The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

Oh lumen I think if there was a cat near by it would be sitting on your lap!! Still no sign of AF?! I would be getting v excited.. Can't you get a test tomorrow? Shops will be open!

I have a good feeling about this - how late are you? I know we are good at creating symptoms in our heads, but this is sounding real to me. Smile fingers crossed.

RevoltingPeasant · 26/12/2014 16:49

Just popping by to say congrats to nolly and there is a spare seat in the chopper when you are ready Grin

lumen · 26/12/2014 16:46

No news from me beaky, still no sign of AF but still at SILs so no testing until tomorrow. Have been feeling nauseous the past two days but think it is all in my head Hmm Will let you know when I test.

nolly3 · 26/12/2014 15:55

btw didn't realise we were birthday buddies too beaky! happy birthday! mines tomorrow

nolly3 · 26/12/2014 15:31

thanks guys! I love the names wild. told mr nol about them in the car as we were driving back home, much chortling was had. Rudolph? weird christmas day pretending to drink and being 'too full to eat cheese'

Obviously desperately hoping not tempting fate by even thinking about it

One minute am telling myself to relax and enjoy it, next minute googling 'early mc' as no symptoms for a while, beaky. mr nol is a real pragmatist so no comfort but on the other hand he's not a mentalist like me.

smidge I second what beaky said. insecurity is a tricky problem, but ultimately one he has to learn to manage himself. You've done nothing wrong.

happy I had the same chat from my MiL on christmas morning. For god's sake! just one day a year not thinking about it is hard enough, can't people mind their own bloody business and not ram it in your face ALL THE TIME

beakybeak · 26/12/2014 12:08

Oo Nolly yes! Loving Wilds name list! I'd add Gabriella and Hollie for a girl haha. I should have had a Christmassy name I suppose. Nol how's Mr Nol taken it all? Has it sunk in for you yet?

Wild how are things with you? You're starting in jan too right? Are you feeling ok about things? I'm quite nervous but excited. I've bought Zita Wests IVF book for my kindle so I'm going to read that in the next few days as we are off to the in laws.

HB how did your first stab go this time? Do you speak much Italian?

Tiger how was Christmas Day abroad?

Lumen any news from you? I am maintaining the crossed fingers/toes for you!

Hope everyone had a lovely prosecco and gin filled day! I got Hendricks from a good friend so may crack that open later Xmas Smile

WildflowerMarmalade · 26/12/2014 10:15

How did the downregging go, HB ?

Can't see why you got told off for speaking Italian to your DH's nonna. Is your accent truly terrible? Smile Christmas, hey?

HampshireBlues · 25/12/2014 19:08

OMG Nolly that's fantastic news. Congratulations!!!

Merry Christmas fellow berries, I hope it has been a peaceful one with lots of goodies!

I'm currently hiding upstairs at the inlaws psyching myself up to start down regging again having just been told off for saying merry Christmas in Italian to DHs Nonna....oh well!

See you on the other side! Xmas Smile

WildflowerMarmalade · 25/12/2014 11:27

Wowzers! Nolly that's brilliant news. I can hardly believe it. Did you get a visit from the angel Gabriel?
I have a list of names you can choose from: Gabriel / Gabrielle, Noel/ Noelle, Jesus, Holly, Rudolf, Santa. Let us know what you decide. Grin

Aw, Smidge , he is being a bit silly, frankly. Get on the outside if that port and don't let it spoil Christmas.

Tiger your descriptions of your holiday with in-laws is highly entertaining. Keep it coming. It sounds like you definitely have a free pass on Christmas with the rellies for a good few years.

Happy Birthday Beaky . Happy Christmas Berries one and all!

Smidge001 · 25/12/2014 08:43

Merry Christmas berries! And happy birthday beaky. I'm still comfy in bed, 'having to' wait for my turn in the bathroom!

beakybeak · 25/12/2014 08:24

Thank you Berries off to drink champagne to celebrate being 35 and of course, I can at this time of day haha!

Feather thank you, hope everything is going well with you! How far along now? You must be due soon!

Happy best of luck with the mil! Sounds like a tricky situation after her 'helpful' comments previously!

Hope all berries have a wonderful day today!Xmas Grin

FeatherFeather11 · 25/12/2014 08:12

Just dropping in to say a huge happy Christmas to all the berries and a happy birthday to beaky. Hoping that by this time in 2015, you're all in the chopper and beyond.

Also, congratulations on your Christmas miracle nolly! Grin

lumen · 25/12/2014 08:02

Merry Christmas berries and happy birthday beaky!

Pipbin · 25/12/2014 07:45

Merry berry Christmas one and all.

It's a bugger isn't it Happy. People mean well and are trying to help but they don't realise it makes you want to scream at them.

happylass · 25/12/2014 07:13

Merry Christmas Berries and Happy Birthday Beaky!!
Am currently in bed at the MILs having been awake since 5:30 as I'm full of the lurgy. Am going to have to wake DH up now so we can do the present swap and have 10 mins before our nephews and niece arrive. There's no way that DH will agree to getting up this early though so I'm going to have to tell him it's at least 8am mwahaha!!
Hoping to avoid last year's Christmas morning chat with MIL which went along the lines of relax, eat more sprouts and tilt your pelvis after sex and you'll be diffed in no time Blush. Actually last night she told me of a couple she knows that had been TTC for years then got diffed after they just 'forgot about it' and went on holidays to Thailand! Angry
Well have a lovely day all! Indulge in lots of fizz, pâté and smelly cheese!

I'll second that 'yay' for nolly!! God bless us everyone! Happy Christmas berriesXmas Grin

Pipbin · 24/12/2014 23:57

Yay Nolly - it's a Christmas miracle!

Smidge001 · 24/12/2014 21:56

Exactly beaky. I've always said I have nothing to hide so I'm not madly protective over my things/ emails/ photos etc so he is welcome to look - but seriously, why bother if you are going to get all insecure over it?! I certainly have no interest in sneaking into his stuff, but he's definitely one that can't leave things be, once he has an idea in his head. And clearly it hasn't done either of us any good as he's all worked up and now I'm all concerned too and it's ruining Christmas for both of us, for absolutely no good reason. Of course it is only because we are on opposite sides of the world - am sure a cuddle would sort it all out.

Pah.

Someone get me another glass of Port please Xmas Grin

beakybeak · 24/12/2014 20:32

Aww Smidge cross post! Sounds like a tough day for you both. I have a rule that I don't look, I don't ask and I don't need to know. I trust dh regardless but I think you can make stuff out of nothing if you are the tiniest bit insecure so it's not worth it. I hope he gets over it ASAP and enjoys Christmas and I hope you don't worry too much, there's nothing you can do about it. Hugs and Wine to you.

OttersPocket · 24/12/2014 20:30

Yay nolly! Another Xmas miracle!

Happy Christmas Berries, I've got my Dad and his wife and my sister coming for Xmas dinner. DH has spent the past few days in a fug of beer and has been utterly useless at helping me prepare. The next week will be spent visiting various family members all over the country, it's good to see folk but I really would like to hole up in my house and relax!

See you on the other side Smile

beakybeak · 24/12/2014 20:26

Woohoo Nolly am over the moon for you Xmas GrinXmas Grin

Tiger nightmare! Plenty of Christmas Day wine sounds good though.

Lumen hugs to you, and Wine still hopeful for you though!

Tammy I have those dreams too! Although as tiger says, not so much recently!

Hope everyone is enjoying Christmas Eve! I'm in wrapping hell but drinking too so who cares!

Smidge001 · 24/12/2014 20:25

Congrats nolly that's amazing!

Thanks everyone for your comments. I felt a lot better when I woke up this morning, and I'm sure you're right about my friend not wanting to tempt fate. And perhaps the sheer fact she specified that the birth was after some difficult times over the past few years does really suggest she must have been having trouble. So in fact I should be high giving her for ringing the difficulties out in the open etc. it was just that initial shock I think. Anyway, you're right, I will PM her and try to be tactfully inquisitive and maybe by letting her know I'm also struggling she may feel happy to disclose her own.

Anyway, as soon as one anxiety is over it seems I have walked straight into another. MrSmidge told me by text that he couldn't sleep as he had gone through all my old emails and discovered a whole bunch of stuff that he really wished he hadn't. It's ridiculous. Before his time, I'm totally not interested, and didn't even know there were any dodgy emails - I'm not a dwell on the past kind of person. He, on the other hand, won't get rid of pictures of old girlfriends...

Anyway, hems not slept for 2 nights and doesn't like the idea of me seeing my male friends while I'm back in England. Not in a telling me what to do way, so I'm not cross, but in a bit of a sad and pathetic anxious mess way. Poor thing, but really, i love him! I married him! I want to be with him!

I've told him so of course, but he does get a bit anxious when I'm away. He's a bit of a softy Smile

So now of course I've spent all day in a bit of a downer, and worrying about him, and feeling a bit miffed too as I don't want him to feel worried about me having make friends. Anyway, I thought i'd done well to turn it around when he asked me not to see one friend while I'm back (who actually isn't an ex or anything, we just worked together but he does have a very Pervy sense of humour so I don't doubt the emails would look dodgy) - I said fine this time but I wasn't going to stop being in touch with him, but in return he should get rid of his old wedding ring from the ex wife, for me!

Spoke to him over facetime just now though and he still looks very down in the dumps Sad
