Looking for a TTC buddy!

Hello! I'm needing a TTC buddy as I'm finding myself constantly over thinking things and it's driving my husband mad so would be great to discuss it with someone else in the same boat!

I'm TTC baby number 3. I came off the pill 3 days ago and I'm very impatient, want to get started right now! Anyone else in a similar situation want to buddy up?

cant how exciting that he might propose in Amsterdam! I'm sure flying will be absolutely fine. I don't know whether to book or not for next few months.

My issue is sil hen do and oh brothers wedding. I'm a bridesmaid and my sil wants to go raft building and kayaking.... Which is fine if I'm not pg... Otherwise don't fancy either. I'm trying to think ahead in the hope I'm pg by June and give myself a role... Official photographer, interrupting things for games and shots for b2b?! Sure I'll think of something. And I'll be a FAT bridesmaid... But won't mind if that means I'm pg!

stir are you feeling any better? Stomach sounds terrible and really painful. Hope it clears up soon so doesn't give you any problems ttc. Hope your photo shoot goes well today and that you both manage to keep smiling.

boo hope you're still feeling well and getting excited. Do you feel any different now you know it's actually happening? I've thought about it for so long you'll guarentee I'll get the blues that my life is going to change forever haha.

manderley loved the voice last night although really not a fan of Rita ora... Maybe her appearance will change my mind on there

Welcome deepturquoise I've not had mire a but came off pill and pretty sure I'm back to normal straight away. Had 29 day cycle and confident I ovulated mid month? Hope it's same for you too. Good luck!

DeepTurquoise · 10/01/2015 21:15

Hi guys, ok if I join in? Smile ttc #2 and just had my iud out on Wednesday! So currently having my withdrawal bleed, how long did that last for any of you who also had the mirena? Good luck to everyone!

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 10/01/2015 20:24

P.S. The specific term 'grumpus' gets used a lot in our house too :)

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 10/01/2015 20:23

Deadly serious, we're in Radley. Hopefully you'll get through tomorrow without too much agro, I know it can be hard! There is only one other person who knows that DH and I are ttc - she's my oldest friend and an OB/GYN so it kind of made sense.

So since I came of the pill cycles have been 29/27/38 (ah yes, we all remember LAST month!). I'm currently CD27...so 'somewhere' in my 2ww, but no idea whether I'm at the end of it or only a few days in. Humph...

Sat at home with the pup watching the Voice (DH is overnight at School tonight) and it really hit me how much I want 'this'. I knew it was going to be hard as I'm such an ambitious person and used to 'making' things happen if I want them enough. This is one thing I can't control though and it's going to drive me up the wall.

On another voice related note I LOVED that temple cloud song (the KFC one) and wondered why the girl hadn't done anything else as she was amazing. Maybe we'll be seeing more of her now!

Stircrazy1984 · 10/01/2015 17:09

Manderley, you're joking!!!!!! It is such a small world indeed!! Well if you ever fancy a cuppa....

I'm a bit anxious, tomorrow for some reason we have a family photoshoot followed by a big dinner...my sister had her baby scan today which of course is great so I just know the conversation of the day will be about babies, but cute baby pics being taken of niece and nephew, and last time we saw them my BIL was playing the big I AM to me and DH about the fact all the internet stuff is crap, he didn't do anything special, change his diet, take vitamins or stop drinking...not realising he was talking to a couple that have been trying for a few months and are playing completely by the rules.Humph!

Sorry if this sounds selfish, I'm aware I'm being a grumpus.

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 10/01/2015 15:33

Holy crap, stir, you're just down the road from me! Just got back from Millets! Small world :)

booboobeedoo11 · 10/01/2015 09:58

Ps..with my bfp on thursday it was just a really cheap twin pack of Numark (i think) tests from our corner shop.

booboobeedoo11 · 10/01/2015 09:56

Aww stir sorry to hear about your infection..hope you're better soon!

We're the same with holidays, a good few years ago we had a few nice weekends away and a fortnight in lanzarote (because we saved our asses of for ages!) but not been able to get away at all for a family holiday for a while as we've had so many weddings and one thing after another seems to be giving up on us in the house, fridge, tv etc. And I guess now that'll be us grounded for a while again now lol.

Feeling pretty good thanks, still feels quite surreal! Noticed yesterday when I was hungry I was feeling quite nauseous and still been having quite a sicky feeling heartburn but thats about it.

Oh the weather, I'm up in the west of Scotland and it had been totally wild the last 2 nights! Snow has just started but it doesn't usually come to much around where we live because we're near the town centre.

Hope everyone's good today Smile

Stircrazy1984 · 10/01/2015 09:40

Morning all, can't & manderly so pleased for you guys, your holidays sound amazing :) DH and I haven't been abroad in our 5 1/2 years, it gets me a little down as circumstances have meant we can't afford it, people were very generous with contributions for a nice honeymoon when we got married in summer but our car had a funny turn and it all went on that. I can't complain about the 4 nights camping we had in the New Forest but I was looking forward to something a little more exotic as we go camping every year.lol. Life happens though I guess lol.

Cant.. I'm SO excited for you about your potential upcoming engagement :) such an exciting time. Make sure you keep us updated :)

I am in a bit of a low point today ladies, Tums been hurting after throwing up 2 weeks ago, since I've been bloated and weeing so much more, which made me think I'd be getting BFP, turns out I have a bacterial stomach infection which oddly has a lot of pregnancy symptoms, and since ive been so poorly without realising it my fertility would have been non existent, and we made so much effort this month.lol.

Boo how are you feeling? So exciting been assigned a midwife, bet if feels super real now? When talking to the doc yesterday he very informatively told me they now charge patients £4 a pop for a test in a surgery and the tests are less sensitive than those brought in stores, also that even the cheapest tests are super sensitive and will all tell you up to 4 days before. So don't spend too much ladies, the cheap ones are the same as the expensive ones.

Where do you live can't? I'm in Grove, Oxon and it's crazy windy here too x

cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 10/01/2015 09:02

Oh I think you mentioned before? I'd love to do more travelling but with dd it's a bit harder. Funny enough though, OH & I had a bottle of wine the other night and did our 'bucket lists' and we both had lots of place to visit on them so we said we'll prioritise that next year depending on whether we have been lucky or not! How's everyone feeling?

We have just woken up to our garden fence been blown down. Torrential weather here. Now off to dance class with said dd. Movies and munchies day then with this weather! Divine!

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 09/01/2015 21:56

China :) So excited! Been on the list for ages so great its finally happening, I'm such a nomad but DH is a homebody through and through so I've been gradually warming him up to it. Loves my crazy trips now!

cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 09/01/2015 20:49

It's still early days isn't it boo Fingers crossed you'll have an uneventful 9 months without a symptom in sight!

Amsterdam, I have been a few times and we have been together once. It's the most beautiful place (contrary to it's media image) My OH is exactly the same manderley I did tactfully say to him about if I became pregnant. He said we would do whatever I wanted, stay home, still go, whatever. I will be going unless I am bed bound! Where are you going manderley?

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 09/01/2015 18:05

Ooh, how exciting can't! Where are you going?

I bit the bullet with flying as we've been putting off this trip for ages for other reasons. I figured it could take a while so I could have put it off again inevitably. DH, bless him, said 'well if you feel crap, we'll cancel the trip. Its only money.' God love that man. Apparently no reason why you shouldn't, just that you might not feel like it.

booboobeedoo11 · 09/01/2015 16:23

can't fingers crossed for your bfp and a ring then! Must be on to something if OH if taking an interest in ring sizes and what you like! Excited for you!

Still really don't feel pregnant! I can feel the odd 'goings on' in my stomach but if I didnt know or wasnt trying I don't think I'd notice. Don't have sore boobs or anything yet, they look as though they might be a bit firmer looking but I'm really big boobed anyway so haven't noticed any dramatic changes yet. I've done another two tests last night and done a digital one this morning that came back as 1-2weeks so as of tomorrow I'll def be classed as 4 weeks pregnant! Such a strange feeling finding out this early as I'm scared to get too excited too soon.

Got in touch with my doctor and its all change since I had my son...well it was 11yrs ago lol. They don't need to confirm with a test of their own, just put me on to the midwife so I wont see her til I'm 8wks along so obviously I will be POAS every week just to be sure! and been booked in for the 12 week scan too.

I have everything crossed for you cant!

So who's next to POAS??

cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 09/01/2015 14:13

oh and how are you feeling boo? sorry I did mean to ask!

cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 09/01/2015 14:12

That's the way stircrazy - PMA and all that jazz!!

I've actually been looking into flying while pregnant. My OH has bought me a trip and we fly in March for our 3 year 'relationship anniversary'. I think he is going to propose (cant believe I actually just said that but it doesn't matter because this isn't RL and I'm sure if I can tell you lot about the stuff in my knickers, I can tell you that I was a right plonker if he actually doesn't) because has taken a deep interest in what engagement ring I would like 'for the future' and a great interest in my ring size and is taking me to my/our favourite city sooooooo anyway, yeah, apparently some women choose not to fly in the first 3 months but GPs will generally allow you to as long as you have no problems. Then airlines wont fly you after 32 weeks in single pregnancy or 28 weeks with multiple pregnancy!

Oh my god I'm shattered from all the dtd... If it doesn't happen this month, I know it will never happen and am going for IVF in the spring... Keep your fingers crossed for me girls!

Stircrazy1984 · 09/01/2015 14:02

Thanks cant, going to have to put some things in the diary to look forward to.

Mrsgray I am sure you are completely right, it will be that month where nothing happens that I think it'll be a BFN for sure.

Boyle, am here for you as you enter you 2ww!! so pleased to nearly be at the end of it, although CM checking I swear I've had EWCM 3 times this month?!?! I'm giving up checking for that now as it's just so confusing, a friend who has just given me their leftover ovulation kits as she got pregnant immediately, so will be using them until they run out to help me out.

He he I was exactly the same...I convinced myself of a BFP for this week and seeing the whole family on Sunday which never happens as there's so many of us, and was getting all exciting how to break the news to them all together. d'oh!! Our minds/imaginations are so unfair on us :(

You're absolutely right boo, the symptoms are very similar which is so unfair, I had the same conversation with my doctor last month when I thought I had spotting and I thought it was implantation bleeding, the only thing anyone can advise is to wait for AF. Your view on things is also very good about every BFN month is a learning curve.

Thank you so much for your support, it really is appreciated. And really am so pleased for your BFP :)

I'm such a donkey though as DH and I aren't planning holidays this year just in case...we wanted to go skiing next month but didn't book it as know if I get a BFN it's probably not the best type of holiday to go on. Do any of you know at which point during pregnancy that you shouldn't go on holidays?

booboobeedoo11 · 09/01/2015 09:16

Hey Stir you are certainly not crazy! No more crazy than any of us on these threads! We are all in the same boat so don't be too hard on yourself.

I think half the problem is that when ttc we notice every little change because we are looking for it/hoping for it...which is sometimes a good thing because then next cycle we know what we've been feeling before. Also cruel though because AF symptoms seem to mimic early pregnancy symptoms from what I've read.

I was feeling really down about ttc this month and before I got my bfp I thought to myself, "try and take every bfn cycle as a learning curve about your body and cycles" I know its hard to feel positive when you feel so down about it. When you want this so bad it seems to consume your whole life!

This was my 5th cycle off bc and i realise thats pretty quick compared to a lot of people, two of my friends were just around 1yr and around the 2yr mark for eventually conceiving, so just hang in there! Any time you're feeling down just remember all of us here who are/have been going through the same thoughts and feelings and that you're not alone!

Boyle1884 · 09/01/2015 07:47

Stir crazy... You are not mad, if you read back over this thread and my tww comments last month, I was exactly the same and spent all day everyday thinking and googling symptoms. Even obsessed about how I was going to conceal being pg on christmas and new year!!! BFN!!! Think it's human nature really when you want something so bad, and I'll probably be the same again during my next tww starting tomorrow so be ready Grin

Themrsgray · 08/01/2015 21:07

Congrats Boo thats awesome news. Keep us updated. Everything will be fine, enjoy the moment!!!

Stir I was doing exactly the same as you last month, I am not looking at symptoms anymore as I just convince myself im pregnant. I think its normal, probably like Boo the month you get you bfp you will have had no symptoms!

cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 08/01/2015 21:00

Haha stircrazy you are not going mad, you are the same as the rest of us.... Unless we are all going mad Hmm

Some months are easier than others. The best advice I can give you is make plans. Always have something to look forward to. When you are down, just look forward to whatever you have planned next Smile

Stircrazy1984 · 08/01/2015 20:32

Firstly - CONGRATULATIONS boo...so very pleased for you!! Flowers Amazing news.

Secondly I wanted to say thank you to you boo, cant & manderley for making me feel welcome on here and like I have people to talk to.

I am finding it hard at the moment, in the months i've come off the pill I had 4 months of 28 day cycles & last month it was 23 days. So it it was a 23 day cycle that means AF would have come on Tuesday, if 28 days she's expected on Monday. Took a test on Tuesday & again today and BFN.

I am so annoyed with myself too as I read a symptom on-line and then I feel it....this morning I was checking symptoms as i've been going for a wee more often, had a splitting head and feel bloated...today I saw 'tingling nipples' listed and low and behold they are now...It's annoying me so much as I just know i'm in for a disapointment. I am finding it hard to focus at work too :s Today before I got the bfn I was imagining how to deliver the news of a bfn to my DH & family. I'm going mad!

cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 08/01/2015 19:11

Shame about the cold manderley Flowers and take it easy! Cwtch the dog & recover best you can

cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 08/01/2015 19:10

I knew it!!!! Wooooohooooo!! This is a BFP thread! Congratulations boo Over the moon for you Flowers

Sausage dogs are lovvvvely manderley Mines a lab so always wanting food and walking, I do love it though. She's my baby.

Well no idea what's going on with me... I think I have watery CM... but last month had loads of EWCM last month before watery CM. No idea what's going on so just going to keep hopping on OH. I'm a sex machine.... Literally!!!

Yes don't go anywhere boo - keep us in the loop & we are def going to have lots more BFPs on this thread, I can feel it Grin congrats again Flowers

booboobeedoo11 · 08/01/2015 17:42

Thanks boyle! Will do...def gona hang around and hopefully see all the bfps coming in!
