Well as the title says :) I've chosen the worst time to get my act together and start my diet (again!!) I'm well overweight, in fact in classed as obese so I need to lose a tonne of weight. I know I need to be a healthy weight to conceive so there isn't much more of a motivator than the hope if a BFP :) I'm just counting calories until Christmas Eve (when we have our traditional Xmas eve meal of good old McDonalds!) and then back on track on the 27th when I will be returning to Slimming World.
If anyone fancies joining me, or even just to give me a kick up the arse, feel free :)

Hello, please can I join you? I lost over two stone after the birth of dd at the end of 2012 but a stone has crept back on and I want to lose it now! First month ttc #2 after a mc at the start of December at 11 weeks pg.

I'm trying to stick to around 1500 kcal per day to lose weight gradually and healthily and obviously not interfere with ovulation. Doing plenty if exercise as I cycle everywhere including to work 3 days a week. Does that sounds sensible overall? Really don't want to harm chances of conception.

Wanted to weigh myself this morning but scales aren't working so will get a new battery this week. This time last week I was just under 11 stone. Going to have a read back now!Smile

I have done blue. DH and the dds love them but they had to be unhealthy chips today, I near enough started chewing on DH, no way I could've waited for them to be prepared and cooked, I would have passed out from hunger ok not likely but you get the idea

I'm the same honey one day off and it all goes to pot

bluewisteria · 09/01/2015 21:05

Spam do you make SW chips? Totally delish and free!

honeysucklejasmine · 09/01/2015 20:33

I bought a pack of mikado today. 1/2 syn each, about 30 in a pack. They are my treat.

I can't have days off. I end up having another, then another, then it may as well be a week off right?, etc. I have no willpower to resume. Smile

21questions · 09/01/2015 20:06

I had a large glass of red for my treat tonight really enjoyed it and managed to stop at one Wine

itssangriaoclock · 09/01/2015 18:00

That's true spam the baby needs a day and you need one too lol

spamanderson · 09/01/2015 17:45

Thanks sangria I'm thinking if I do at least 5 strict days a week, I can have some treats at the weekend. I figured if I can aim for 1lb loss a week for the next 35 weeks when dc3 is due, I will have made a good start on getting to goal. But tbh as long as I don't get any heavier than I am right now, I'll be pretty happy :)

Well done toots for getting the ball rolling.

Spam I've always believed that you can have one day out of 7 for a treat. Whether it's a slice of cake with coffee or a sneaky take away. As long as you are strict the other 6.

spamanderson · 09/01/2015 14:44

I've been so good, no treats during the last week, everything has been a 'free' food on SW etc but today I am saying NO to baked beans and cucumber sticks. Tonight for my dinner, I shall be eating a mahoosive plate of chips drowning in vinegar. I'm sure I will feel incredibly guilty about it afterwards but I really want them!

Hello all! Sorry for the long story but I am a little upset and over whelmed! After my initial Keeness a while back I decided to renovate the house to distract myself - no idea where I put the scales ok under the stairs but hard to dig out so not weighing .

I actually got my ass to the gp and told her how sw didn't seem to work despite really trying and , only two af since aug, my hair is falling out in clumps ( hairdresser even commented) and I am exhausted and my skin is so bad my facial lady turned me away until I saw my dr!

Shocked as My gp was so nice! Never met her before and despite only ttc since aug when I came off the pilll she wanted to investigate - am 31. So blood test now booked in for thyroid, pcos, hormones and vit d and anaemia . Wow.

And I was told caffeine is terrible for ttc and to sleep more. And cut animal red protein and carbs a bit. Oh and sugar. Am sitting here in shock drinking tea oh and bmi was 27. She said being active was far more important than bmi for those of you chatting about it.

Goodness. Well at least the ball is rolling.

I am utterly so motivated and impressed with the weight lost and Maintained ladies - just after xmas too!!!

Once I get my scales I will be a dedicated girl to this thread!!

Woop!

My first weigh in today since going back to exercise and the 5:2 on Monday and have lost just shy of 3lb. I'll take that. Now just have to stay focused over the weekend.

Congratulations Sangria!

21questions · 08/01/2015 22:10

Well done to everyone on their losses at weigh in today and congrats sangria on your bfp.

honeysucklejasmine · 08/01/2015 20:01

Spam we do still get something, as long as you pay NI contributions in the 16 weeks leading up to mat leave. But yes, not as much. I plan on being a SAHM so going to have to get used to being poor. Trying to save as much of my salary as possible at the moment.

bluewisteria · 08/01/2015 18:18
