Implantation bleed... Or not?

Just wondering if anyone has had a similar esperience and what the outcome was? A few days after my period was due (according to an app; my cycles vary a bit in length so its hard to say what late is) I noticed some blood when I wiped after going to the toilet. This happened twice in one day but not again afterwards and there was no blood flow. The next day I had cramps. This was 3 days ago. I have also had a horrible cold so not really able to detect if there are any other symptoms. A test last night was negative.
Does this sound like an implantation bleed? If not, I'm really confused as to why I havent had a proper period?

8months if the line is pink i still reckon u could be onto something. when is af due?

my first bfp on thursday some people wouldt hae believed but its got stronger and stronge since and even today for a good visible pink line id say a least 5 mins wait. keep poas's and i will kp my fingers crossed.

the baby stopped growing at 5wks. i had minescule amounts of spotting not even blood coloured so didnt worry too much then at 8+6 i had a light bleed. had scan at 9 wks where things didnt look good. had to wait 2 wks for rescan to confirm. had a nitemare of a time and i believe in fate so by my fate rules im due a good run this time but that was all so recent its still playing heavily on my mind. the pregnancy only ended properly on 14 december when i had to have an emergency erpc.

im off to buy a digital today to do in the morning so dp can believe it lol! thank you.

Ok so I was just about the throw the test away but when I looked at it there was the faintest of faint second lines - buy my husband saw it too so I wasn't imagining it! I know that anything after that amount of time should be ignored but that has never happened before...

Ginger I can understand you not wanting to get too excited this time, I think I would feel the same. How far along were you last time if you don't mind me asking? I'm not a medical expert obviously but I guess these things do happen sometimes so there's no reason it should happen again. Try not to be too depressed, we're all happy for you!

MrsG have you tested again yet? It certainly seems odd that this has been going on so long. Perhaps you should try to see your GP in case they can help? But I agree with Ginger, it can take ages for a BFP from what I have heard.

I just did - a week and a day past suspected implantation and nada. In a weird situation now where I am testing everyday but have also now started back DTD to try to get pregnant in case I'm not - gah!

aww thanks!

i dont know u know some people dont get bfps for ages. suppose it all depends how much hormones r going around your body from baby. av u poas again?

urm feeling weird i guess. last time it was so exciting told my close family and friends then it all went wrong. now i kind of feel like yes im pregnant but right now it means nothing (how awful is that?). my mam and dad know one of my dbs and one of my best friends cos she has been thru the same and knew she would understand.

soo yeah weird. i am going to get some vitamin d today and some new jersey trousers for work (i always wear leggings and tunics and was paranoid it gave it away too quick before, not that i had a bump but i was very bloated) id rather not tell work until scan. i had to last time cos of bleeding i had a few sick days and got scared about being dragged to occy health. god this post is depressing.

MrsG23 · 08/02/2015 00:49

ginger - you didnt know you were pregnant at that point - we wont hold it against you! :)
8months dont blame you!

Currently at work on my break - small bit of spotting still and nothing else. No cramping either. A whole week this has been going on now... Surely though, I would have a BFP now? It will be 13 days since last DTD and since ovulation...?? surely I should BFP by now??

8monthsandcounting · 07/02/2015 22:42

I ended up having a teeny tiny glass in the end. I'm sure it's fine.
GingerBread how are you feeling??

gingerbreadmam · 07/02/2015 21:55

thanks Grin

is it right that until the placenta grows baby doesnt get what u eat / drink?

a glass of wine or two this early o probs wont do anything but i know what you mean. i was out last friday and already feel a bit guilty.

MrsG23 · 07/02/2015 18:42

I was pregnant at 18, 2 months after my husband and I got together... And we didn't go through with it. It's not something I regret, I just regret having to be in that position and make the decision, if that makes sense? It's ok though.

Definitely feel your pain regarding wine! If I wasn't getting ready for a night shift, I'd be having a glass now! ;)

8monthsandcounting · 07/02/2015 18:06

Well that's encouraging MrsG re not testing positive for so long. I won't give up yet! Worst thing about being in limbo is I'm not sure if I should have a glass of wine or not... Confused.

Is this your second time around then? It clearly doesn't get any easier!

AWww ginger so bloody happy for you! Flowers

My skin is clear, the cramping has stopped, the spotting has stopped. And I'm due on in th next 48 hours... My boobs aren't as sore as thy were last month when AF arrived - but then they weren't sore when I was first pregnant? So...

8months my husband thinks I'm mad too - I try and say "I'm doing all of this so I can understand my body better!". Don't think he is convinced haha

mama.. I didn't show positive on any test until I was nearly 9 weeks gone the first time! Whereas others get their BFP at 7dpo.. It differs massively!

gingerbreadmam · 07/02/2015 11:36

thank you 8months its taking some time to sink in. hope lots more bfps appear on this thread.

8monthsandcounting · 07/02/2015 11:14

That was aimed at GingerBread by the way. Sorry your result isn't what you are after mamaloves but try again in a few days

Thanks I did test and it was negative but hoping I'm just testing too early! :/

gingerbreadmam · 07/02/2015 10:49

clear bfp today Smile

btw last time i was pg i didnt get any spots i was amazed. i also have a feeling in my tummy like theres an empty ball on there almost. sounds promising!

8monthsandcounting · 07/02/2015 10:44

Well in response to your question, it varies from person to person. In theory it could pick it up. I guess no harm in doing the test now unless you're trying to save the expensive sticks!

OP posts:
mamalovesbaby777 · 07/02/2015 10:35

Oops Sorry new to this
Thought I was starting a fresh question Confused

mamalovesbaby777 · 07/02/2015 10:33

Testing negative on day 18 of 21 day cycle

Should a clear blue test be able to pick up a positive if pregnant?

Tia x

8monthsandcounting · 07/02/2015 09:08

I'm sure he won't stay anti for long Smile I have had to do a few secret tests because I think my husband thinks I am a bit mad and obsessed!
We've been trying since June but I had only just come off the pill so cycles have been a bit irregular. I know that's not that long and some of my friends - and my mum - tried longer but when it's you it feels wrong. How about you? X

OP posts:
MrsG23 · 07/02/2015 08:57

It's bloody frustrating! Haha I just wanna no if I am or not so I can work out how best to let my husband know... He is anti babies so I don't wanna be in limbo for too long! :(
How long have you been trying for, 8months? X

8monthsandcounting · 07/02/2015 08:44

Sounds intriguing! BFN for me sadly. I'm convinced it's not going up happen. Have made a GP appointment for Tuesday to see if they have any suggestions. If that was a period then I'm into the next cycle now so had better start trying again!!
Really hoping you get a more positive outcome MrsG

MrsG23 · 07/02/2015 08:40

Morning 8months!
The cramping has stopped. One smear of brown on a tissue this morning (nothing for 48 hrs before that).. Itchy boob. My skin has suddenly cleared. And that's it. I just don't know how I feel? Don't know if I feel pregnant.. Just feel bloated and 'aware' of my womb, if that makes sense?
Due AF tomorrow or Monday?

Let us know how it goes!? :)

8monthsandcounting · 07/02/2015 08:04

Any updates ladies? I'm going to test again this morning... Still not feeling very pregnant but then I still haven't had a proper period either!

OP posts:
MrsG23 · 05/02/2015 18:30

Fingers crossed ginger! Are you waiting until Monday?
You always hear of these people who get BFP's at like 10dpo! Never been me!

8monthsandcounting · 05/02/2015 18:00

Sorry to hear that, must have been horrible. I really hope things turn out better for you this time
