Hi. I am on my first two week wait and completely consumed! Can't think of much else and as we haven't told anyone we are ttc I have no-one to chat with about it!! Anyone ??

Oh hon - am sorry, I know exactly how you feel. There's still every chance you could get a BFP in a few days - 6 days dpo is way too early. Have a fab time tonight and try not think about it too much. Chat Mon

I just tested!!! What a silly moo I am! Even if I was pg there would be no ++ 6 dpo. I am just feeling so washed out and icky that I thought maybe I had ov'd earlier that I thought and maybe was pg which would explain how ill i'm feeling.Had read on a thread that sometimes you get more than one LH increase in a cycle so thought I'd try. Neg of course and now I feel so crap and silly... and I wasted my only first response test so will need to go and buy more! Silly mooooooo!! DH and I are going on a "date" tonight so hopefully that will take my mind off things - need to do something as can't take another week or so of this obsessing!

Sorry for ranting - just needed a wee vent!!

I'm going to sign off for the day and try and put all baby related things out of my mind (though v difficult when feel so yuck!).

Yes, I know that sick is good and so are all my other symptoms if they are actually related to a pg but who knows ? Could be something else, could be a bug - so difficult not to take all these signs as positive because I will be so devasted if I let myself truly believe I could really be pg just to get a bfn!

Morning KitKat - Lying in bed this morning thinking I won't be able to hold out much past next Thursday (which is earliest I can test). Would rather hold out until the following Monday so that my result is definite either way but I'm kidding myself that I might be able to wait until then (and all this only if AF doesn't appear meantime). I'm still feeling v queasy, still having periods of cramp and low dull back pain. I don't ever get PMS before AF really - just normally stomach cramp the day before or sometimes on the day and I know AF is just round corner. Again reading into symptoms that could be nout! Was sick three times last night too just before I was falling into bed (at 9pm!). Could be related to the mould, pg, or something else entirely ......... aarrgghhh - this is all driving me insane!! x

Morning girls

All OK - felt really bloated yesterday and had faint cramps but no symptoms at all today. Trying not think about it too much!!

PinkB dont worry about the blue bread - the toaster would have killed off any germs anyway. (Glad it's not just me who has mouldy bread in the kitchen! )

Welcome all the new posters - nice to have so many on this thread! So is everyone going to test next week?!? I'm going to try and wait until next Sat....aaaages away!!

Hi Bluenosesaint - of course you can join us. Welcome and fingers crossed for you. We are all also on the October and November threads if you haven't already introduced yourself there.

JTT - two under 2's and your trying for a third ! - well you are braver than me. I know I couldn't manage 2 or 3 that young at one time but know the closeness in age in later years is a real benefit.

BeckyJones - saw you on other thread. Hope you are doing ok and that you get the gp assistance you deserve this time.

KitKat & MrsMcJnr - How are you ladies today ??

I'm on cd19/28-30 4dpo and af is due around the 22nd/23rd so fairly close

This is our first month of ttc #3 but i only have a couple of months to make it count (long story - i've used all my persuasive powers on dh to give it a go even for a couple of months!)

I'm finding the wait agonizing!!

BeckyJones - I had a really faint line with my Dd2 but I was defo pregnant. Start taking that folic acid if you haven't already done so!! And good luck this time
PinkButterfly - I have two under 2's.

Thanks MrsMcJ - I started another quick thread because I was worried you weren't around and the consensus seems to be same - just panicked probably more so because I do think there is a real good chance I could be pg. My DH got a bloody earfull though for not even thinking to phone me and let me know - I was so . x

Oh no re the blue bread! You'll be ok, there is no shared blood stream for the first 10 days they say.

My Mum got listeria when she was pregnant with my sister, seriously! She was 3 months and ate pate and cheese (!!) that had been imported into HK from France and had, unbeknown to her, been frozen, defrosted and re-frozen before it arrived (my folks were in import export!) she was very ill, with ulcers all round her mouth and lost tonnes of weight but my sis was fine.

My nephew was due on my sis's birthday but ended up being a month early and they had to re-arrange their 1st anniversary plans as he was 3 weeks old! My DH will be on a stag in Poland on our 1st anniversary!

Help - DH just came home and informed me that the sandwiches he made this morning for lunch were blue moldy! (and it didn't cross his mind to phone and tell me!) I made toast this morning for me and kids half in the dark and we all eat it! What if I was pregnant ? What damage would that do ? Feel ill now - was nauseous anyway but this has made me worse and to boot DH has being doing work on a farmhouse today and stinks of cow shit!!!!

Oh MrsMcJnr - I will keep praying for you that you get your wish for xmas/new year - that would be so lovely (and yes, of course, you can nick my photoalbum idea - sure lots of peeps do it that way!).

When I was ttc ds2 but hadnt had my pg confirmed I had worked out that if I could fall in first month baby would be due on our first anniversary (which he was but ended up 10 days overdue and was born on our best friends anniversary instead!).

Aw how cute your DS1 must have been telling them, did anyone cry? I would have done!! I remember when I told my teacher when I was 9 that my mummy was having a baby. She told me off for telling lies and put me outside. She called my Mum and told her I was telling lies to which my Mum confirmed that she was indeed pregnant!! I was brought up in Hong Kong and it was virtually unheard of to have more than 2 kids (I also have a sister 2 years younger than me) and even more wierd for there to be a 10 year gap between the oldest and the youngest but it was planned that way!

That's such a lovely idea about the photo albums - can I nick it?!

DH and I are flying out to Spain on 28th to stay with my parents for 10 days (hey live there). My Mum's parents are also flying over on the same day. My birthday is 29th and we have a table for the 6 of us at the resturant where DH proposed to me last year for NYE. I keep dreaming about how lovely it would be to tell DH's family on Xmas day and to tell mine face to face on my birthday but hey, it's in the hands of the gods isn't it. I was so excited last cycle as if I'd fallen, my baby would have been due on my Mum's 60th and that would have been lovely! ho hum!

MrsMcJnr - I know what you mean re being positive and I'm sure you are right. I am just a bit of a pessamist by nature and in most situation don't expect the best outcome so I am not dissapointed when I don't get it. My DH on the other hand is the complete opposite so can be a bit of a battle of wills.

Christmas - Your family sound a blast - can we join you ??? lol

We normally have my mum and DH's parents with us on Xmas day and I know what you mean about announcing it then. That's what we did when pg with DS2 - waited until xmas day and let DS1 tell everyone after dinner. Was lovely.

I have it in my mind that if I was to be soooo damn lucky again this time that I would have had my scan by then..... I saw a lovely grandparents photo album in JoJoMammanBebe so had thought I could buy both grandma's one and wrap them like a xmas present, have them open at same time and first pic would be a scan pic!! Everyone is going to be so shocked if/when we announce a pregnancy after us shouting from the rooftops for past two years that we are all done increasing the population!!! x

PinkButterfly - I think it is fruitless trying to talk yourself out of being too hopeful, I think we try and talk down the symptoms so that we are not as disappointed if they are not pg ones, but we don't lessen the disappointment and it feels great being excited so I think we shouldn't even try to talk ourselves down from it!! Does that make any sense?!

I have been on the Christmas threads and am now really excited, I love Christmas!! We are having Christmas at home with the in-laws, SIL and Aunt in law. Aunt in law usually gets drunk and touches up FIL - most amusing! I am just hoping and praying that we are pregnant by then, I have a little dream of telling them on Xmas day .

I am CD8 today, I normally Ov around CD16-18 so I'll start the OPKs on CD12 and the serious BDing around then too. Then it's fingers crossed for a Positive November. My LP is only 10 or 11 days so I don't normally have to wait too long to find out if we've been blessed or not. So hope that it happens for us soon.

MrsMcJnr - thank you but I feel I am making myself too positive. Wish I wasn't having symptoms of any kind to obsess over! When I was in 2ww with DS2 I didn't even know you could get any symptoms so early so just told myself it was wishful thinking (fantom) or something else entirely but of course it wasn't! Again trying to tell myself I'm not pg and I couldn't be that lucky twice in a row but very hard not to get hopes up. My dh is sure I'm pg - I just think his masculinity would be dented if he thought his swimmers couldn't do "the job" right away (he thought he was sooo good last time!). He doesn't believe me when I tell him that even if everything is at the right place at the right time that even a v. fertile person only has a 20-30% chance of success. Time will tell for us though won't it.

Where are you on your current cycle ? Sorry I am finding it very difficult to keep track of everyone's info on different threads. x

BeckyJones - I have read many times on here that a positive is a positive no matter how faint. Given what you have been through, you might want to gt your gp to test and give you piece of mind? Hope it is the result you want.

KitKat30 - I can tell you that I am 10 times worse now and more obsessed than I was the first month of TTC - sorry!! Hope your signs are the good type.

Good to know there are people like me our there.. my last AF was Sept 10th and I am 6 days late.. which 9 tests to show that I am 'faintly' positive... has anyone else had that.. also bad cramps.. bit worried as first preg was ectopic which ended in loss of 1 tube... any advice!!??

I know - thank god for these boards, otherwise my poor DH would have his ear bent off!

I'm hoping I wont be quite so obsessive in the following months... I think maybe because it is the 1st month we've got ourselves so worked up and excited. So with any luck, as time goes on, we'll be a bit more reasoned and calm about it! Either that or we'll be completely bonkers by xmas!!

Will keep everything crossed for us next week!

Yeah I know its difficult - I'm still feeling pretty shattered and queasy and had quite a bit of low down cramp and back pain yesterday, which of course is a symptom of both pg and AF. Definately don't think I'll be managing to wait until a week on Monday to see if AF arrives - think I will need to be putting myself out of my misery next Thursday. The thought of going through this for months on end just fills me with dread to be honest - it's consuming. I cannot imagine how people ttc for years must feel if this is how I feel in cycle 1. Never mind, we can get each other through it and there are lots and lots of people here in same boat as us!
