I'd question the need to have the scan with DrS, he said he's happy for me to be scanned by NHS but will still want to see me fortnightlyfor prescriptions and bp checks etc. If I can get scanned by the NHS and just show him the u/s report I'm going down that route - save myself a few £££. My local epu have said they'll scan me fortnightly so seems a bit ridiculous.
Fingers, toes and anything else crossable are crossed for Monday!

Rosa27 · 08/05/2015 15:44

It is nerve wracking but I'm sure (certainly hope!) you'll be ok. Most news is ... It's just when it's not it's devastating so we focus more on they. I've another scan Mon. Shame in a way as seems unnecessary but need to see Mr S so can get ongoing prescriptions. It just adds lots of expense as we travel from Edinburgh and stay over / plus of course the cost of scan etc. but totally be worth it if all keeps going well. And I will appreciate his most expert view etc.
you'll feel much better Mon eve after speaking to a pro. X

Seekingmiracles · 08/05/2015 15:24

Ignore the intralipids question... Just read back Blush

Seekingmiracles · 08/05/2015 15:23

Mine is Monday afternoon (6+2). Beginning to feel the nerves kick in.
Did you have to have intralipids rosa?
I'd just ignore everything you're feeling as ultimately you can't tell what's going on in there one way or another. Just think positive and if your that way inclined send a little prayer upward.
Have you got another scan booked in?

Rosa27 · 08/05/2015 14:28

Everything crossed for you Seeking!
When is the scan again?
I'm not sure what is going on as had SO and this would mean conceived before the ovitrelle- infact think would make it an immaculate conception as pretty sure I was nowhere near DH at that point! Bizarre .... But hopeful nothing to worry about. So I need to remember .. All the pains I felt to date were not bad signs, or the days I felt absolutely not pregnant, or the night sweats which were just like those I got before my miscarriage. There really is no way to predict anything is there?! X

Seekingmiracles · 08/05/2015 14:04

Wow that's amazing Rosa!! So happy for you! Told you all would be fine!
Also I think in the first few weeks baby can have growth spurts but he time you get to 12 weeks he/she might have settled back to your original edd. Or you could have ovulated earlier than you thought?
Glad you're feeling more positive.
My turn next .... Here's praying!

Rosa27 · 08/05/2015 12:57

I'm (we're!) ok still so far.... HB and now apparently 8+6 which is amazing on 2 levels. First- wow I'm so so shocked and relieved- tears of relief .. But still need to keep excitement in check as still early. Second- Based on first day of last period I should be 8 tomorrow. But that makes me 9 tomorrow?!! How's that possible???
Thanks so much for thinking of me and checking in. Hope others are good and good news comes your way soon xxx

Hopender · 08/05/2015 11:28

Good luck Sasha!

Thinking of you today Rosa.

Seekingmiracles · 07/05/2015 20:23

Good luck tomorrow Rosa - will be thinking of you and sending you lots of positivity x

Rosa27 · 06/05/2015 22:33

I know, I've had more crampy feelings, quite low down, tonight though. So so so worried. Scan on Fri can't come soon enough. I've just had one intralipid and due another very soon and at 12 and 16 weeks.
I know what you mean about small milestones. Mine are getting past each toilet visit right now! Que sera sera... I wish the future was our to see though, just for a moment even x

Seekingmiracles · 06/05/2015 21:04

It's very confusing at times! How many lots of intralipids have you got to have Rosa? I'm booked next Friday. Quite handy that they come to your house now though!
Just take it day at a time, one little milestone at a time. Get to Friday and then think about the next step. I find looking too far ahead terrifying! I'm just concentrating on Monday and then I'll think about seeing DrS and intralipids.

Rosa27 · 06/05/2015 14:47

Thanks Seeking. Positive vibes back at you. It's just so hard as feel so different. Also have twinges that feel more like the cervix than uterus..which assume can't be good at 8 weeks. Arg.. Positive, positive. I'm hanging off to book London until Fri night after scan. But need to arrange intralipids today. It's quite difficult project managing everything isn't it?!

Seekingmiracles · 06/05/2015 14:41

Rosa - I'm sending you massive positive vibes. Do some positive visualisation. And remember, remember, remember it could very likely be the pred. Do not give those negative thoughts any space in your mind. I know exactly how hard this is and I'll be here rooting for you all the way. I cannot wait until Monday for my scan when I'll hopefully find out too. I'm just hoping that my little bean is cooking away nicely in there and yours is too.
Drttc - I hope you get a better answer soon. I tested at 11dpo with an Internet cheap stick and it was a bfn, then 12 dpo with a frer was a bfp.

Rosa27 · 06/05/2015 09:43

That does sound unusual. Was it def EWCM, not just clear CM? Are you using any monitors to see if it was a late ovulation? I hope you get answers soon.
I was finally getting on a more even emotional keel and then woke last night with a bad night sweat and just felt 'not pregnant'. My slight symptoms seem gone and I'm only feeling tired due to lack of sleep today rather than pregnancy fatigue. I'm really worried. I've a scan here on Fri late morning and meant to be in London for another Mon but not booked travel yet as so anxious. Most things I've read online suggests this could be a drop in hormones prior to miscarriage ... :(

Drttc · 05/05/2015 16:42

Wahhh! Absolutely horrible day, and I'm wallowing in self pity :( . Was stood up for a work meeting I worked really hard on, walked home in the pouring rain, got a BFN, and found some brown spotting with a bit of egg white cervical mucus. What the heck?! It's cycle day 24 and I'm due on day 26. I'm worried my body hates me :(

Rosa27 · 05/05/2015 10:47

Thanks Suemays... I will be careful from now on. I love eggs Benedict!
Have also ordered colour wow. The stress and also hydroxy has left my hair greyer and thinner - not fair all this makes us uglier too. Will hopefully all be worth it!
The tiredness is a nightmare. Though I am still awake until 11 I'm staying in bed working via blackberry. Getting a sore back though!
Seeking - enjoy the holiday! And don't stress about anything. If only I could take my own advice! I bought a book yesterday which is really interesting called The Autoimmune Epidemic. It's £2/3 inc postage from Amazon and worth a read. X

I'm currently in Dubai on holiday (great timing!) but I'm determined to try to enjoy it. Lots of water and the parasol are my best buddies right now. Back Saturday and to be honest I can't wait!
I had to colour my hair - my roots were so bad as I left it so long before holiday, then found out I was pregnant!! NHS said its ok. Hope it is...oh god - something g else to worry about!

suemays · 05/05/2015 00:23

sasha I had dd in 2008 with no problems conceiving or in the pregnancy and then went on to have 10 miscarriages over 4 years afterwards. The nhs were still trying to tell me that it was a co-incidence and due to bad chromosomes/my age even though I tested high for nk cells with dr s. The only 2 successful pregnancies I had after my dd were on the immune treatments! Dr s told me that my dds pregnancy caused my immune system to go into over drive. The nhs doesn't recognise killer cells in miscarriage!
rosa my symptoms came and went apart from the awful tiredness. The pred didn't give me loads of energy as I was asleep by 8.30pm most nights plus needed an afternoon nap too. In Chinese medicine its good to rest between 4-5pm if you can whilst in early pregnancy. I didn't use any hair dye as I know dark ones can be dodgy is early pregnancy so us bought a hair make up called colour wow which hid my roots until 12 weeks. I was really careful with undercooked food as lost a pregnancy due to food poisoning so didn't want to risk it again.

fackinell · 04/05/2015 22:44

No, NHS only. I'm SE so no private care through work etc. I will look at Dr Quenby but a bit annoyed at Kerry for her no replies to my calls or emails. Hmm

Rosa, I know what you mean about wanting to forget the past. I just kept thing that it is what it is and I know that sounds harsh but it worked for me. It was going to work or not for me and sadly it didn't. If Pred masks the symptoms it's probably that in your case.

Everything crossed for you!!

Rosa27 · 04/05/2015 22:38

I know Seeking - I'm worried my worrying is making my immune system worse.. I need an 'off button'!
Where are you in the world?
Pred insomnia is a nightmare isn't it. I get 3/4 hours max .. Can't wait to get off this .. Though ideally weaning from 12 weeks not before. Hope you have a better sleep tonight x

Seekingmiracles · 04/05/2015 21:53

Come on Rosa - you know the pred can mask symptoms. Try not to worry....I'm all too aware that's easier said than done though. I'm exactly the same - pretty much zero symptoms. I've been awake since 4.30am and am only just in bed! It's 00.50 where I am!!
How come NHS are reluctant to scan?? I thought it was standard protocol to scan more frequently after rm??
Fackin, I hope you find some way around your issue. If you can't afford Shehata, Quenby is definitely well regarded so worth a visit.

Rosa27 · 04/05/2015 18:28

Fackinell- you don't have any Bupa health insurance.. Most of first tests covered on that?
Failing that could you get a family/friend loan so at least you're not worrying about interest?
It is bloody expensive .. But ...
In terms of my symptoms I'm just a ball if nerves as between now and 16/5 I've had missed miscarriages signalled my symptoms disappearing. I wish I could be hypnotised to forget the past - it would help!
Hope you find a way to get the tests and treatment you want / need x
