The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

Oh I'm so sorry happy. Flowers

barkingtreefrog · 14/02/2015 08:52

Sad times in berry hq.
gill perhaps you're right, I don't think having a nasty uti followed by a bad cold helped my iui, I wasn't exactly offering a healthy place to snuggle into!
As it took a further week to shift it I'm glad I didn't go straight back to stabbing for another attempt, I'd have felt miserable.

All pom poms now being thrown at Jellie, beaky and smidge, and then moved to wild. No pressure girls. Have I missed anyone?

Gillster · 14/02/2015 08:29

For those who don't yet know, Happy got a BFN yesterday SadSad. Look after yourselves. So sorry you're having to go through all this shit.

Smidge - how are you getting on? Does it feel any different to last time yet?

We could really do with a positive result on this round as all been fairly negative so far for one reason or another. Come on the berries still in with a chance!

I would twizzle the pom poms and do some high kicks but I've been pretty ill with cold/flu type stuff for the last three days. Going to try and drag myself out to the hairdressers in a couple of hours but it's going to be tough. In hindsight, maybe the polyp wasn't such a bad thing as wouldn't have been at all hopeful if we'd had embies put back when I've been ill.

beakybeak · 13/02/2015 21:49

Brilliant news Wild best of luck for stimming! Right, details.. What drugs are you stimming with and when is your next monitoring scan?Grin

WildflowerMarmalade · 13/02/2015 20:09

Brilliant news Jellie. Eight fertilised and you swanning around Vienna!

Glad you are feeling a bit better today Barking.

Just quickly to say that I had the baseline scan and everything was fine to start stimming tomorrow. Eep! I was quite nervous that something would not be quite right and the cycle be delayed. I'm really seeing the value and sense in one day at a time right now.

Happy Valentine's Day to all the beautiful Berries!

Gillster · 13/02/2015 18:35

Fab news Jellie, that's an amazing fertilisation rate. Assume they're aiming for a 5 day transfer?

Thinking if you Happy, I know you don't feel positive but I'm really hoping that this is it for you.

barkingtreefrog · 13/02/2015 16:18

8!!!! That's amazing Jellie Grin

barkingtreefrog · 13/02/2015 16:17

No info evening here at the nhs clinic beaky, the consultant explains the procedure then the nurse does the injection lesson, just like with the iui. If anything goes wrong it's just not happening. This really is the last chance. We can't build in time and have the option of travelling, hence the cut off. The cut off has been in place since last May, I cannot contemplate the possibility of this crap continuing past this summer. If my ivf cycle is cancelled for the same reason as yours we won't be entitled to try another ivf cycle anyway, it'll be game over. Given my slow response on the 1st iui and it not being particularly quicker with the increased dose on the 2nd attempt, I'm not anticipating an over stimming issue, so either I'm pg by June, or planning a great time away.

TammySwanson · 13/02/2015 16:10

Wow, jellie, great news! You must be thrilled.

I went see the Spanish riding school ages ago when I was a kid and it was amazing! (And I say this as a non-horsey person)

beakybeak · 13/02/2015 16:01

Wow jellie that is amazing news! Barry and the dimmed lights clearly did the trick! I'm now pompoming for great development and a smooth transfer for you Grin

beakybeak · 13/02/2015 15:59

Mental Gill how frustrating for you though. Flowers hopefully this cycle will be The one.

Barking I'd echo what Gill says, I know you won't want it to drag out anymore than absolutely necessary and I do understand why, but a bit of leeway may be a good thing. My cycle was the reverse and hence another delay. Did you guys have a group IVF info evening yet? They give you a fair bit of information about the clinics procedures I found. Fx it all goes very smoothly and quickly for you though Flowers

Hope everyone else is starting to wind down for the weekend and hooray to half term for teacher berries! Grin Wine

Jelliebabe2 · 13/02/2015 15:58

Hi all! Just a quickie update from me! All 8 fertilised! So we're well please with that! Just walked all over Vienna so back at the hotel to rest up before my feet get worn to bloody stumps. Going to try and go to the Spanish riding school tomorrow and perhaps catch a concert. Back on the train to Prague on Sunday! Grin

Happy valentines for tomorrow my lovely Berry friends Flowers

barkingtreefrog · 13/02/2015 13:48

Nope. No more room left for manoeuvre. DH would have to hand in his notice/negotiate a sabbatical by the end of May to leave at the end of July. If not, we couldn't go traveling until January, by which point we want to be back in the UK to start the adoption process. .
Feeling better today for the first time in ages, thanks Smile.

Gillster · 13/02/2015 12:03

Thanks Barking. I know you have a cut off date for IVF and plans for travelling if things don't work out but might be worth building in a couple of months of bunce in case you over stimulate and they have to freeze your embies. Hope you're getting over your illnesses.

barkingtreefrog · 13/02/2015 11:41

gillster that's mad isn't it. And so frustrating. Angry
Thanks

Gillster · 13/02/2015 11:35

So this time last year, I was recovering from egg collection! How the time has flown (not!)

Our frozen five a side team (with sub) are almost 1!

beakybeak · 13/02/2015 11:30

OMG, 51! There is hope if we all freeze our eggs at 30 Confused pah. Good for her though.

Tiger it sounds as though you'll need a good break soon! I totally think you should get a little puppy pal for your puppy! I definitely want to get a second one as the breed that she is are good in twos. Having said that she was up at 4am so I am wrecked today!

tigerdog · 13/02/2015 07:34

Bugger just wrote a long old post on my phone and lost it it.

In summary:

Remember Sophie B Hawkins (right beside you - I think that was her) she's preggers at 51 with eggs she froze 20 years ago!!

Smidge handholds for you, stay positive

happy amazing willpower. Everything tightly crossed and hopeful in this corner. Good luck for when you test.

barking good plan. You've been through a hell of a lot but I hope this is your time.

wild hope the scan goes well

jellie hope all is going well in Vienna / Prague

beaky hope you're enjoying your little pup. I keep thinking I just get a little dog buddy for my big dog...it would be so cute!

Friday whoop! Home tonight. Had a shitey day at work yesterday (honeymoon period ending although still loving it) so I'll glad to leave it behind for a few days.

barkingtreefrog · 13/02/2015 06:56

happy so you're effectively 16dpo now and you haven't pimped?! That's impressive will power that I certainly haven't got Everything crossed Thanks.

The consultant said back in March/April last year that now we'd started the iui/ivf there was no more waiting, we go from one cycle to the next if it doesn't work. It's just ridiculous that the ivf ends up being 11 months after the first iui as we had to wait so long to get the the tests after the second miscarriage. So given we were psyched up for all this happening a year ago it doesn't seem that quick to me!! Psychologically I need this to all be over by June, that's my 3.5 year cut off point and if I'm not pg by then we give up, jack in our jobs for 6 months and go travelling. When we come back we apply for adoption and start the waiting process again....

Smidge001 · 13/02/2015 00:18

Ah yes, that sounds familiar happy. I think I've had very similar symptoms the past couple of times - just with no let up on the pink/brown spotting. But I hope you'll be able to prove to us that the symptoms for positive and negative are just the same. 14dp5dt seems ridiculous, especially to keep going with the meds when you could easily find out if it's needed or not.

Just realised in my last post I said Beaky when I meant Barking - sorry got mixed up with the Bs!

happylass · 13/02/2015 00:08

'Finding it' not finishing!

OP posts:
happylass · 12/02/2015 23:21

Thanks ladies but finishing it so hard to muster any positivity about this! Smidge OTD is not until Monday (by which time I'll be 14dp5dt - ridiculous!). Not really decided when I'm going to test though. No spotting as such . Been having a brown CM for about a week but it's hardly anything now. Didn't bleed last time though until after the meds had stopped. Had cramps last week but they stopped on the weekend - exactly the same as last time. Had some last night too which made me suspect AF.
Barking exciting that you could get going so soon!

OP posts:
beakybeak · 12/02/2015 23:15

Oo cross posted there a fair bit! My clinic just dr for 3 weeks min with everyone then scan so Id had AF the week before my first scan. As Smidge says you still dr through the stimming phase too. I had my needles lesson in November and didn't start til jan Barking.

Smidge001 · 12/02/2015 23:03

Beaky My clinic starts down regging about CD22 of the cycle. The drugs lengthened my cycle a bit (though I'm normally 33 days anyway). I ended up doing a total of 27 down reg injections - 15 on their own, then another 12 whilst stimming.

beakybeak · 12/02/2015 22:51

Happy you never know! I will keep my arms legs fingers and toes crossed for you. I am really hoping this works for you.

That is really interesting re the amount of eggs/fertilisation rate. The outcome of a related article seemed to go with trying to preserve quality but of course with a disclaimer either way!

Barking my long protocol was almost 4 weeks downregging then a baseline scan then stimming for a week, scan, increased drugs as not much response then follow up scan then I would have been booked in for EC if there had been more than one follie Sad I think some people dr for less and some for more. Any q's just ask!
