KitKat30 · 20/10/2006 14:19

Sorry if that was TMI - just panicking.

KitKat30 · 20/10/2006 13:45

Oh no - think AF has started It looks diff more mucusy and darker than normal - but I think it is...due on tomorrow, so it must be. Feel so silly, I really thought I was pg.

ready4motherhood · 20/10/2006 13:04

Hey MrsMcJnr - You gotta do what works for you! I think I will see how I got before taking any prenatal supps, but it's definitely something to think about... and if the time comes, I know who to ask for recommendations!
Was worried the boobs icon was a bit too much, glad it made you laugh!

KitKat30 - I like your attitude of worrying about one thing at a time!! TTC a priority for sure!! Sorry to hear about the sale falling through, superstitious people say that "things happen in 3s" so the next one should go through! Fingers crossed for a BFP!

Enjoy the weekend ladies!!

MrsMcJnr · 20/10/2006 12:58

Might be Monday now KitKat but it'll be good for you!

KitKat30 · 20/10/2006 12:22

OK - have just bought a couple of super sensitive tests from access diagnostics. Do you think it will come tomorrow then PinkB?

KitKat30 · 20/10/2006 11:42

Morning guys - hope everyone's well. Evening was good - although was so knackered I went to bed at 9.30!

Going to pop into Boots today after work to pick up some more tests...keep things crossed!

MrsMcJ - saw your other post as well, hope you're feeling better today hon. I'm with you on the crap job and even crappier housing situation too - trying to buy somewhere and have just had our third sale fall through... I've decided to worry about one thing at a time - first TTC, then house, then job...it's the only way to cope. Come and rant away any time...

MrsMcJnr · 20/10/2006 11:36

Ready4motherhood - Re all my lotions and potions, I know! I am quite good with fruit & veg too but tend to get ill and run down if I don't take supplements too. I had Glandular Fever very badly when I was a teenager and some weird virus two years ago that knocked me for 6 and I was off work for 3 months so I think immune system needs helo! I like the pre-natal vits because they also contain iron, vit E (which helps carry oyxygen to the reproductive organs) and 15 other tailored vits and mins. Loved your drawing of the boobs by the way, PMSL!

Hello Sunshinedays - B6 can help to lengthen your LP if it is short (under 10 days is a potential problem) as it contributes to the production and activities of hormones. It is also good for the brain, nervous system and immune system. It is also great for mood swings and irritability linked to PMS. Too much can have an adverse effect on the nervous system. HTH

Hi PinkButterfly - so excited for you! Can I give you MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS now as I only whispered before! Don't go, it's nice to have you with us. I have read that the green tea and grapefruit juice can cause uterine contractions and therefore best avoided in pregnancy. I think the green tea was meant to be worse than the juice but a lot of people think the risks are nonsense. HTP

KitKat - LOVE The Wedding Planner (Matthew McConaghy is delicious, generally! not really into blondes but he is an exception!) I have bought quite a lot from Access Diagnostics, I think they are really good and much cheaper than Boots etc for OV and pregnancy tests. I have a vanity case full of TTC stuff in my bathroom which I shall be donating to a MNetter once I get my BFP! Never heard of MoonCups! Hope you are still feeling positive.

DH and I did have a nice evening but he was on the floor not the couch because he has a bad back but I rubbed Aloe Vera Heat Cream into it (meant to be better for him than deep heat) and gave him a hot water bottle whilst we watched a scary film "Hostel" horrible!! so I was duly rewarded later on

Babydust to all...........................

ready4motherhood · 20/10/2006 10:56

You forgot the nipples (o)(o) tee hee.
so excited for you, with the bfp not the sore breasts!!
Hopefully I won't be too far behind you when you move over to the pregnancy board. fingers crossed. But if not, have a happy and healthy pregnancy!!

PinkButterfly · 20/10/2006 10:16

Morning everyone.

Kitkat - hope you enjoyed the rest of your evening. Are you going to go online and order these tests today ? Think they would be with you in tomorrow's post if you order today.

MrsMcJnr - ((((hugs)))) - saw the November thread this morning - hope you had a nice relaxing snuggle with DH last night and are feeling better today.

Everyone else doing ok ?? Mrspf - are you testing today ??

I did my clearblue test this morning and got a very bold BFP within about 5 secs!! Actually feeling a bit excited today.

Thanks PinkB - always good to hear from someone who's been through it before. Anyway, am going to settle down for crap telly (and wait for DH to come rolling home ). Enjoy your eve, put your feet up and get your DH to make you a lovely cup of tea! chat in the morning x

PinkButterfly · 19/10/2006 20:25

No don't mind you asking at all. We were only 25 when we had ds1 and had never lived with each other until one week before he was born. Didn't change our relationship greatly other than we were aware it wasn't just us any more and we had to put this wee person before anything and anybody else. It is a change when you are used to spending time together/apart, long lies, reading books etc etc etc and you can't do these things so easily. You have to make sure you get regular time to yourself so you remember you are a couple as well as parents or it can take over. It's all good and worth it (or else I wouldn't be going for my third when I could be having long lies, reading books etc !) x

KitKat30 · 19/10/2006 19:46

BFP this month...feels so weird thinking about it. I have no idea what's going on with me - at the moment I keep running to the loo because I think AF is on its way - but then nothing! Would be good if I did get a BFP this month - nice to go through the same thing with someone else at the same time!!

So strange...my head is all over the place. So desperately want a BFP - but then a small part of me wants it to just be me and DH on our own forever! I think maybe it's because if it does happen this month (fingers crossed), it will be so much sooner than eithr of us expected...dont know if I've got my head around it properly. I suppose everyone worries that a baby will affect their relationship. How did you find it with your DS1 (if you dont mind me asking - if you do, tell me to mind my own! )

x

PinkButterfly · 19/10/2006 19:31

Ahhhh Kitkat , I whole house to yourself (with control of TV!!) - don't remember what that's like! lol

I have had both boys with me all day and night all week - have not much hair left!!

Don't you be worrying about me going anywhere - won't be moving over to the Antenatal thread for a few more weeks yet (fingers crossed). We will still be chatting plenty no matter. Think if you get your BFP this month you would be going to Antenatal for July ? (and fingers crossed that MrsMcJnr and others would be going with you!).

Enjoy your evening! x

Hi girls - DH is out tonight so have the telly and PC to myself. Yippee! Might even be really sad and watch the Wedding Planner on filmfour tonight!

PinkB - good news about the positives. Def stay on this thread for a while!! You're my good luck charm anyway...no going anywhere for a few more days please!

sunshinedays - welcome! No idea about supplements I'm afraid, this is my first month TTC and I know nothing. MrsMcJ is def the font of all knowledge here...

When is everyone testing then? My next go is Sat I think...might see if i can get some of those super sensitive ones from Access Diagnostics then...

Oh god - was reading the pregnancy boards today (wishful thinking!) and I read something about mooncups, which are an alternative to tampons. Sound really odd - has anyone tried them? (sorry if TMI before dinner!)

xx

PinkButterfly · 19/10/2006 18:37

Sorry ready4motherhood - missed you there. Have seen you on October thread - sorry you are moving over to November - lots of baby dust to you for next month! x

OP posts:
PinkButterfly · 19/10/2006 18:35

Evening all ! How are we ?

Welcome mrspf and sunshinedays.

mrspf - you testing tomorrow then ?

Sunshinedays - sorry I know nothing about supplements etc but sure MrsMcJnr will be able to fill you in.

Hey Kitkat - how we doing today ? Sorry to hear about your bfn but it may just be way too early - especially if your AF isn't maybe due until as late as 26th. Maybe you should wait other few days - your symptoms sound really positive! Was reading up on the tests from ?diagnosics that we spoke about earlier this week and they have a test which picks up 10Miu - you can get 5 tests for eight quid - maybe you should do that (more sensitive tests for way less the price??).

Pancha - how are you doing ? Tempted to test early being on this thread I bet!!!??

Last but not least MrsMcJnr - let the baby dancing commence..... lots of baby dust to you hon! Wanted to pick up on your point about what should be taken pre and post ov. You said that green tea and grapefruit juice should only be pre-ov ??? I drink tons of grapefruit j and green tea generally - should I be avoiding that now ???

All is fine with me - still getting +++ tests and still feeling mightly bleeuuuhhhhh! Staying on this thread with you guys though - not ready to move over to the antenatal thread just yet - IS THAT OK ??

Not at all sunshine... everyone on MN is very welcoming. I joined this thread way after it started. I don't know about b6 to answer your question, but I am sure that someone will know and will reply when they can.

Are you on your 2ww??

babydust x

sunshinedays · 19/10/2006 17:16

Ooops - sorry think I might have butted in .

sunshinedays · 19/10/2006 16:00

Hope you don't mind a newbie .. been lurking and thought it time to say hi!

Does anyone know how soon B6 effects the LP? How much should be taken... and can you overdo it?

Good luck to all on the 2ww

ready4motherhood · 19/10/2006 15:40

That's a lot of supplements MrsMcJnr!! I am taking folic acid and grapefruit juice - the miser that I am but I do usually manage 5-6 portions of fruit and veg a day so should be getting plenty of vits from that lot.
would anyone recommend I start taking pre-natal supplements??

babydust and crossed fingers for KitKat and all the rest on their 2ww. x

MrsMcJnr · 19/10/2006 12:03

Hello and welcome to the newbies. KitKat - you still sound so upbeat, good for you. PinkButterlfy - are you feeling any better today?

You are right about the EPO, it is good stuff but only up to OV, not after. Same goes for the grapefruit juice, green tea and cough mixture!

I am beginning to think my vitamin popping is getting obsessive! I take Santogen pre-natal vits, EPO (been taking it for my eyes to produce more oil as suggested by my optician) for hormone balance and CM, grapefruit juice for CM, B6 to improve my LP, Wheatgrass for general health, Aloe Vera gel for general health and Royal Jelly for fertility!!

KitKat30 · 19/10/2006 11:39

Hello and welcome to all the new faces - nice to see so many on this thread.

(Where are the old faces - gone v quiet?!? PinkB still getting +ves? MrsMcJ working hard today?)

Pancha - there is another thread on the conception boards about evening primrose oil... in that you should take it up to ovulation but not after because it causes the uterus to contract or something? Dunno - but basically if you take it after ov then it's not great for TTC.

Ready4M - sorry about AF arrival. Just dreading it happening to me in the next few days...feel on tenterhooks all the time!

ready4motherhood · 18/10/2006 19:12

knock knock - sorry if I'm intruding. My first ever 2ww came to an end on Sunday with the arrival of AF. So I am in the November thread. But I happened to see this thread today, don't know how I missed it during my 2ww (duh!) and wanted to wish everyone the best of luck. Fingers crossed and lots of babydust floating your way.

I am CD4 on my 2nd cycle TTC, and now feeling positive and upbeat, after disappointment and tears on Sunday.

It's fantastic to have MN and all you wonderful ladies to chat to.
