He looks like he is smiling at you. Look at the size of his hands! Good job you had a c-section I think.

I think you are right about baby blues. I just findmyself crying. Have just made tea and I cut the bread wonky and cried Hmm I think DH is scaed I. am going to go into one of those moodies but I'm not. I am not angry at all, just unaccountably weepy.

LuluJakey1 · 01/01/2015 19:51

Cupcake, he looks huge! What did he weigh? DS is nowhere near as big- although he is long I think. What a cute little chubby face and he has loads of hair! I don't think I would have coped on gas and air giving birth if DS had been your baby's size. Wasn't he early as well?

Cupcake92 · 01/01/2015 19:34

This is DS the day he was born still in the hospital. He looks so sweet and innocent but that all changed ! Haha! Grin

Lulu it's deffo baby blues :) I had it. I was awful tho, I cried all day every day for about 2 weeks but I think mine was a lot to do with my csection and being in a lot of pain.
Ur DS is so so so so so adorable!!! Looks so innocent and cute! Aaww :) bet u and DH are so proud!

21 we will all get our bfps this year. I can feel it :) and u never know, it could be soon! Nice to see ur feeling positive about it all :)

I'll add a little pic of my DS the day he was born. He was very chubby tho!!!

It is amazing- on the coloured one, the shape of his inner ear is exactly like DH's, exactly- on a smaller scale of course but absolutely totally the same.

DH is very proud when people say he is lovely because he looks so like him. He trys not to look proud but this daft grin comes across his face. One of our neighbours called this morning for 10 mins- she has 3 children and works as a midwife in a hospital south of the Tyne. She just awwwed over him and DH could hardly stand still he was so pleased. I heard him tell her he thinks he has seen him smile. She said the same as me - not yet- but he said he was sure he had. He asked her about the little spot on Ds's nose and she said it is nothing, babies often have little white spots when they are born. The hospital already told us that when he asked them.

Wish my mum was with us today and could hold him and see him. She would be so happy. Now I am crying again. Off to make tea. See you later.

He is very photogenic. This is his latest. You can see his dark hair here and rosy cheeks.

I do note I have been editted out apart from my finger. Start of things to come no doubt.

LuluJakey1 · 01/01/2015 17:29

Here he is, taken yesterday, editted today. Little pet lip very evident. Holding my finger. DH is very pleased with himself Wink

In the original he looked a bit red.

Glad ds had a good nap cupcake and hope he is over the worst of it now. I should have taken our decs down today but couldn't be bothered. We have had a real lazy day here. Back to work for me tomorrow too boo.

It's the baby blues lulu I think it happens to everyone a few days after the birth, it certainly happened to me. Don't worry you will feel back to normal soon.

I can't wait for all of us still ttc to get our bfp's. I feel so positive about it all today, back on healthy eating which I hope will help. Although not actively trying this month as dh has a minor op this wk so will have to see how he gets on but I am prepared to wait. It has to happen sooner or later right?

LuluJakey1 · 01/01/2015 17:18

I have cried on and off all day today. I suspect it is hormones as it just comes from nowhere and is over nothing. We couldn't go out for a walk because it has been raining, blowing a gale and freezing.

DS has been a little treasure, sitting in his chair and getting cuddles. He slept for 2 hours this afternoon and we just went to bed and had a sleep and a cuddle and I cried- no reason at all.

I am such a miserable thing!

Glad your DS is feeling better Cupcake and he has had some sleep.

DH is editting some photos of DS - I might attach one later. He almost has a name!

Cupcake92 · 01/01/2015 16:47

Oh and DS managed to eat some hotdogs as that's all I could get him to eat and he's had a big nap finally! From 2 till now! I didn't sleep I just cleaned the house and took down the decorations haha :) going to have a nice hot shower and go to bed early tonight as ive got a long day at work tomorrow :)

tmi but the wind situation is just your organs settling back into place and you will feel a bit of relief once you birth your first poo Blush Grin I was convinced my organs were going to fall out first time I managed to 'go' Blush

hope ds is ok cupcake early night for you tonight when you manage to get I'm off. I was well known for just going to bed once I'd got my pair off to sleep when they were younger, they don't go to bed til about 8 pm now though DD1 would stay up later but I NEED peaceful time! We won't have much longer before she will be staying up later I don't think.

ducky I had a look at the pp it looks amazing! I didn't have any formula stuff bought first time round as DD1 was 2 wks early so I bf her, she was so good and took to it right away. With dd2 see struggled a bit to get latched but because midwife thought 'oh she's done this before she knows what she is doing' we had a few days of struggle before we got dd2 sorted and feeding - I bf DD1 for 16mths and DD2 for 10mths - my boobs have still not recovered!

Fx for us still waiting on our bfp it has to be our year! Feeling up beat, start as I mean to go on for the year ahead! I'm on cycle 14 day 7!

LuluJakey1 · 01/01/2015 11:01

I slept until.......12.05am. Woke up when DS started crying even though DH had said he would do feeds- except DS didn't want a feed, just a change and a cuddle but his crying woke me up.

He woke three times more between then and 8 am but just had a feed and went back to sleep. I slept through the first two- well sort of but DH did them. I got up to him at 8ish. I am very achey this morning and have lots of wind. I thought that would have stopped.

How the world has changed in 48 hrs Grin

Hope DS is feeling better now Cupcake and he has a sleep.

Happy New Year everyone.

Happy New Year everyone hope 2015 is good to us all Smile

Cupcake92 · 01/01/2015 09:30

Ducky I'm with u there! 2015 has to be a good one!
And no idea what's up with DS he was only sick once but has been playing up all day and being out last night rele didn't help. He's literally only slept 2 hours..... That was 10pm - 12am!!! So I've literally been awake since 4am yesterday. I'm so desperate for my bed :( DH is at work today as well! Not sure how I'm going to cope today.
Ducky I don't blame u wanting to wait for the prep machine! Formula was hard work! I used to also boil the kettle after I'd made the last bottle so then the next bottle I used the water n it had already cooled down. Then boiled kettle and put in a jug and put bottle in jug to warm up. It was hard work haha.

Happy new year Grin lets hope it's a good one as 2014 was pretty rough!!!

Cupcake sorry about ds Confused is it just a bug? Poor little man.

Decided I'm going to have to stick with ready made formula until my pp is here, can't cope with this powder!!! Grin

Cupcake92 · 01/01/2015 07:27

Anyone would think I was the one with the new born!! I've had 2 hours sleep as DS just wouldn't sleep due to his routine being changed and feeling ill :( not going to be happy today :(

Thanks Purple. I am sooo tired tonight. Have just given DS a bottle and he is asleep looking angelic. Am off to bed now. DH has said he will do the feeds tonight so I can get some sleep.

Happy New Year everyone. Hope it's a good one.

Purplelilly · 31/12/2014 22:16

Congratulations Lulu! So happy for you :)

LuluJakey1 · 31/12/2014 18:51

Poor DS. Well we are doing nowt Grin

Feeds, nappies, cleaning up, sterilising bottles, looking at a sitting room that is full of baby stuff already.

TBH we never do much at NY except spend it at home. We usually cook something nice, watch a DVD, have a couple of drinks and go to bed early and have a bit of a thrash about. We will be doing the same tonight with the thrash about being replaced by feeding DS and changing nappies no doubt. He is a good piddler.

We have two individual bottles of cider so will be going wild with a glass each.

Happy New Year everyone- lots of babies in 2015. Wine
