Well as the title says :) I've chosen the worst time to get my act together and start my diet (again!!) I'm well overweight, in fact in classed as obese so I need to lose a tonne of weight. I know I need to be a healthy weight to conceive so there isn't much more of a motivator than the hope if a BFP :) I'm just counting calories until Christmas Eve (when we have our traditional Xmas eve meal of good old McDonalds!) and then back on track on the 27th when I will be returning to Slimming World.
If anyone fancies joining me, or even just to give me a kick up the arse, feel free :)

Welcome midwinter and Laura.

Laura do you think you will need ivf? Sad Or is it a better safe than sorry sort of thing?

Either way, we're in it together!

jellypi3 · 04/01/2015 09:37

All i can say is 30 day shred....ouch!

Lauraqc · 03/01/2015 20:49

Count me in. I need to lose 2st to be in

itssangriaoclock · 03/01/2015 20:29

Midwinternights welcome. I love your phrase "my happy weight"

I'm going to adopt it.

To get my bmi to normal I need to lose 16lb but my happy weight would be 23lb ish.

Can't weight for nxt thurs to see all our results.

Was at a birthday party today, resisted nibbling at the party food. Our house is still full of chocolate, luckily I'm not a really chocolate person sweets, savoury stuff and portion size is my downfall.

Start strong ladies

midwinternights · 03/01/2015 20:24

Hello

We're not going to start TTC until the end of the year but I'm looking at shifting a few pounds beforehand. We got married at the end of the summer and I have managed to put on almost a stone since then! My first goal is to lose half a stone by March, which will put me back in the healthy weight category as my BMI is now around 26, and then focus on getting back to my happy weight.

Good luck everyone!

honeysucklejasmine · 03/01/2015 08:14

Welcome Elektra. Have no fear, we will keep you focussed!

Elektra83 · 02/01/2015 23:27

Hello all, can I join please?

We have been trying on/off for about a year with not even a snifter of a bfp. I'd like to lose about 3 stones/20kg and did lose half a stone in November - I reckon I have put that back on though.

It's definitely the food thing for me, I exercise every week and it's usually HIIT sessions so definitely makes me sweat. I just struggle with the protein side of things (I'm veggie). I've been trying to focus on increasing the protein rather than on cutting things out but Christmas has thrown everything out of the window!

I'm going to start afresh on Monday and will hopefully clear the junk food out/give away the chocolate so that I'm not tempted!

I just have a tendency to give up easily :-( (I think I did that with the ttc tbh!)

I can't do SW etc, I did lighter life a few years ago and it messed with my head...I find myself eating as if I won't get any food tomorrow so need to work on that!

kezaroo · 02/01/2015 22:31

With not wig Blush

kezaroo · 02/01/2015 22:30

Hey there honey!

I've had a good day, I haven't gone over my calories and I've been really active. Didn't have any breakfast though and made up for that by having a huge risotto tea (wig chorizo, so high in cals).
Aching from head to toe, but going to try and do at least half hour exercise a day.

honeysucklejasmine · 02/01/2015 21:53

Hey Kez!

Been an alright day today. Had some double cream with my sugar free jelly (I know!) but otherwise was very virtuous.

Made a slimming world sweet and sour today. Not half bad!

kezaroo · 02/01/2015 19:02

8th is good for me! X

Pixa · 02/01/2015 18:17

Devastated*

Pixa · 02/01/2015 18:16

L1D1 of the shred done. Devestated about how much harder it was this time round. I have gained weight recently, but didn't realise how unhealthy I was.

So pleased we have this thread and motivation! Let's get healthy ready for our upcoming BFPs and bumps ladies! Smile

itssangriaoclock · 02/01/2015 17:58

The 8th is our first weigh in x

spamanderson · 02/01/2015 17:52

Oh Lake I'm so sorry for your loss.
DH has suggested fish and chips for dinner to 'celebrate'... Blooming man! Have not caved though, I'm having jacket potato, beans and salad :)
Are we doing a set weighing day or just weighing on our own days?

Yay congrats spam what a great start to our thread Smile Lovely news.

I feel so motivated by all of you I just know we are going to be successful. Had a good day food wise, managed to avoid the chocs at work and just making Quorn spag bol for our tea.

Sorry you had a rubbish 2014 lake. I hope 2015 treats you better.

kezaroo · 02/01/2015 16:41

And congratulations spam!

kezaroo · 02/01/2015 16:39

I'm in! (Sorry, realised op was done mid December)

I've started today on my fitness pal app and I'm also taking part in the dryathlon for cancer research. Pretty sure cutting out alcohol for a month will have some kind of positive effect!

My aim is 3 stone, with first target being 1 stone by March.

Good luck all! Will keep checking back for updates and post up how I'm doing!

bluewisteria · 02/01/2015 16:12

Congratulations Spam, that's really wonderful!!!

Beanbag41 · 02/01/2015 14:38

Ah congratulations Spam Smile brilliant news!

Lake, that is terrible news! I'm so sorry you've been through that, I can't imagine how you begin to cope. Hope 2015 brings you all the happiness in the world

As for me, went for a long walk with kids and even resisted sharing a slice of cake with them. Feeling much more positive with you all!

honeysucklejasmine · 02/01/2015 14:17

Congrats Spam!

So sorry to hear that Lake. Flowers You have a great attitude and congratulations on being so close to pre pregnancy weight.

tootsroots · 02/01/2015 13:36

Pixa · 02/01/2015 13:34

LakeofDreams Flowers. I love the 'new year, new attitude and new determination' Smile

So, my exercise regime hasn't started yet! It will do later today. I am having a lovely chana masala for tea, and I have raspberry and vanilla overnight oats, with chia seeds, in the fridge, ready for breakfast tomorrow.

McFunky · 02/01/2015 13:20

Congrats spamanderson, what a lovely way to start the year :)

LakeOfDreams · 02/01/2015 12:01

Hey I'd love to join this sounds exactly what I need to keep me motivated in 2015. I have a lot to lose, I lost about 5 stone just through healthy eating but over about two years I regained 3 stone. In an ideal world I'd like to lose about 6 stone but I have a whole range of little goals. My first is to get back to my pre pregnancy weight which is only a few more pounds away. Then I want my BMI to get down to 30 (currently 34.2)

I had a really crap 2014 after the stillbirth of our PFB in August. New year, new attitude and new determination to be healthier and TTC #2.
