealing with the right person so another layer of safety to avoid mixing up eggs and sperm with the wrong eggs and sperm. dh had to sign loads of forms when he gave in his sample on ivf day too and a nurse had to witness him signing.

blood tests booked for next week! Grin

mrschatty · 22/04/2015 20:57

Wish me luck ladies I'm officially in the 2 week wait! Hopefully some of the luck and positivity on this thread will come along with me!! Also had our letter in from fertility clinic asking us questions to assess our eligibility...anyone else have to supply a picture of yourself? Weird? X

honeybeebumble · 22/04/2015 10:31

Glad you're feeling positive lil - hope everyone else is doing ok today. x

Lauraqc · 21/04/2015 22:24

Ah that's brilliant news Lil and so pleased you're feeling positive about it all! The trial sounds interesting and I always think it's good if you're monitored more along the way. The house move will occupy you and before you know it it'll be that time again!

lildottie · 21/04/2015 22:04

Hi all. just checking in to update on my situation. Had our follow up appointment today and we can do our next cycle as soon as my next cycle! We are going to wait until we have moved house and settled so thinking about August. I need to have a blood test to check for something i didn't fully understand which is a mc risk factor thing so glad they are doing something. Frustrating thing is I had blood tests before so why didn't they do it then?! Also they are doing a clinical trial i can join. They are looking at whether slightly high but still normal tsh levels can mean antibodies can increase MC risk. Its a blood test and if i have high levels they give you a pill, if not you know its not an issue and got the extra blood test out of it! Feeling quite positive today.

Lauraqc · 21/04/2015 20:49

Nice! That'll be lovely and hopefully relaxing for you! Let the excitement sink in :)

We've got a week in Ibiza booked in July - only flights so far mind haven't sorted hotel yet! I've been before on my hen party and my DH went on his stag but we've never been together so that'll be good fun!

victoria401 · 21/04/2015 19:47

Went to work, came home, cooked dinner, watching tv. Same old story lol! Ah well 2 weeks today we will be in Malta just arriving at our appartment :-) Anyone else got summer hols booked?

Well it's been as if my body knew how much it was annoying me - I had cramps which woke me in the night and then af started today! Again, I know for most girls that is the worst news but I'm just pleased it's...well...something! The worst is when I don't get af nor ov signs or anything so this is good! It also means I'm perhaps not as nuts as I thought because even though FF said I hadn't ov'd I had all the signs and felt that I had...it also means a fresh start and fresh cycle and I can take the soya isoflavones again.

How is everyone else today? Been beautiful on a course and went and had sandwiches in St James's Park! ??

victoria401 · 21/04/2015 18:12

Any news Laura?

Thanks Lucie x

lucieloos · 20/04/2015 16:29

Mamma I was so sorry to hear your news. Life can be so cruel at times. I hope that you are coping as well as you can. We are all here for you whenever you want to come back. Thinking of you.

Mamama31 · 20/04/2015 16:03

Lil it's a missed mc so it has not come away itself and could take weeks. I'm 8 weeks but baby stopped developing around 6 and a half weeks. A d&c would be less traumatic for me I think.

Metal thanks, yes I've been told it's quite straightforward and should be home shortly after lunch time wed.

sep15 · 20/04/2015 14:49

Hi everyone... Hope it's ok for me to join. I am 2 years in trying to conceive #2 and am 2 cycles into clomid and trigger shot... About to take shot tomorrow and then will be into TWW... Trying to stay positive!

Metalhead · 20/04/2015 13:16

Just popped back in and saw your news mama, I so sorry you're going through this. For what it's worth, my D&C last year was over in half an hour and I had hardly any pain or bleeding afterwards. Good luck, will be thinking of you.

lildottie · 20/04/2015 12:40

I told a few people hey but wish I'd kept it to just one or two now, or even none. everyone is just waiting for you to do ivf and asking "any news".

mama its good you have a date. is there any chance mc could start naturally before d&c or is d&c most likely?

heyarnold19 · 20/04/2015 10:25

Thanks Lil and sorry to hear about your own journey and mc, it must have been incredibly tough for you.

I think you are right, its the not knowing at the moment that is bothering me. If there is something wrong then at least I can get my head around that and then try to do something about it but at the moment I feel a bit like I am in limbo.

Oddly, writing these posts this morning has really helped and I am feeling a bit better already. I think may be I do need to talk to a friend or my mum about it but I think I am just a bit scared as once I start telling someone, I can't take it back! Really glad to have found this group Smile
