Sorry your blood results have you worried Drttc - but as the others have said, one result is not a good enough indicator, it the rise that's important. And you could have ovulated late. Its seems I ovulated 3/4 days later than i thought! DrS told me that even then the egg lasts 12 hours so thats an additional amount of time. I had a positive opk on the Saturday... yet think the sperm must have hit the jackpot Monday/Tuesday if my dates now are anything to go by.... God Knows!! I'm really wishing all is well and you have some better news tomorrow.

Fantastic news about your Harmony results Rosa..... F**k you Daily Mail!!! I hope you feel comfortable enough tomorrow to relax a little and enjoy reaching 12 weeks successfully!! Long may it continue!! Smile
I'm so undecided on the Harmony test..... Part of me wants to know asap. Part of me thinks that I do have age on my side (I'm 31 ...nearly) so maybe wait - have Nuchal done on NHS and IF results are a worry have the Harmony done then.

Snoopy - I just love all animals!! I have two very beautiful Ragdoll cats, would happily have more but I fear I may turn into one of those crazy ladies! Can't wait to go for long walks with the dog Smile

Hope Acu chilled you out a little Trying. Can't wait for mine on Thursday!

Hula2 · 02/06/2015 20:32

Rosa - sorry about your grandad but lovely that he knew about your LO. So pleased your harmony was all good, just the scan and then you can really start believing this is it.

Snoopy - good that your appt with Dr S was helpful. You will get there.

Trying - totally understand you feeling a bit freaked out, you re doing brilliantly just take it day at a time.

Drttc - as the others have said you just can t tell on one result. There s still hope so try to stay positive. You re pregnant now until proven otherwise so just hang in there.

Sunny and seeking- everything crossed for your scans and hoping time doesn t drag too painfully.

Hello everyone else.

Afm - had my apt with dr s and all set up to start SO next cycle, just finishing second course of humira this cycle. He wasn t worried about my fsh and said since i d had two lots of humira i should have enough immune support not to worry about taking pred till bfp since it had messed my cycle last time i took it from ov. Kinda excited to be trying something else.

Rosa and Sunny how many rounds of SO did you do before your bfps and how many follicles were you getting on the scan ?

He s starting me on 7.5mg a day from cd 2-6 plus ovidrelle trigger (i ll be getting good at stabbing myself !)

Off to italy on thurs for my best friends wedding at (she s finally found her man at 40 so will prob join the ttc train soon- i ll point her in the direction of that article snoopy - def bettr reading than the stupid daily mail alarmist one).

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 02/06/2015 19:01

That article really made my blood boil! My mum saw the bbc report and was disgusted, she said she didn't bring me up to be a walking womb!

I prefer this article www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2013/07/how-long-can-you-wait-to-have-a-baby/309374/

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 02/06/2015 18:57

drttc that doesn't sound like it's over by a long shot. Some pregnancies have very slow rising HCG and honestly one result isn't an indication of anything bad at this stage. At about 18 dpo mine was over 2200, and I still had a miscarriage and convinced myself it was a molar pregnancy (crying down the phone to my mum that my baby was going to be a tumour is not my finest moment)! What I'm trying to say is, it's all so individual and there is definitely still hope for this one.

trying you're very brave. I can deal with victims that have been stabbed and shot but do not ask me to see my own blood being drawn, no way could I manage my own injections.

Oh wow seeking I'd love a German shepherd. My grand dad has a German shepherd cross and he's huge but so loveable. DH wants a french bulldog because they make him laugh, but I said I wanted a dog slightly bigger than the cats Hmm I like border terriers, loved them ever since I saw the episode of futurama with Seymour the dog in it.

Tryingno1 · 02/06/2015 18:13

Rosa I wish u could write to the daily mail and tell them
To stick it up their arse!

Tryingno1 · 02/06/2015 18:13

Rosa hip hip hurrah!!! U have a baby inside u and its growing and hopefully v healthy! This is great news. Good luk. Telling everyone soon Grin
Drttc-hope rosa results help u! 54 really isn't that low AT ALL. Get another to check it's going up, that's wot matters. Sleep well
Tonight too!
The injections r proper ones with little needles u have draw stuff up and make it, dh is fine doing it I prefer him doing it! I had acu today which went well. I'm still frreaking up, worried about all these drugs which. Are meant to help, and worried they will stop ivf working?! A new worry every day!!!

Rosa27 · 02/06/2015 18:03

Dry tv = Drttc. Sorry!

Rosa27 · 02/06/2015 18:02

So sorry... There was a whole new page I missed and was clearly responding to the press article! Not dry tv your results. You may be right but you might not... The next blood result will be critical. My 13 dpo was only 51 then 2 days later 174. It's more important to focus on whether it at least doubles - or so I was told.

Trying. I'm embarrassingly superstitious too... Salute solo magpies 3 times and ask them how their wife is?! Know it rubbish but don't take ANY chances with luck these days. I've 'wishes' blown off dandelions in my pocket .. You name it Blush

Rosa27 · 02/06/2015 17:51

I know it's terrible!
Too early for me to celebrate as 12 week scan tomorrow but I did get my Harmony results today - and at age 39 I had the lowest possible risk scores for all the tests they did ... So the Daily Mail can stick that in their pipe and smoke it. They thrive on 'bad news' stories. Yes, there's risks.. We know .. But they are over amplified by the press and absolutely not helpful. I certainly didn't choose to be this age - immune issues the nhs don't recognise meant I repeatedly suffered heartache which likely could have been avoided and so I think the press would be better spending time writing interesting articles on how the nhs could save heartache and money in the long run by funding ways to support people like us- and testing for immune issues before RMC. X

sunnyday01 · 02/06/2015 17:20

Drttc, I am sorry things are not looking so positive for you, but hopefully your blood results will come back with a better answer - what day are you on at the mo? It's so hard - i keep thinking if I don't believe it it won't be hard if something goes wrong - I don't think it will be any easier for me if something does go wrong this tine - wish I could fast forward to my scan. Is this your first mc on the treatment? If do might be worth a chat with Mr s - he might suggest hydroxy - that's what I was given when I went to see him after my last mc on the treatment.

Snoopy/trying - I know what you mean about omens - I went to some counselling once and was advised something similar to what seeking says - you have to remain positive and no one/ no thing can Externally influence what is going on inside you. Easier said then done though.

How did dH get on with injecting you? Are they proper injections or a pen like device? I did all my injections for SO as they were a pen like thing and quite easy plus I don't think dh could have done it to me! Lol!

Sorry to hear about your grandpa rosa - hope you're doing ok. Can't believe your 12 week SCSI us tomorrow - feels like it has flown by where as my time is going very very slowly!

Tryingno1 · 02/06/2015 17:16

Drttc, I don't know much about what levels should be...but could u have ovulated later? 15dpo some
People only just get a bfp which is 25 sensitivity? There is still hope! Try cling onto it, let us know wot Louise says....if u ovulated even a few days later 52 would be a great no? Are u having it repeated to see if it doubles?
Rosa had a level check maybe she can help? But even then every preg is so so diff.
Hope ur ok xxx

Drttc · 02/06/2015 17:06

Really sorry to hear about your grandad Rosa- hope your bearing up alright!

Not great news from me. Hcg for 15dpo was only 57. Which is basically atrocious enough to have no hope, but cruel enough to not be an impossibility. So tomorrow I see if it doubles. Emailed Louise and that's what she advised. Can't say I'm surprised. I don't like being so negative all the time, but if I'd really let myself believe this... I'd be in bits. I don't want to be a downer though! I'm sure I'll get a BFP again & one of these days it'll work out. I was really hoping the treatment might just magically fix whatever is going on. Now I'm just wondering how many chemicals/miscarriages it's going to take to get there :(

Seekingmiracles · 02/06/2015 14:40

No such thing as bad omens girls! I don't believe in that rubbish. You're all going to get there one way or another. I truly believe that!! A black crow or one seed sprouting is not going to change your future. DrS told me last week when I was panicking about my brown discharge issue - that there's no point worrying about what you can't control. He said I was doing absolutely everything in my power and that's all I have to focus on. It definitely helped.

Rosa you're sooo close to 2nd Trimester!! Your pregnancy seems to be flying by yet mine seems to be going ridiculously slow!!

Yes Snoopy - it's me getting the dog! A German Shepherd so not a small one either! Going to have my hands full!!

Drttc- any news? Hope all is ok.

Tryingno1 · 02/06/2015 14:22

Don't worry snoopy ive lost track of the postive and negatuve omens!
I have myself my first injection (well Dh did) and then randomly there were amazing fireworks at the lake where we were staying. Straight after I got up we saw and heard them from our room. Good omen?
Then the next am I saw a black crow-it was following me all day! Bad omen?!
(glad it's not just me who thinks these things!)

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 02/06/2015 14:17

Was it seeking who said they were going to get a puppy soon? What kind of puppy are you getting?

Do you think this is an omen? DH got me a little ceramic pot and some forget me not seeds ( they are the official flower of where we went on our honeymoon and also quite an apt name considering what we've been through ) so I'm not the most green fingered person but I try, I followed all the instructions and out of about thirty seeds only one has sprouted Sad

Tryingno1 · 02/06/2015 12:58

I know snoopy I have majorrrr scan phobia. So much so that if I ever get preg im transferring to another epau as I can't bear that ceeling and the waiting room. Too many awful memories and also bad scans with retained products etc.
Drtcc where r uuu? Hope ur ok
Rosa let us know ur results...I hope they come soon and hope ur doing
Ok.

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 02/06/2015 12:46

rosa that's so exciting! You're on the final leg now! Does the scan anxiety ever go away though? I can't imagine ever not crying at a scan, hopefully one day they'll be happy tears.

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 02/06/2015 12:43

trying I spoke to Dr s about the article. He said he had had patients calling him in tears over it and that it was just scaremongering by a woman with dubious credentials.

It is extremely hurtful though, as if women aren't berated enough now they have another club to beat us with.

drttc any news? Thinking of you

Rosa27 · 02/06/2015 12:21

Trying, yes he knew as was with all my family at Christmas 2 years ago when had 2nd miscarriage. Snoopy- I also imagine spiritual guardians are looking after spiritual wee ones as well as any we may have :)
Scan changed to tomorrow as funeral thurs. Just no idea when will get Harmony results.. Hope today or tomorrow.
Drttc- any news? Thinking of you x

Tryingno1 · 01/06/2015 22:26

Oh rosa, how lovely he knew. Did he know about ur history too? I hope u took some comfort in him knowing. Hope ur doing ok Flowers

snoopy I got my dH to take my
Phone from me before! I know that stupid effing article!!! Plus my SIl truely believes that all
Women should have kids by the time they are like 20 so I'm sure it will add to her stupid views even more! She's mad about her views and now this will have just added to it!

I ended up looking up immunology and ivf and just found failure after failure story. The thoughts of never having a family keep creeping in....not sure how many more years of this I can contain this. Aghhhhh!!! Hopefully my Acu lady will calm me down...

Drtcc finger crossed for ur hcg results xxx

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 01/06/2015 22:16

rosa that must have made him very happy. I was very close to my grandma but she died many years ago. I like to imagine she's looking after my lost little ones.

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 01/06/2015 22:12

morgan, God forbid it happens, but have they said what treatment they would suggest if you did suffer a fourth miscarriage?

The nhs have been good to my mum, although it took them a while to diagnose her and she has had some bad experiences over the years, but none of the doctors can even make eye contact with me and not having any sort of contact has really upset me. I know I'm not going to die from this but I am suffering.

trying you have as much cake as you need. I understand the research overload. DH woke up at three thirty this morning and found me googling 'age and fertility' because of that horrible article in the daily mail, that they repeated on the bbc news tonight. I might have my phone confiscated at night now to stop me Blush

Rosa27 · 01/06/2015 22:09

Don't worry about the cake Trying. I ate 3 Wispas today and some mint matchmakers - random I know! Hope accu gives you zen, usually does the trick. Until them close your eyes and imagine that feeling you get when you get into a lovely warm bath with candles and amazing aromatherapy... Or just have one :)
Thanks everyone for your comments about my Grandpa- tough day but I'd confided in his wife (my Gran died years ago so he remarried) and she told him before he died so he knew and I feel good about that.
Welcome Morgan. Hope it's an east decision for you .. It's overwhelming at first with all the info and options. Hope we can help at but but sounds like you already know your stuff.

Tryingno1 · 01/06/2015 21:10

Hey guys. Havinng a panic this evening. Zen out the window . Worried I'll never see a bfp ever again...And more to research read on and stress out about .
Got acu tmrw I hope she calms me down. And I went and had a huge piece of cake too Sad

MorganLeFey · 01/06/2015 20:58

Snoopy - Yep, am under his NHS clinic... Feel hypocrite not to use the NHS system (I'm medical) & the wait for initial appointment was quicker than privately although results are probably slower & seems like slightly fewer tests along the NK lines as just one type of count was on the blood test form.

But am slightly hedging my bets as a later private appointment lined up too to ask especially about whether additional treatments like intralipids or metformin (suspect I'm PCOS-y...) might be helpful. Also told NHS wise if all my results are normal then just aspirin/progesterone unless I have a FOURTH miscarriage & I wonder if that would be different in a private clinic? I am having all sorts of ethical / evidence based medicine dilemmas!

Sorry to hear about your Grandad, Rosa.
