Well as the title says :) I've chosen the worst time to get my act together and start my diet (again!!) I'm well overweight, in fact in classed as obese so I need to lose a tonne of weight. I know I need to be a healthy weight to conceive so there isn't much more of a motivator than the hope if a BFP :) I'm just counting calories until Christmas Eve (when we have our traditional Xmas eve meal of good old McDonalds!) and then back on track on the 27th when I will be returning to Slimming World.
If anyone fancies joining me, or even just to give me a kick up the arse, feel free :)

Hi spam 13/09/2015

spamanderson · 08/01/2015 16:25

Yippee Congrats itsangri Do you know what your EDD is?
I know honey I love being self employed as no-one can tell me how to dress and I don't hae to ask permission for piercings etc BUT I am going to miss having SMP :( I'm hoping to take about 6 months off or with only 1 or 2 choice orders a month once I feel up to it but that's going to be tough on the old bank account!

fieldfare · 08/01/2015 10:11

Poco I'm so sorry for your loss.

Well done to everyone who's weighed in! I had a sneaky weigh, as not due to do it til Monday, and af is due, but I'm 4lb down. All water and the food that was in my system I suppose but yay anyway.

honeysucklejasmine · 08/01/2015 09:14

I hear you Spam, I'm self employed too. Annoying isn't it? And huge congratulations on your loss!

itssangriaoclock · 08/01/2015 08:35

Well done spam.

I still don't have scales but going to inlaws later that do

spamanderson · 08/01/2015 08:08

Well done beanbag and 21
Weigh in today at -4 lbs :D I'm chuffed with as I only started on the 2nd :) not to mention I bloated and puffy as hell already. This is going to be a loooong 9 months :)
4lbs down, 92lbs to go!

honey There's 1 lady I know in the area who I could speak to but it's up to the customer who they go to :( I think all I can do is refund their deposit and maybe offer to advertise on my page for another cake maker for her? Grrr, got someone requesting a date 2 days before my due date... Trying to come up with a reason I can't do their date! I suppose I'll have to be 'fully booked'.... God I hate turning business away! Business income is not going to be good this tax year! Being employed is do much easier :/

Morning everyone! I'm still at 0, but I didn't start properly until Monday 5th, so am not too disappointed. Diet is going well, especially as DH in on board too after having a nasty shock when he got on the scales! Well done to all those who've lost weight. Let's keep this going!

honeysucklejasmine · 08/01/2015 07:30

Welcome poco. Sorry about mc. Sad We're all in this together so come on in.

Well done 21! That's fantastic! And Bean and Mindful... Everyone is doing so well! Yay! Grin

We can go the distance! Grin

Hi all and welcome to the new joiners,
I have lost 2 pounds since the NYD weigh-in. I'm very glad but wish it was coming off more quickly in this initial stage given that I gained a few pounds at Christmas and thought it might all be the famous 'water weight'...but then, I haven't been as strict as I was planning to.
Really interested to hear that some of you are doing the 5:2. My DH is doing that but I thought it might mess with my hormones and that it wasn't ideal for TCC. All anecdotal though - has anyone found anything detailed about it? Maybe one day of fasting at a time is too little to put you into "starvation mode". Is anyone 'windowing' their food to eat between particular times (e.g. 12-8pm?) which I thought might be a less intense version?
My news is that I had a load of blood tests done last week to find out why AF hasn't come back since stopping the pill in July. Turns out 'everything' is normal (which is unexpected given my previous diagnosis of PCOS) except for my prolactin which is massively raised. I see the GP next week and then there'll refer me to someone (endocrinologist? not sure). Really not sure what that means for my overall health or TCC. :( Trying not to google too much but I've read some semi-encouraging stuff on these forums.
Hope you all have lovely days.

Beanbag41 · 08/01/2015 07:19

pocopearl welcome. Hope 2015 is your year.

Well done to everyone. Whatever the result you're all doing brilliantly. Xx

Hi popopearl sorry about the mc. I'm found myself so motivated since joining this thread so hopefully will be the same for you.

21questions · 08/01/2015 06:36

Lauraqc · 07/01/2015 22:42

Evening ladies

Felt crap all day but done wonders for diet! Practically can't wait to weigh in on fri now!

pocopearl · 07/01/2015 22:40

Hi can i join? i need to lose 4 stone :( ttc for 15 months with a mc so desperate to lose the weight.

MindfulBear · 07/01/2015 22:22

Congrats on the successes so far! I'm still at zero, which is good news!! Hope to stay that way until the return to work next Wednesday.
Sadly DH is then away for a month or 2

Gosh I'm also a 34G & quite frankly cannot cope with the idea of them increasing if we do have a DC#2... Crikey. Must. Lose weight!!

honeysucklejasmine · 07/01/2015 22:10

Do you know someone else in the business you could transfer them to?I'm sure they'll understand, and not want to risk no cake because you were in labour!

spamanderson · 07/01/2015 22:01

Well thankfully after a few years you don't smell them anymore! I'm hoping it doesn't turn into a trigger smell :/ the on,y problems I'm having at the mo is that I just cannot concentrate at all! I have a dilemma... I have a wedding cake booked in for about 2 weeks after my due date and they've paid a deposit... Not entirely sure how I'm going to get out if that as I always overcook my babies and even if I didnt, I'm not going to feel like doing a wedding cake with a newborn :/ argh!

OP posts:
honeysucklejasmine · 07/01/2015 21:36

You make cakes? How do you resist? And how do you cope when feeling sick?

spamanderson · 07/01/2015 20:47

He he, I'm saggy fitted already boooooooo. But I went from flat chested to massive in no time at all at age 8/9, so I think that's why. Being pregnant is awesome when the bump helps keeps your boobs up! He he! I remember moaning once my bump went with dd2, I moaned to the midwife that the gravity got to my boobs again :D I'd love mine to get smaller as I do but it's not happened so far so not holding out much hope. In fact, I don't think I've ever gone down a bra size before! Always up!
Most embarrassing thing, I was being measured in a famous shop for the bigger boobed ladies and chatted to the girl about my business, she asked for a card and said ooooh I'm booked in to see you next week! FFs that was an uncomfortable consultation! I'm sitting there thinking omg she's seen me half naked and now I'm chatting cake with her :/ mortified!!

OP posts:
honeysucklejasmine · 07/01/2015 20:30

I'm a 38E/F and that's more than enough for me. I wonder if they will stay big as i get smaller? saggy tits ahoy!
