Well as the title says :) I've chosen the worst time to get my act together and start my diet (again!!) I'm well overweight, in fact in classed as obese so I need to lose a tonne of weight. I know I need to be a healthy weight to conceive so there isn't much more of a motivator than the hope if a BFP :) I'm just counting calories until Christmas Eve (when we have our traditional Xmas eve meal of good old McDonalds!) and then back on track on the 27th when I will be returning to Slimming World.
If anyone fancies joining me, or even just to give me a kick up the arse, feel free :)

Hello newbies! Welcome Takes. Hi pud, fellow shagger!

I am visiting with a relative in a hospital at the moment, so its whatever we can get at the shop for food? I got jacket and beans and bits from salad bar that weren't covered in mayonnaise. So pretty pleased. Had pasta and pesto for dinner at sisters house (who lives locally) so not doing too badly. Last time this relative was in hospital, I put back on the 3 and a half stone I had just lost, so trying too stay with it now!

Hobbit19 · 21/01/2015 07:30

Hi ladies, I'm joining you if that's okay? Haven't got loads to lose, about 6lb, but they are a very stubborn 6lb! I also need to desperately get fit before I get preggers, mu Mum beat me in a 5k 'race' recently!! I keep my IBS under control by eating loads of veg so my meals are pretty healthy, but I am a very bad snack fiend - no longer!! Joining the gym tomorrow. Planning to be really strict with myself and try to lose this in 3 weeks. Good luck ladies!!

TakesTwoToTango · 20/01/2015 17:39

Hi ladies, can I join you for some solidarity?? I'm about to start ttc dc3 and had 2 st to lose to get back to my pre-pg weight before dc2 (2.5 to get back to my ideal). I started dieting on 5 Jan and so far I'm -9lbs so I'm pretty pleased with that but now in week three I'm starting to flag and need as much moral support as possible. I figure telling you all my goal will help keep me on the straight and narrow Grin

jellypi3 · 20/01/2015 09:49

You ladies are all doing amazingly. I've not stepped on the scales since weigh in, so have no idea how I am doing. However, i've been really bad on the eating front (but much better on the excercise front, done 4 sessions of the 30 day shred, went for a 5k run and went back to football on sunday). Today I've got a salad sandwich and fruit for lunch so much healthier than recently. So gonna weigh in this weekend (and expecting gain but or static but hopefully not too much gain). Want to lose 5kg by March!

SpamAnderson · 20/01/2015 08:16

Weighed today and have lost another lb :) I think it's preggy related as I've been eating some naughty stuff included chocolate and stuff from the hot counter yesterday but I think it's because I'm getting full really quick so I'm probably not eat as much as I normally would!
Now at -5 since the 2nd of Jan :) if I can keep losing 1lb a week from now to my due date I'll be a very happy, not high risk pregnancy and will be able to use the midwife lead unit :D

Thanks 21. I have adapted my little plaque to say how many weeks its been so I can keep calm when they don't move much.

21questions · 19/01/2015 17:05

Honey you are doing really well and I understand you are a bit disappointed it has been a slow week but your overall total is great in 3 weeks. Smile

honeysucklejasmine · 19/01/2015 12:45

Don't worry, I'm not going to quit. Just a bit miffed. Thank you for your support.

jellypi3 · 19/01/2015 12:07

honey you're doing amazing woman! don't let it get you down. You have already lost more than is classed as "healthy" to lose, you are doing so well!

dojo123 · 19/01/2015 11:12

honey you're doing amazingly well so don't put yourself down. I find 3 weeks is generally when I wobble so stick at it. I haven't lost any more since my mid week weigh so feeling a bit blergh. Also I've got laryngitis so all I want to do is eat ice cream to sooth my throat, luckily I haven't got any in freezer! Grin

honeysucklejasmine · 19/01/2015 08:14

Although it's only been three weeks so prob should feel better about it.

honeysucklejasmine · 19/01/2015 08:12

Right, down another 1.5lb from last week which makes -12.75lb in total.

I am annoyed that it has slowed down, so will be adjusting slightly. Grrr. Angry

MrsGingerbread · 19/01/2015 07:45

Another 2lbs off for me today. Pleased with that as it makes 9lbs since I started two weeks ago.

It has cheered me up a bit as the witch arrived yesterday (never sure if that helps or hinders weight loss!)

honeysucklejasmine · 18/01/2015 20:15

Yes sounds sensible MrsG.

I am going to be very frustrated tomorrow if it remains the same again. Info SW, and don't use ANY syns, there's no way I can only have lost 3/4lb (three quartets, not three or four) in a week! Angry

MrsGingerbread · 18/01/2015 19:01

I'm trying to stick to Mondays and Thursdays for weighing in. That seems to be working fine for me as it is never too far away.

21questions · 18/01/2015 18:45

I've been out for a 3 course meal this evening. Hope it doesn't blow my whole week for weigh in.

Honey I sometimes do a sneaky weigh in mid week and I always weigh more than when I officially weigh in. I think it can fluctuate quite a bit that's why you should only weigh in once per week

itssangriaoclock · 18/01/2015 15:36

Stayed the same. Really want to try and get some weight off before I get to the size of a house in pregnancy.

Try again this week

honeysucklejasmine · 18/01/2015 15:12

Same, again! ARGH! trying to look on bright side

Ainat266 · 17/01/2015 22:45

Hey honey Grin

Weighing the same is better than gaining... but tut tut for standing on the scales every morning I would never do that, honest...

This morning I was back down to my pre-Christmas weight, so yay. Stepping in the right direction. Even if I had to correct the backwards steps.

honeysucklejasmine · 17/01/2015 22:35

Hi Ain! Good to see you!

I weighed the same today as yesterday! To the nearest 0.25lb! How, I ask you? Officially weighing in on Monday so need to stop ju!ping on the scales every morning. although it motivates me for the day if it's not gone down

Ainat266 · 17/01/2015 22:34

Thank you for the welcome gingerbread.

I was trying to 5:2 for a bit, but the doctor suggested that a low carb diet would be better due to the effects of pcos.
