Cupcake try and think of it like this. Every baby is a new blueprint being tested out for the first time, nothing you do is going to change the outcome (obviously avoid any of the recommended know foods and advice) but other than that what will be will be.

When you think about it worrying isn't changing anything, it's not useful to you and adding to the stress isn't good for either of you. I don't know if that helps but it certainly helped me.

For every scan I've just thought, well if this baby doesn't have the right instructions then I can't expect it to be built properly and that's that. Just have to wait and see.

Ducky23 · 18/12/2014 09:48

I hate it when people are like that Hmm they do baby massage and things like that, they have ones where they just put loads of toys on the floor and let them play. Won't be until after x mas some time but I like the midwife who does them so would prefer that to the HV clinics

Cupcake92 · 18/12/2014 09:32

Yeah I don't think its compulsory, it's just to check weights being gained well. What kind of baby class is it?
I never did any classes with Ds because the women there kept telling me how I should be raising DS because I was "young"

Hahaha oh god!! His deformed head?!? I'm not going to go to the other weigh ins and stuff Shock apparently she might be funny about it but midwife said you don't hae to, I can get him weighed at baby class, and also the weigh ins are all done at the gp place I lost dd so I will just say that to her Confused

Cupcake92 · 18/12/2014 08:58

I had cramps last time but a lot of them literally everyday, so just worried me it was a sign things are going wrong. Can't wait for this scan lol got too get through Xmas and New Years first.

Ducky the health visitor is usually worse when u go to baby clinic to visit and get baby weighed. The home visit isn't too bad if I'm honest it's more asking whether Ur coping okay if u want advice and just checking baby is well. My HV, when I went to baby clinic, DS was about 6 months old and she told me I needed to book an appppintment with my GP asap as DS's head was apparently far too big for his body!! And said something could be seriously wrong with him!! Obv it terrified me ! Saw my doctor and he went mental saying that HV needs sacking and that DS's head is a perfect size! I had to give him her name and everything as he was going to get her personally sacked! lol! N he was angry as she had wrote on DS's red book "discussed concerns about his deformed head"
That's in there for life now and he wasn't plwased about it neither was I!!!

Oh and yep I noticed dummies were a god send too!! Grin DS stopped using his dummy just after his 1st bday all by himself tho, sometimes wish he still had it to calm him down!

I had cramps too cupcake for quite a few weeks.

Have te health visitor today and I'm scared! You hear so many bad things about them! They're supposedly like the devil!! Hoping it goes ok Confused

Realised last night dummies are absolutely amazinG! Got the most sleep I've had last night thanks to them! Grin

LuluJakey1 · 18/12/2014 06:04

Try not to worry Cupcake. I had cramps until I was about 10 weeks- just felt like AF was about to arrive all the time. Not getting sleep doesn't help with worrying either.

Cupcake92 · 18/12/2014 04:41

Lulu a burst energy towards the end of pregnancy can sometimes mean labour is about to happen! :)

21 I hope u get that BFP this month! When are u due for testing?

I've woken up at 4:30am and thrown up Angry looks like I won't be escaping the Ms monster! But I'm now lay here and have some cramps and it's worrying me Sad I knew there would come a point where I would start to worry but I was hoping it wouldn't be just yet. so I'm just sitting up in bed for a bit to see if it goes. It seems to be easing off.

Congratulations on your girl Siarie :)

LuluJakey1 · 17/12/2014 23:00

See consultant and midwife tomorrow afternoon.

LuluJakey1 · 17/12/2014 22:59

I am full of energy today. Can't understand why. Have done loads of work, been shopping tonight, had a bath and made DH work hard to persuade me to DTD. Xmas Grin

He is now looking rather smug and sleepy whereas I am wide awake.

Needless to say, he didn't stay awake last night incase I went into labour. He slept like a log. I could have given birth next to him and he wouldn't have woken up.

Siarie · 17/12/2014 11:30

Thanks Ducky, the was my final milestone in my head before I can accept that everything's developing ok. I know there are still risks but that scan is a big relief.

Lulu I think I felt BH a few weeks ago, seemed a bit early for me though but it was like what you've said tightenings. How much longer have you got now?

Cupcake How are you feeling? Really glad you've got your BFP so quickly
Again. You know what with Duckys little one making an escape we needed another pregnant lady to take place

Ducky23 · 17/12/2014 11:16

Bless him lulu! He will stay awake just incase GrinGrinGrin

Congratulations siarie!!! GrinGrinGrin

Siarie · 17/12/2014 11:09

Just quickly posting (will read up in a bit), had my 20 week scan today and all is well. They also confirmed the sex as a girl, so feeling confident that is right now.

21+2

LuluJakey1 · 16/12/2014 22:41

Anyway, I have got lots to do at work before I leave so baby can't come this week.

I need to be there by 7.15 tomorrow to get things done before my team meeting. One of my staff is off this week- exhausted Hmm His wife says he is too exhausted to set work for his classes so I am doing that. I took his bottom set in with my class today rather than them have a supply teacher who looked about 75. They would have eaten him whole. I sent him to get himself a cup of tea. He looked relieved. Grin

LuluJakey1 · 16/12/2014 22:35

I'm sure it isn't anything significant but it is strange when it happens. DH thinks he will stay awake 'just incase' Xmas Hmm

I'm not staying awake. I hardly slept last night and did a 12 hour stint at work. Am planning on a good night's sleep.

'I'll stay awake Lu incase you go into labour and I'll wake you up.' Does he think I won't know? Xmas Confused

Ducky23 · 16/12/2014 21:37

Sounds like bh lulu, if you are worried time how often they are coming.
But I think if anything was happening you would feel it Wink

Cupcake92 · 16/12/2014 21:31

I am lying on the sofa watching 'The Missing' and I am having those tightenings again. DH can feel them if he puts his hands on the bump. It is an odd feeling but not painful, just tightenings.

Am I practising?
