Oh Ducky, that's very sad It must be a very difficult time of year for you, and even harder having to worry about your DS as well It will get better though, and easier with each year. And as soon as DS is better, I'm sure you'll feel better and begin to have some lovely times with him.

Cupcake, it sounds so stressful having to organise your friend's hen do! Her other friends sound awful! I really feel for you. I've only been to one hen do before and it was dreadful. The theme was Angels and Devils (you can imagine!) and we went out in Nottingham too and ended up at Liberties! LIBERTIES!!! At least it's burnt down now so no fear of you ending up in there on your friend's hen do (although I suppose there are plenty of equally grimy places that her friends will drag you to!) If she asked you to organise it, her friends should just let you get on with it and stop interfering. If I were you, I'd refuse to wear the silly tutu thing, or wear jeans with it! I'm sure your friend will understand.

I'm getting concerned about my weight. I didn't put any on in the first two trimesters, but now it's slowly creeping up on me. A pair of jeans that I was wearing a month ago don't fit any more. I really don't want to go up a whole dress size (or more!), but I can hardly exercise at the moment what with the PGP and now feeling exhausted all the time from lack of iron. I haven't even got out of my pyjamas today! I've been trying to find out exercise that you can do with PGP but it looks like I'll have to be referred to a chiropractor before starting anything, which will probably take a while!

I think I'm going through a hard time anyway which is making me more anxious about everything. It's my daughters birthday next week

I have my friends strict instructions for my hen do in terms of style. Cocktails and tailored dresses, they did well. Booked a lovely hotel in the centre of where we lived at the time, I had a massage there then we all got ready to go to a nice classy cocktail place. We had a class in cocktail making there, dinner, followed by a bit of a dance in a more living place a few doors down.

They included some typical hen bits in at dinner, managed to get my DH to answer a bunch of questions before that I had to guess his answers (stereotypically embarrassing but was good fun). Rounded up with a night in the hotel which was just a short walk away, they knew I hate walking around.

I'm hopeful that I'll be able to shrink down after birth, I lost a stone in the first trimester and I think without the bump I'm smaller now than I was. Going to buy a belly bandit to help bring everything back in quickly,

I lost weight after ds and have carried on loosing it, think it's all the stress

I feel like I've not had chance to really enjoy him. Although he's miles better than he was he's still off his food and has an awful cough that's making him sick when he does eat but I suppose there's nothing I can do now, he's been seen by the GPS,HV and two hospitals so surely they can't be wrong.

I organised my own hen do, I think it's a bit cruel getting someone to do it for you because it's so stressful! I went to a medieval banquet at a really fancy hall, it was all candle lit and was really fun.

I hate hen do's - didn't have one and never go on them. Can't think of much worse really. I hate weddings - avoid them unless absolutely necessary. Can just about cope with the odd night time do. Particularly hate hugely expensive very fussy weddings where you stand around for hours waiting while the fuss happens. I get bored silly. DH is the same.We just turn down invitations.

I think I am lighter because I really did try to eat healthily and do lots of walking. I need to lose weight. I didn't put much on at all but I think that was because I was losing fat which masked it a bit. I walk DS every day, sometimes 5 + miles which must be doing me good. And I am making lots of vegetable soups.

DH meanwhile put half a stone on while I was pregnant. Good job he is tall and well built.

We are going to PIL tomorrow afternoon until Friday morning- as long as DS copes. The fuss over what to take! Perfect Prep is going with us and steriliser. Moses basket, pram, car seat, baby chair, mat. It is like packing for a holiday not two days.

He has been a little sweetie today- quite a few smiles. He is 4 weeks old tomorrow. Can't believe it. My jelly belly is going down. Am still not my own shape yet- not that it was much to write home about! Weigh 4lbs less than when I got pregnant.

Lil you only have to do it if your at risk of pg diabetes or you have a family history of diabetes I think

Why do you have to do it? Does everyone have to have that test in pregnancy?
The midwife called me today to tell me I've got low iron levels. I'm quite relieved because I've been so dozy and tired recently, I thought it was just a 3rd trimester thing, but glad it's something that can be sorted. There's still loads to do to get our new house tarted up, and I'm just too exhausted to do any of it!

I couldn't do the test because I vomitted the lucozade up. So apparently you have to start over. I drank two cup fulls and was on my final cup and I could feel it was really gassy and my stomach felt full. It's really a horrible test, never going to end well making a pregnant lady fast then have blood taken, then drink loads of fizzy sugary stuff on an empty stomach

Siarie low blood pressure is horrible it kept happening to me when I was in labor and it's vile it made me violently sick and dizzy. Were they unable to do the test because of it?

Oh no Siarie, poor you! I hope you manage to eat something and feel better soon.

Good thing you see able to pickup on your mood changes lulu, the fact you can puts you in good standing for picking up anything early.

I had my glucose test this morning but it all went shockingly wrong. Had my blood taken but it stopped coming out so the Dr had to swap arms. Then I started feeling faint, I haven't fainted after a blood test for years, everything started going weird and the Dr put the seat flat.

I could hear her saying things talking to me but just couldn't think to respond. Or squeeze her hand, I guess all the blood to my brain went weird. She took my blood pressure and it was low, probably a mix of having to fast for the test and pregnancy.

I felt ok eventually but then while trying to drink my lucozade it all came back up! Lots luckily went in the sick bowl but it came out at speed so some went on me and the floor. I have to do it all again next Monday. Just crap, my hands feel weak now like I can't squeeze them tight.
