Mrs Crumbtious - When abouts last week did you have your solid smiley? A week next Wednesday seems quite late to do an early test if that makes sense?!! My O day was Monday so AF due a week tomorrow. Will do a hpt on Friday.

Linguaphile · 18/01/2015 17:58

Down with a terrible stomach bug today. 7dpo is too early for nausea and dizziness symptoms, right? Will it hurt chances of falling pregnant if I have some sort of stomach bug? Mind you, though, with the twins I got my first sickness in the tww and it didn't go away for 5 months Heaven help me if it's another set... Shock

emma85x · 18/01/2015 17:53

Purdey - You're hilarious!! Thanks for the smiles!

Babs - Good to know we're in the same boat. Need to get back to work tomorrow to stop overthinking! I've been on mumsnet all bloody weekend!!

Nomio - You are prepared! Looking forward to seeing your 150 BFPs!!!! Grin

Nomio230 · 18/01/2015 17:46

Day 2 of snot watch & everything seems to be back to normal. Maybe a snail had crawled in there or something!

On a less disgusting note, I just counted & I currently have 2 frer's, 6 cb digi's & a cb+. Always good to be prepared!

babsbunny · 18/01/2015 17:43

Hi Emma. Looks like we are in the same boat. Good luck! I'm frantically symptom spotting the last two days, but haven't had anything so exciting as yours!

Purdey, thanks for all the advice. It's much appreciated. You make some serious laugh out loud moments! But on a serious note, I hope it works out for you. Thanks for keeping our humour levels up! Am going to splash out on a first response for the first month trying :)

Pulpi, you are exercising some serious self control there. I would have defo poas x3 at least by now. Hats off!

PurdeyBirdie · 18/01/2015 17:43

nomio, don't forget your lilo.

pulpi · 18/01/2015 17:26

AF still late, with a sore back and feeling bloated. Still hopeful, but wary.

I have completely gone off chocolate. And a month ago I could pack away a 200g Cadbury Fruit and Nut in 10 minutes flat. I must be seriously ill... or...

Nomio230 · 18/01/2015 17:25

Ah purdey, I have such a lovey mental image of you now!

Beansprout30 · 18/01/2015 17:24

Ive spent £££ on a pair of skinny jeans today, hope this induces the law of sod Grin

Beansprout30 · 18/01/2015 17:18

Thanks purdey that makes perfect sense then!

PurdeyBirdie · 18/01/2015 17:18

Marmite, that is beautifully-timed rumpy-pumpy!

PurdeyBirdie · 18/01/2015 17:17

...I'll tell you summat for nowt though: since reading about our AI poster girl's dazzling success with a syringe I am going to be squirting so much spunk semen into my wizard's sleeve I'll be sending out invites to the pool party in my knickers.

Marmite27 · 18/01/2015 17:17

Thanks Purdey. Always good to hear/see a second opinion.

Good news is OPK was done at around 6pm, then we DTD at 11pm Friday, then again at 11am Saturday.

That'll make me 2DPO then. Thanks again.

PurdeyBirdie · 18/01/2015 17:13

Thank you for being so nice, everyone Thanks

Marmite, your Friday test was the LH surge extraordinaire and from that point you had between 24 and 36 hours to get sexing before the egg was released. Saturday's is strong, too, but that is to be expected only half-a-day (12hrs) later. This is why the advice on the packets tell you to not pee on any more opk's after you have spotted the proper surge; anything peed-on after that just becomes confusing.

Babs, I've never been failed by the cheapie internet HPTs that cost about three quid for six million

Beansprout, I once read somewhere that, for every half hour later (or earlier) you take your temp, you can expect your temperature to be .05 of a degree higher (or lower) than it should. This means a two-hour lie-in can result in a temp of, say, 36.80 when you would expect it to be 36.60. I hope I have my digital points right; I am to maths what the Pope is to sex therapy.

Welcome, emma Smile

I am so bored of the 2ww. I hate having a luteal phase of fourteen days (a day longer than usual thanks to Clomid). Can you imagine being 43 with one fallopian tube? The odds of getting preggo each month are so tragic I don't know how I keep my head out o' th'oven....Hmm

Nomio230 · 18/01/2015 17:02

Purdey please don't stop the posts. They are really informative & also make me spit my coffee out with laughter at times!

babs & emma I think either Clearblue or First Response are good. I have just been to Boots & stocked up. 3 for 2 on all tests at the minute. Smile

Welcome to the bus emma. Those sound like really positive signs, so you might not be with us for long!

loopylou1984 · 18/01/2015 16:38

Purdey - keep all the advice coming please Smile

Marmite27 · 18/01/2015 16:15

And here's SAT/SUN, very strong lines both Friday and Saturday, taken at least 12 hours apart.

Here's the pics of my WED/THU/FRI OPKs

Right so what's the best stick to buy for the Wednesday party?

Beansprout30 · 18/01/2015 16:07

purdey it was me that asked about the timing of temping, thanks for taking the time to answerSmile

I use the My Days app to track my cycles, can anyone explain the cover line thing to me? I dont get it or cant work it out Blush

MrsCrumbtious · 18/01/2015 15:18

Hi Emma I'm using the cb digital ovulation tests and had a Smile last week. Trying not to drive myself crazy symptom spotting but failing! Will be testing with FRER a week Wednesday.

Xx

MarysPrayer · 18/01/2015 15:17

I've got a twin pack of First Response tests (left over from ttc dd 3 years ago!) which I will use. IIRC they were 2 for £10 in superdrug at the time.
They can give a result up to 5 days before AF is due.

emma85x · 18/01/2015 15:12

Thanks Marysprayer!

Has anyone else been using Clearblue advanced digital ovulation tests? Which pregnancy test will everyone be using next week?! They're 3 for 2 in Boots at the moment!

MarysPrayer · 18/01/2015 15:10

Purdey , your advice and humour are much appreciated Smile

Welcome emma85x both to the thread and to Fridays party!

emma85x · 18/01/2015 14:53

Would it be okay to join this Thread?! It's my first month TTC. Now at 7dpo (implantation bleed, lots of saliva and cramps) so trying to think positive! Congratulations to everyone on their BFPs! Flowers I'll test on Friday to, it'll be 3 days before AF due so worth a shot!!!! Good luck everyone!
