How long did it take you to conceive??

Hey ladies!

My DH and I are going to start TTC next month when we go on holiday - I am so excited!!

I have been tracking my cycle for a few months just so I am in tune with myself and I'm aware of ovulation signs etc.

I just wondered how it took others to fall pregnant with their first baby?

I have regular periods, am 24,DH is 28. Both fit and healthy.

just shagging? - ages

using an ovulation kit - straight away.

First baby took 3 months of trying after stopping pill.

Second baby - one go. Literally had sex once that month, we weren't trying hard, if at all (more of a practice month) Shock

One year first time round.
3x early MCs - always conceived within a cycle or two.
The DS1 and DS2 in (very) quick succession.
Further early MC.
DS3 and DS4 conceived quickly.

It's a lottery.

One fifth of healthy couples with take more than 1 year to conceive.

Stop contraception, take your pregnancy vitamins and go for it Grin
Don't fret (if you can help it).
It may take some time. Or it may not.

Over a year with first.. Er no time with second.. Maybe two weeks (two under 14 months)

I came off the pill on October to let my cycles sort themselves out, DH had a vasectomy reversal on December 5th, I fell pregnant on the 22nd December and got my BFP on New Years day! Complete shock as dd1 wasn't tried for for had a year on no contraception before she was conceived. Dd2 took 9 months!

Wow that is great!

I came off the pill a year ago so I could track my cycle etc.

I have it in my head that it will take up to six months but obvs I hope it'll be less than that. Eeeek

Stopped pill. Had 1 period. Was then pregnant. Wishing you luck.
