Did anyone 'just know' they were pregnant before testing?

I've heard lots of people in real life mention that they 'just knew' they were pregnant. Did anyone on here feel that? And were the right or wrong??

I suspected with both my children and wasn't surprised at all, more 'thought so', but not sure I ever definitely 'knew' before testing.
I was however certain from the moment I found out that they were both girls, and they were.

Did anyone 'just know' and how often were you right or wrong?

with DS4 & DS5 I just knew the next morning

mumofmunchkin · 29/12/2014 18:07

I "knew" but only because we'd been trying and my period was a few days late, so the positive result wasn't a surprise.

Mrsgentle2014 · 29/12/2014 18:01

Christmas eve, I think? My cycle are a little out of whack at the moment... So I'm not entirely sure. But I'm now nearly 5 weeks since my last? But then I could have ovulated later?
Some bad back pain this evening and a bit of twingynpain on my left, but still clear discharge today.. Odd!?

Bustherb · 29/12/2014 17:32

That's what mine was like, I think i just bled more because we dtd and I always bleed a bit when dtd x when are you due?x

Mrsgentle2014 · 29/12/2014 09:50

I'm having period pain like cramping... Just no where near as bad as my usual though, bit of pinky discharge yesterday lunchtime and nothing since?

IBrokeTheInternetB4itWasCool · 29/12/2014 08:40

Congrats OP, that's definitely a positive! I just knew with my first. I did a test and it was negative (too early), and then I started getting 'period pains' (implantation) and I spent all weekend googling if you could have period pain and still be pregnant - yep! Got my bfp a few days later, but I just knew. xx

Bustherb · 29/12/2014 08:17

Mrs it was like a wipe and very pink stained discharge around 9 days before af was due, we dtd around this time too and I bled quite a lot, that was just pure red no clots or anything xxx

Mrsgentle2014 · 28/12/2014 23:52

bustherb - what was your implantation bleed like?? trying to work out what my 5 minute show was today??

Mrsgentle2014 · 27/12/2014 19:15

bustherb maybe I am?
My first pregnancy didn't show up positive until nearly 9 weeks... I've got a lot of waiting around! Will see how I feel in a week, I think? Something isn't right though?

Bustherb · 27/12/2014 18:57

Mrs gentle I was exactly the same when I had a negative, i even had implantation bleeding which the doctor dismissed as a possible early early misscarraige due to having a negative test. Xx

Mrsgentle2014 · 27/12/2014 18:49

I feel like this at the moment... I'm pretty adamant I am... My body just feels so Different! On top of this, my boobs are SO sore, I'm nauseous and absolutely shattered, vivid dreams.
BFN today, but something just does not feel right? X

Bustherb · 27/12/2014 18:44

I just knew even when I got a negative test at the doctors. A urine infection was masking a positive test and about 3 days later I got my positive. It strange really to just know xx

Beachmummy3 · 21/12/2014 22:20

:-)
I already have 3 dcs but these symptoms are completely new to me.

blueshoes · 21/12/2014 22:19

I never knew (until I tested) and never had any inkling about the sex.

Beachmummy3 · 21/12/2014 22:09

Hello, I go from 'just knowing' to thinking I'm crazy & it's in my head... Until today. I love poached eggs, only I gagged on one & the thought of finishing made me think I'd vomit..... Then, though I hate the smell anyway, dh came home from work & the smell of fags on him made me think I was going to throw up... Then he ate a bajhi (if eaten the same earlier and been fine with it) & I couldn't handle the smell of that either. He said 'you know you're pregnant don't you' in a matter of fact way.
Bfn but only 7-9 dpo if I did ovulate. Got 15cheapies left & a frer, so plenty to keeps going Smile

Twinmum94 · 20/12/2014 14:27

when i was pregnant with the twins i knew about a week before i could test. i had no symptoms but just a feeling. i had just miscarried, 3 weeks before so when i discussed the possiblity with dh he told me i was being stilly, a week later and i got my BFP!
i have the same feeling now but i keep getting invalid tests...

Galaxy2014 · 19/12/2014 18:53

The only symptom I had was I've felt really tired the past couple of weeks. (which isn't normal for me) Then I had the warning symptoms for AF which is sore boobs and cramps, however I took a cheap pregnancy test on Tuesday just to see and it came up with a 2nd faint line - I thought it was an evaporation line so then took another the next day. Same again - Then got a clear blue and it said I was 2 -3 weeks pregnant so obviously the tiredness was it.

Annoyingly still crampy so must be my body getting use to things and I'm bloating so a lesson to be learned is please don't all think AF symptoms means your not pregnant as in my case I was :)

bluewisteria · 19/12/2014 16:13

Oh wow, I'm thrilled for you!! Wheeee how exciting!!!

If I'm on a 28 day cycle then 31st Aug, but I'm anything from 28-31 days. I wasn't monitoring ovulation but I think it was 8th dec based on twinges but twinges didn't stop! Have terrible cramps still which is adding to my paranoia!!

That is definitely a line! Grin Congratulations!! Do you know when you ovulated? I've been temping so working based on ov day which was the 3rd my due date would be around 26/27th Aug. I'm so excited I can't believe it! We've been trying for 2 years for our 2nd baby Grin

batgirl1984 · 19/12/2014 15:28

My husband knew. I said he was wrong because I poas and it said I wasn't. He even told his best mate! A week later I broke up a banana for toddler DD and nearly vomited on her. I did another test as a formality.

bluewisteria · 19/12/2014 15:03

Here's the pic, I'm not imagining am I?!
I'm fairly certain the line is pink rather than evap.

Blanket!!! Congratulations! Do you know your 'due date'?
I think I'm 1st September... Eek!!! Can't believe it! My first two DD are Christmas babies so I assumed another would one along the same time of year!

BlanketOfStars · 19/12/2014 14:46

Don't worry Bluewisteria digitals are usually not as sensitive leave those for a few more days. If you have a 2nd line you are pregnant! Congratulations!! Grin

I got a BFP so that brings me up to 50% accuracy! I have to say the feeling I've had the times I was right have been much stronger.

bluewisteria · 19/12/2014 14:42

Ah that old Breastfeeding chestnut!!

Many congratulations though!

Exactly three months after birth of first child we had sex and I knew within the week I was pregnant. I'd been walking the pram in town and had to sit down, felt odd. Went to Boots and bought a twin tester. First test negative (too early), but second test done after another week was positive. Shocked as was breastfeeding and thought I'd be safe Shock. Second child born two weeks before first's 1st birthday.
