Yay come join this thread! Always nice to talk to people in the same boat.

I?m so impatient too ? and I hate not being able to decide/control what?s happening to me?hence the OPK for next month. From what I?ve been reading though, there?s no need to start worrying until 6-8months+?easier said than done.

Are you doing all the usual charting etc? I?ve been charting my cycle, but haven?t quite going around to doing the BBT stuff ? feels like too much effort somehow! (Doubtless come Xmas I will be doing BBT too!)

How?s your DH taking it all? I worry about them sometimes ? trying not to make him feel like a performing seal!

Pinkbutterfly & KitKat - I am on my 4th cycle of TTC and it still feels the same as the 1st month though tinged with a bit of fear as to why it has not happened for us yet but that's just impatience, some on here have waited far longer. Hope you don't have to wait too long! I am 32 too by the way and DH and I are trying for our 1st baby like you KitKat

I know what you mean ? I feel a little foolish obsessing considering this is only month 1, especially when some of the girls on MN have been trying for years. But it?s so hard to not get carried away when you want it so much. Very glad to have you to chat to as well hon!

32 is OK ? maybe a little late for the 1st, but I?ve never felt ready before. My dh certainly hasn?t ? he?s a year younger than me (and considering some men?s years are a bit like dogs and cats ? that?s more like 5!). He seems pretty happy about it now though ? trying not to let him see quite how obsessed I am though!!

Keep posting and let me know how you get on!

I only tried OKP's for one month with DS2 and they obviously did the trick for us. I think its v difficult when you have such a sort window of opportunity each month and you don't really know for certain when you are ovulating. I know alot of people get ov-type symptoms but I personally dont so need to test to find out LH increase. Temp charting is v popular on here but I don't sleep very well generally so resting temps are all over the place for me and don't give me anything to go on.

This (if successful) would be my fourth pg - m/c 1st, have ds1 - 7yrs and ds2 - 3 yrs. We had really thought our babymaking days were over but just recently agreed to try for a final child. My ds and I are both 32.

I dont think you need worry about your biological clock at this stage - 32 is not old my any manner of mean (check out some other threads and you will see).

I am no pro compared to some of the woman on MN - some have 6 kids! Alot of them have been ttc for some time and/or having IVF and such so I don't really like to crash their ongoing threads as I have no experience of this.

Delighted to have someone to chat with and look forward to checking in with you to see how you are doing.

No kids, this will be our first (I hope, if things go well) - so have absolutely no idea what to expect or look out for. So would you recommend the OPKs then? The monitor I got was a bit pricey but I thought it would be worth it as I have absolutely no idea what I?m doing!

Will this be your second or third? Your symptoms sound positive ? this could be a v short mumsnet buddy conversation! Will keep fingers crossed for you!

How old are you (if you don?t mind me asking)? I?m 32 and I?m conscious of the clock ticking with this being our first?

And as you?re a seasoned pro can you give me any tips?!

dpo is days post ovulation. I have an irregular cycle also but only use the ovulation predictor kits (opk) so know I ovulated at the weekend and were BDing like mad!

Actually feel I may be experiencing symptons already but trying not to get hopes raised. I knew within a matter of days with DS2 - light-headedness, queasy, v thirsty and crampy. Put is down to something else and that I was just reading into things as I so desperately wanted to be pregnant but turn out I actually was pregnant! Having same symptoms yesterday and today. Again could be nothing or something! Cant believe we could be lucky enough to fall pregnant on first attempt again!

Do you have any children already ?

oh crikey - what's dpo?? Cant quite get the hang of all the abbreviations!

Reckon on 13 or 14 days before I can test...but I really dont think I will be. Felt really strange the day before yesterday - odd prickly butterflies and weird stretchy feeling across my stomach...and I'm constantly hungry. But I'm ALWAYS hungry!! Sure it's all in my head and it's just wishful thinking...

Finding it hard to predict my ov day - I've been charting for about 6 months, and my cycle changes from 29 days (shortest) to 35 (longest)! Have invested in one of those fertility monitors - so hopefully that should help next month.

It's difficult to think about anything else really isnt it?

PinkButterfly · 11/10/2006 14:03

Hi KitKat. Where are you on cycle then ? I am 4 dpo so can't test for another 10 days. Have an early test kit at home but would rather wait til 14 days dpo for an accurate result (though whether I manage to wait that long remains to be seen!).

Hello - yes me too!! I'm obsessed already, which is ridiculous...cant imagine what I'll be like a few months down the line.
