Tmi alert!

I don't think that was AF the other week, had stringy red blood for about two days but only when wiping. Nothing since. Ds is 8 weeks now, when do you think I would need to ask gp? I would have thought with bottle feeding they would be back by now. With dd I got first AF 3 weeks after birth Shock

LuluJakey1 · 01/02/2015 21:21

I must be getting old. DH was all romantic and fancied an early night. I said no because I wanted to watch 'Last Tango in Halifax'. I am sitting with my furry slippers, dressing gown and a mug of tea with my feet under the blanket on the sofa.

Cupcake92 · 01/02/2015 21:03

Oo that's good Ducky well done DS! :) my DS woke at 4am this morning and is still up now im struggling to get him to sleep :(

Oh Lulu, how nice of DH at such a difficult time for u. Flowers must be hard, but as Ducky said she'd be very proud of u.

Lill I think it's just being pg that makes u so tired. Lol all that energy to grow a baby :)

Oh lulu, it must be a difficult time for you. Your dm would be very proud of you x

Lil I was very anemic Confused I think it's just pg in general makes you exhausted, I think it was from about 30 weeks the tiredness really kicked in with me. Rest as much as you can

LuluJakey1 · 01/02/2015 18:49

It was a year yesterday since my lovely mum died. I have missed her so much. DH bought me a big bunch of winter flowers for the house to remember her, pussy willow, berries, dogwood stems. They are lovely. Lots of colour and height. I have put them next to her photo.

Who is due to give birth next? There are a few of us in the next few weeks aren't there?

DS has been so good today. He is a very easy, happy baby, very content. He makes lots of noises now and is very wriggly and we get definite smiles but he is still learning that.

lillamyy1 · 01/02/2015 15:56

That must be a relief, Ducky!

Well, I'm so exhausted today I don't know how I'll cope when the baby's here and I'm having even more interrupted sleep! I don't know if it's the anaemia (which I think the midwife said was mild, and I've been taking my iron) or just generally all my energy going to growing my baby, but it's just ridiculous! I've had a full 9 hours' sleep and feel like I haven't slept at all! We were supposed to go for Sunday lunch and DP's grandparents' but he had to go without me, as I couldn't face leaving the house Sad I was going to put up the curtains in the nursery as we've got all the furniture in there now, but can't even bring myself to do that! Hope this doesn't last for the next 10 weeks!

Ducky23 · 01/02/2015 06:47

Tori it will fly by then slow down again Grin

How did ds sleep last night cupcake? I would leave that hen do to them Confused I couldn't be wearing them 'orrible t shirts, I have seen them before Confused

Ds slept 5 hours then 3.5 Grin wooooo

Cupcake92 · 01/02/2015 06:06

I bet he is having a growth spurt Ducky. They seem to have them a lot :)

And we'll done Tori! A masters wow! That's brill :) and as for slow pregnancy, I think the 1st always seems to drag until u get to the last month then it flies by!

DS was up early as the heating never came on and he was freezing!
:( bless him.
And I can safely say I'm so done With organising this hen do. Tried to piece it all together last night to get final details as everyone seems to be putting and organising random stuff in. All I got in response was the girls being rather rude to me and basically saying that 'this is going to happen no matter what u say'
They all know each other and I don't know any of them so feels like I'm being 'picked on' so to say lol.
So far they have ordered tshirts with rude Nicknames on, and also are writing explicit dares on the tshirts for each person to do. Which I think is just wrong and gross. So I give up now and just leaving them to it.

I'm a bit exhausted! Think ds is going through a growth spurt. Have upped his feeds to 5oz a time but he seems hungry after an hour Blush am trying to settle him using his dummy and the sling Confused

Not sure if it's a growth spurt or catching up on his reduced feeds when in hospital!

Cupcake92 · 31/01/2015 20:27

I hope not! Lol :p

How is everyone today?
I'm exhausted its been non stop today. DS has been so so hyper it's been hard to keep up lol! He's in bed now and I'm finally having dinner :)

Lulu I found it awful! I think it was worse for me than for him! Grin Poor little soldiers!

LuluJakey1 · 30/01/2015 21:11

I bought dummies for Ds last week but we haven't used them because he seems to have settled himself again.

He is such a funny little thing and so sweet. I just go all mushy when I watch him. Ducky, I am dreading watching him get his vaccinations.

He is lying on DH's chest fast asleep.

iamdivergent · 30/01/2015 20:59

na urban myth Smile some babies just don't take to it for a variety of reasons no matter what the sex

hope ds feels better soon ducky

Ducky23 · 30/01/2015 20:40

I don't know if it's true cupcake but someone told me boys are harder to breastfeed. No idea if it's true or why.

Ds has been very clingy today, he was in a good mood this morning so think it's just because his injections, they said he might be a bit unsettled after.

I think mine would have gone without a dummy too really but he had one in scbu to take his painkillers on for having all his needles so think he just got used to it. Need to order him some more as he only has two nice ones. His others are hospital ones that look really cheap and nasty!

iamdivergent · 30/01/2015 20:25

I breastfed both of mine, DD1 for 16mths and DD2 for 10mths Grin

I didn't give a bottle at all as didn't want to confuse plus I couldn't pump at all, my let down just didn't let down to the pump. DD1 didn't even have a dummy. It is a struggle to begin with but within about 3 wks it was a doddle apart from a bought of mastitis

Cupcake92 · 30/01/2015 20:17

That's true lill, they get confused as to which is which and because formula is richer they end up refusing breast.
I really want to breast feed for my next one, I already have the breast pump Grin u'll have to give me tips as I failed completely with DS on breast feeding! Haha! Grin

OP posts:
lillamyy1 · 30/01/2015 19:47

I'll be the one losing the most sleep in the first few weeks because I'm planning to breastfeed! But we've got some bottles and a breast pump so once he's used to breast feeding, DP can give him the odd bottle. Apparently if you try to feed with both breast and bottle at the very beginning, they prefer the bottle and don't accept the breast!

Cupcake92 · 30/01/2015 18:56

Iam that's a good idea feeding a bottle while having the injections!

Lulu thats brilliant! :) bet it was nice to lie in again. And bless, I loved it when DH went back to work as I like to do most things by myself lol! Grin
My DS and I napped from 10:30 till 12:30! So even I got sleep :D
