Implantation bleed... Or not?

Just wondering if anyone has had a similar esperience and what the outcome was? A few days after my period was due (according to an app; my cycles vary a bit in length so its hard to say what late is) I noticed some blood when I wiped after going to the toilet. This happened twice in one day but not again afterwards and there was no blood flow. The next day I had cramps. This was 3 days ago. I have also had a horrible cold so not really able to detect if there are any other symptoms. A test last night was negative.
Does this sound like an implantation bleed? If not, I'm really confused as to why I havent had a proper period?

I hope it's not just the cold messing things up - that didn't kick in properly until a few days later. Going to test again first thing on Saturday but finding it hard to wait!
Sorry about your BFN MrsG but as you say might be too soon
Gingerbreadmam is this your second time around?

Yeh, just checked - they are 10mlu... Maybe it's just my body being rubbish?

gingerbreadmam · 05/02/2015 09:27

mrsg are the test youre using sensitive 10mlu? think these are the only ones that can detect bfp before af.

ive got loads of bfns but jus realised tests are 25mlu so hopefully thats why. af due monday too. i did see a lot of dye on this mornings bfn hmmm!

MrsG23 · 05/02/2015 09:24

BFN this morning... BUT I'm only about 7/8/9 spo so may be too early! Due on Sunday or Monday? I think I'm gonna have to wait over the weekend...
Slight smear on the tissue this morning, but that's it!

test as early as you can in the morning. i had the same when i got bfp. light blood as if af was coming then it never appeared. no symptoms straight away but started getting backache which made me test. was a nice surprise Grin

A really sensitive right nipple - I have it pierced but it's never been this sensitive. I can't wear pens in my top pocket at work as every movement makes me shudder! That's it. Other than slight cramping (I'm used to painful, painful cramps due to endometriosis - these are a doddle!) and 3 days of brown discharge when I wipe... Crazy crazy.

8monthsandcounting · 04/02/2015 21:27

Trying not to get excited in case it doesn't work out. Does seem possible though. Guess I'll wait a few days and test again. MrsG23 have you had any other symptoms??

I have this too..!? I feel your pain. Last period 4th jan. My cycles are about 35 - 38 days. Currently cycle day 32. Ovulated early last week (if my tracking and CM are to be believed). Had a drunken evening if fun with zero protection.. And now 7 days later, brown spotting and cramps that have been on and off (off for 24 hrs at one point) for 3 days. No idea what is going on!

BabyBumpHopeful · 04/02/2015 20:53

It is quite possibly implantation bleeding. You may not get a positive quite yet, so wait a couple more days and test again. If still nothing by this weekend and you're concerned, see a doctor to find out what's going on.
