I know wot u mean dildoos. I've always thought, I can't imagine complaining when I'm fat and preg, or when I'm sleep deprived coz I'll have wanted it so badly and cried so much for it. But then maybe I'm being naive and all this will have been a forgotten memory when I have my baby?? I don't know!
Oh I know seeking, my first preg-I got preg 2 months was so naive and immature! The thought of miscarriage wasnt even in my mind! I was so jammy. Came tumbling down very quickly. How old r u if u don't mind me asking.
Good luck for ur appt when is it?

dildoos · 13/02/2015 20:52

Seeking- I also thought that, but what I have found is that us who try so hard to be mummies are in the end so grateful of the gift of motherhood that we treasure them moments a bit more, I don't mean that the falling straight away don't treasure their children as the absolutely do, however I have 2 friends that will often agree that I stay calm, I guide, I allow messy play, I take time to do homework, read at bedtimes all those things I treasure and feel guilt of I don't do something as a mum as well as I could. We don't take any part of motherhood for granted. When all you lovely ladies get your turn at motherhood you will see how your parenting comes so differently to that of others xx

Seekingmiracles · 13/02/2015 20:45

You'll get there Trying. I've fallen pretty quickly each time too... Generally 4th cycle after each MC. I'm paranoid that I'm now going to have issues falling again. There's always a worry isn't there. The thing that upsets me the most is the fact that I have all this worry. When most people have a generally worry free time getting pregnant and miscarriage doesn't enter their innocent little mind. Oh to be one of them! Hmm

Tryingno1 · 13/02/2015 20:38

Good luck seeking! One thing that mr s did do with my tests, which I didn't think of at time was test me for TB. That's incase I needed humira if my tnf was off. It wasn't, my tnf was normal, so I didn't need the TB test. Which I'm sure will have been a good few hundred. He could have tested me for TB if my tnf was off after, obv would have meant a good 6 weeks delay before I started ttc...but just a thought incase u really need to watch those pennies!

It is a really hard journey. I've suddenly lost the ability to get preg after 3 quick pregnancies and don't know wots going on. It's all pretty shit really. (And its not mr s plan (to take pred post ovulation before a bfp) coz I was a naughty patient and only followed it for 3 Months and haven for the last 4). So not sure what's up. Not my time for a baby yet I think.

Seekingmiracles · 13/02/2015 20:25

I've had most of the nhs tests and they've all come back normal so far. Got an ultra sound next month at my follow up consultation. Hoping DrS can shed some light on immune issues. DH nearly just spat his tea out at the cost! Haha! But I'm very much in the 'fuck it' mindset.
Yay for Hope indeed, I hope everyone else has more success soon. This heart break is unbearable.
Thanks for your insight Trying Smile

Tryingno1 · 13/02/2015 20:17

He tests nk cells and ur tnf status (it's either high or low) and I think ur th1 and th2 levels. So it's basically an immunology work up. It's the same tests they do for ivf patients who fail to implant/recurrent ivf failures.

I have high activity of nk cells (just) but nk levels are normal. My tnf levels are also normal.

I went to him after my third miscarriage. After my second my routine nhs tests came up normal. I tried again, miscarriaed my third and went to see mr s.

Tryingno1 · 13/02/2015 20:14

Seeking-hello, sorry u find urself going to mr s. best thing if to get all standard tests done by gp/ur recurrently miscarriage clinic to save u money! So-lupus,thrombophilla,thyroid, pcos, prolactin (uss and blood tests) amongst others I am forgetting! When u see mr s, he will go through ur history. And send u for some blood rests down the road-they cost about 2 grand! 2 weeks later u meet him and he plans tx with u! Lots of ladies have had sucess with him, but currently we are going through a rough stage on this thread. Apart from hope who is 20ish weeks preg with a boy after 7 miscarriages. Yay for hope!

Snoopy-try be postive. Try not to plan what to do if this one ends. Bean needs u to happy! I don't know if ur gp will do another tests as its not the majic "three in a row" but its the ones above I've written....rem most miscarriages are one of events and no cause....hugs. Sorry ur going through this uncertainty. I forgot, how old r u?

dildoos · 13/02/2015 20:12

Had all testing with dr s in October cost us £1850.
I ha chromosome testing on Nhs but dr s said it's a really dated test that means nothing really now.
I have high functioning nk cells so not over amounts but the ones I have over react to pregnancy and the more miscarriages I have the worse they will get as apparently like my body is going into anaphylaxis every time I get pregnant.
He is a clever clever man x

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 13/02/2015 19:35

The thing is if this is going to end badly it will technically only be my second miscarriage. My gp was great and did my thyroid antibodies what else should I ask them for.

Is that just for the NK cells trying?

Thank you all for your kind words. I've actually stopped crying for the first time in ten days.

Seekingmiracles · 13/02/2015 19:32

Hi ladies... I will read back throughout promise.
Just wondered if any of you had any experience with Dr Shehata. We have our first appointment with him in April after 2mcs and a cp.
What can I expect? Had full thrombophilia screening with nhs and nothing has come up. Convinced I've got high Nk cells. Thanks in advance Smile

Tryingno1 · 13/02/2015 18:47

Any loss after a postive test hurts no matter when it happens....

It cost about 2 grand. I got all my standard stuff done by nhs like thyroid, lupus and uss etc. have u had these done by the recurrent miscarriage team at ur local hospital? I then had nk cells etc done with mr s.

Try be positive if u can, I really hope the bloods are promising. Loads of ladies spot all through pregnancy and have a happy healthy baby. Will be thinking of u this weekend.

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 13/02/2015 18:41

I'm only just over five weeks, so I guess it wouldn't even count as a miscarriage.

Just did the first blood test.

I don't want to pry but any of you had the full range of tests from Dr s and how much did it cost

Tryingno1 · 13/02/2015 17:52

Oh snoopy I'm so sorry. I know it means nothing to us who miscarry but spotting doesn't mean it's all over. Loads of women do...how far along r u? Have u spoken to mr s midwife?
Don't worry, someone will call u mommy it's just ur journey is going to be longer and tougher. But they will and u will be a lovely mummy. (I worry the same too, but we both will get there just who knows when).

dildoos · 13/02/2015 17:29

Snoopy, I know it is very hard but try stay calm. Are you to up your cyclogest? What's your hcg level at present? How many weeks are you? We will all cross everything for you! X

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 13/02/2015 16:33

Hi everyone just thought I'd update.

Had some light brown spotting but seems to be getting heavier.

Waiting for hcg tests but know in my heart it's happening again.

I'm scared no one will ever call me mummy.

dildoos · 12/02/2015 22:35

Trying it's sad that we become like this but feel we do to try harden ourselves to the blow. So at month 9 has given you a fair chance to fall without! I keep everything crossed that you won't get to that stage! Hope Monday goes well xx

Tryingno1 · 12/02/2015 21:52

Hi dildoos. Sounds like ur undecided about what to do. U still need time to heal and regroup and decide what u want to do. I hope ur ok....hugs....must have been such a shock for u in general...not knowing u were preg and then miscarrying. I hope ur feeling stronger

My appt is on Monday.
I've become quite despondent about the whole thing. Trying to to forget it all. I give up! What will happen will happen and what will meant to be will be. I can't do anything! So I just have to move on with life and see wot it brings. Will give it a few more months then consider SO at month 9 I think (if tests all ok).

Waves to all x

dildoos · 11/02/2015 08:59

I am still not sure trying, some minutes I feel yes I can, a few minutes later it seems like a huge mountain I am unable to tackle at the moment.
I haven't been taking the aspirin, pregnacare or d3 up until last night and I think it's worth me taking them so that if I have that pull to try at ovulation I won't carry the what ifs?
DP gave me an option to sell up and move or do the renovations I would like, I have opted to stay put purely because if I have a larger home and don't manage to have another baby will something always feel missing?
So at the moment I am choosing kitchens, have builders around discussing plans and it seems to be occupying my mind. My dad is going into what would be a babies room and she is having her larger room as a play room so there is no spare space to be looked at in a sad way.
Trying what's next appointment for you? X

Tryingno1 · 11/02/2015 08:36

Rosa I'm in the exact same place as u. Easy preg 3 times and now nothing?! So frustrating I used to think as long as I got preg one must stick somewhere along line. Now I'm confused! Anyways I've had a few days off the good eating and had a glass of wine yest (felt drink after 1 small glass!) so back on the healthy eating today! But like determined said before I don't think it makes huge diff, everything in moderation.
Dildoos been thinking of u-are u gonna try again or have a break? Hope ur holding up ok x
Hi to others

dildoos · 11/02/2015 07:54

RosaSad how disappointing .
Is it this coming month your doing so?
Trying- why oh why do perfect strangers manage to feel they should know very very personal facts about you? Grrrrrrrr and you were thinking positive too ! I am annoyed at her! Angry
Sunny your doing well in your month off, have you has any thoughts for your next cycle?
Determind how are you?

Day 6 here but not really sure what I am doing this month. Af arrived on time Friday. Got to check next Monday that I have a negative test.

Hello hope, hula ,smidge, and everyone else.

X

Rosa27 · 10/02/2015 22:22

Thanks Trying & Hula. I'm not surprised but still feel your heart sink a bit to see it confirmed. Don't know what doing wrong. Got easily preg 3 times in a year and now nothing in 7m. Sunny gave me some Zita tips and think I'm not staying warm enough for someone with bad circulation and eating far too much sugar. New regime beckons for this next month .. If my new cycle ever starts!
Smidge... I have same problem ... Think it must affect digestion etc too.
Hey everyone else x

Hula2 · 10/02/2015 19:49

Sorry about the bfn Rosa. Positive thoughts for us all for next month.

Trying - how rude some people can be. They must be really stupid to think that such questions are acceptable. Poor you.

Smidge - could be the progesterone too adding to the bloating, i didn t have it on just the 25mg pred. I take it now you re on the higher dose you ve had the transfer ? Everything crossed for you this is a sticky bean.

Tryingno1 · 10/02/2015 13:17

I'm not sure about the egg collection stuff! But the pred can cause water to be retained so u get bloated! But unlikely after such a short course. Hope that helps?!
New girl at work just asked if I have a baby, why not, and how old I am?! So rude! Mind ur own business! I just said I wasn't in any rush!

Smidge001 · 10/02/2015 12:09

Hi there. Well I'm on about my 4th day of 25mg pred, after having had about 10 days of 5mg. I've really noticed my tummy being stuck out, and hard even - I can't just breath in to give myself a flat tummy, which is not normal for me. I'd assumed it was swelling from my egg collection on Friday, but it hasn't gone down so now I'm wondering if it is side effects of the prednisolone. Can anyone let me know if that is likely? I've done some googling but it's not clear to me if the people I've read about had been on pred for much longer.
I'm drinking heaps of water as instructed while on progesterone etc anyway, so it's not as if I feel bloated as such, but I definitely look it!!

Tryingno1 · 10/02/2015 08:08

Hi rosa sorry bfn. Ur starting SO soon though so hopefully that bfp is around the corner! Such a frustrating journey we r on! How long did it take u to get preg last time? Have a good day x
