Hello! I'm needing a TTC buddy as I'm finding myself constantly over thinking things and it's driving my husband mad so would be great to discuss it with someone else in the same boat!

I'm TTC baby number 3. I came off the pill 3 days ago and I'm very impatient, want to get started right now! Anyone else in a similar situation want to buddy up?

Hi millie and nurse & welcome Smile

Sounds about the right time frame for your periods to be getting back to normal millie & the frustration days come & go nurse - they are well understood on this thread!!

'Educational' trip boyle ... To Disney land and the Eiffel Tower Hmm I hope she enjoys but will miss her terrible Sad and the worry... Something else! Woooo! TWW so maltesers are allowed! I'm on the strict bandwagon so i hope you enjoyed enough for me!

MrsLOL you sound like me! I have a list of baby names in my phone I'm also due AF/BFP end of jan.. We'll be in TWW together Smile should be easier if we vent to each other!!

boo calm the feck down hahahahaha!

Aww river Flowers you are very brave for tomorrow, hope it's not too hard. I have had to turn down a baby shower on OHs side this weekend. I am literally surrounded by pregnancy in my inner circle, and I just can't take anymore. As harsh as it sounds, I can only be around non pg people at the moment. So many of them are so oblivious to people struggling with ttc, they can be so inconsiderate and hurtful without meaning to be Sad so taking myself out of the situation before I have a breakdown!! Haha

IfYouWereARiverIdLearnToFloat · 12/01/2015 20:24

Boyle I'm glad you're feeling better bet the maltesers helped? I'm not a huge fan of thr work crier I find it a bit weird. I've got a baby shower work lunch tomorrow for a girl who got pregnant at same time as me - she's got 5 weeks to go and I'm trying again. Not going to dwell on that too much though. PMA and chocolate all the way! I've been trying meditation before bed - sometimes it's nice to unleash my inner happy hippy.

My sister wants a weekend away up north so just need final numbers before we book. I've got a friends hen this weekend first though :)

We're going dress shopping at the end of this month and my sis knows we're trying so hopefully find something that will accommodate a bump if I'm lucky enough to have one by then... although DH is still holding out on getting a BFP in the next few weeks and having a tiny human in time for the wedding.

booboobeedoo11 · 12/01/2015 19:41

Hi Ladies...just checking in!

Boyle hope you're feeling better! This ttc malarkey really takes its toll!

MrsLOL Thanks! So excited but I always have that bit of me that says, "right you, calm the feck down for now!" too nervous to get too excited! Need to get these first few weeks out the way then I'm sure I'll relax and start worrying about something else haha. And I totally get that it feels like forever ttc! I had came off the pill in July, AF came back regular straight away but had probably only been 'really' trying since October and its only after the bfp and reading some threads on here that I realise I've been quite lucky to fall that quick.

Genuinely loved being part of these threads and they've kept me sane...well, semi sane haha.

Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for more bfp's!

MrsLOL2015 · 12/01/2015 19:20

Boo - Congratulations!, :o) You must be so excited.

Really enjoying this thread, makes me feel reassured that I am normal after thinking I might have lost my mind.

This is month 1 for me and if anyone could see inside my mind they would think I have been TTC for years, I don't know what has happened to me since hogmanay (the night the DH and I decided all protection was out the window). Up until Autumn last year having children was so far down my list of priorities I often imagined just not having at all, it just wasn't what I wanted....WELL, I don't recognise me anymore!, Since Jan 1st I am like a woman-possesed. Life is all about my ovulation app, and marking DTD days and counting 40 weeks from those days and googling 5 door cars, trawling mumsnet and like many of you have said...Having phantom pregnancy signs after reading about them LOL - mere hours after the dance

Next AF is end of Jan :( dreading it.

Wishing you all quick and stress-free conceptions x

Boyle1884 · 12/01/2015 19:08

Oops just scoffed a box of maltesers!

Boyle1884 · 12/01/2015 18:53

I'm feeling much better now thanks River although have done my teams end of year reviews today and made someone cry! Bad times! Don't think my grumpy ness helped oops. What are plans for the hen do that you're organising? Have they decided what kind of dress you'll he wearing yet... I'm hoping for bfp before we decide so it's easier to explain why I'll need bigger size haha.

Ok can't ... Pma from now on in Grin, can't be kicked out!!! Haha. Think oh just isn't used to doing it so often! And probably just can't physically do it that often!! Still dtd 4 times in fertile window so not too shabby. Paris... Wow... That'll be exciting for her! Maybe not for you. Are they going for a reason of just nice trip? Be a testing day... And easier if you get that bfp I'm sure :).

Welcome new ladies! Looking forward to hearing more about how you're feeling and fx we can help each other through. Especially now I'm in tww hahaha!!!

IfYouWereARiverIdLearnToFloat · 12/01/2015 18:19

boyle hope your feeling a bit better tonight? I'm also 3 dpo... the wait is on!

Hi milliemanzi I really hope that's a good sign your cycle is getting back to normal.

NurseDoctor i feel your pain, we stayed at my parents for new year and was def gross DTD with granny in the next room. I find keeping busy helps with the frustration and planning nice things to look forward to other than BFP.

NurseDoctor · 12/01/2015 11:42

Hi everyone can I join?
Trying to conceive baby number 1
Been off the pill since October but only really "tried" two months now. Christmas was awkward as my ovulation fell right on top of Christmas... whilst we were staying at my brothers.. on a creaky bed with family members in all adjoining rooms. Getting nervous that it hasn't happened right away, despite knowing it's very lucky to conceive quickly. I have endometriosis but regular periods since I was 10 with a cycle of 33 days and I know I ovulate as have used the clear blue indicator two months now. Could do with losing a couple of pounds so have been eating a lot healthier since Christmas... anything to help! Anyone else getting frustrated?

milliemanzi · 12/01/2015 11:26

Can I join in? Stopped BC in July but haven't really been TRYING trying iykwim, was quite happy to have a non-pregs christmas/nye but now want to get serious! The ovulation sticks are out and I've downloaded one of those apps.
One of the annoying things for me is my irregular periods since stopping microygnon, I've had really weird long cycles and light periods (previously had very regular 31 days cycle), on my period now and it feels like the most "normal" period I have had since stopping BC I.e heavier and with period pains!
Really took for granted how long it would take for periods to go back to normal, hoping this is a sign that is happening now.

cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 12/01/2015 09:51

That was supposed to be CD19 /* CD20 last month

cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 12/01/2015 09:50

Turn that frown upside down Boyle Don't you know we have a PMA on this thread. Don't want to have to kick you out now! Wink But I will still do my best for a BFP for you!

Is it ttc pressure or other stresses on DH?

I am still in my fertile window I think .. tiny bits of EWCM on and off all last week and a more noticeable amount this morning... so don't think I have OV'd yet... so the 32451 times I have dtd this month have been a waste just for fun! And it means my cycle will be longer this month as I appear to have OV'd on CD19 & CD20 last month. Today I am CD21 and am guessing that if this is the start of proper fertile window, prob wont OV til end of the week according to time frame of lots of EWCM last month. So OV maybe CD25, and then I expect 14 day LP, which takes me to 30th Jan instead of 25th for AF/BFP. Which also happens to be the day my DD is off on a school trip for 5 days with out me.... to Paris of all places!! I am going to be an emotional wreck that day ladies so I'd appreciate if you could all clear your diaries to console me! Haha.

Boyle1884 · 12/01/2015 08:21

Ladies... Don't know what's up with me today but I feel incredibly low and down in the dumps. I think I'm 2/3 dpo so I'm sure it's hormonal changes but I feel rubbish. Dh wasn't able to perform last night (even though it didn't really matter) and I feel really bad for him. Maybe that's clouded my mood today but anywho... Hope you're all close to some BFPs to liven my mood haha!

IfYouWereARiverIdLearnToFloat · 11/01/2015 19:07

I know it makes such a difference. He's pretty open minded which helps. And I think the fact this is a gadget has him more interested.

That's a point Manderlay - I'm hoping to use the "I'm oncall" excuse whether I am or not.

cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 11/01/2015 17:44

manderley OH & I have exactly the same 'girth' problems(!!) haha, in a chunky chip lover when it comes to sweet potato. OH shreds them when he does them.

You could always have a recurring water infection. Drink water and cranberry juice to look more convincing!

River sounds like you have a very proactive keen DH. It's great when they are in that attitude to try and do as much as they can isn't it!

IfYouWereARiverIdLearnToFloat · 11/01/2015 17:29

Thanks ladies. It's v weird, in the last two months I've really chilled out. If AF arrives i don't feel like it's the end of the world and I know I'm strong enough to deal with it.

I'm trying the CBFM this month which hasn't given me any new info other than confirmed Boots OPK are rubbish but it's totally changed hubby's attitude - all I have to say is "I'm high" and he's throwing me into bed...

Boyle I'm in same boat as you - planning my sisters hen in August and wedding is September. Hoping to be a mahoosive bridesmaid!

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 11/01/2015 17:08

Yes - haggis is a marmite food indeed! Though veggie haggis is actually rather nice too. I have to confess to being a bit of an offal fan but it's not really recommended if pregnant as it contain's liver so I figure let's go for it now! I adore sweet potato fries, DH and I have a fight about 'girth' (!) though as I'm a 'fry' fan whilst he's a 'fat chip' lover.

I'm a charity trustee and I've got a few dinners coming up. I KNOW people are going to are going to rumble me if I suddenly start turning down the red wine. Figure I might attempt a deferred 'dryathlon' as and when it happens...

cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 11/01/2015 16:45

Yes we are spiritely bunch my nan would say!
Is haggis one of those things that you don't want to know what it's made of?! We have pizza topped chicken and sweet potato chunky fries. Mmm! I think I could live on sweet potato fries! Oh my that's awesome manderley how lovely would that be?!

Yes do it boyle - there's a cheese board in my fridge. Don't think it's going to be there this Eve!

Boyle1884 · 11/01/2015 16:38

Ps adventure when do not for me.... I had spa weekend for mine but happily follow everyone else and am sure will laugh my head through weekend!

Boyle1884 · 11/01/2015 16:37

Welcome river and sorry to hear your news. youre In good company here!! Baked haggis manderley ... Never had haggis?! Mexican lamb parcels for us and I'm deciding to scrap dry January (even though I won't tell others thAt) and have a glass of wine tonight just in case in two weeks time I can't for nine months....

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 11/01/2015 16:02

hi river - sorry to hear about your MC. Here's to 2015!

can't You're right, it's actually a very healthy attitude we have here isn't it? Last night sounds good - we've got baked haggis for dinner tonight, yum! Not poas yet - given uncertainty of cycle I decided to wait until next saturday. Only 5 more days (ish)! Don't normally spot though so who knows, just not feeling this will be the month for me. If it's next month then due date would be our wedding anniversary!

cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 11/01/2015 15:18

I was also supposed to say wine last night....

cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 11/01/2015 15:17

Hi River! Welcome! Sorry to hear about your MC Flowers but am glad to hear you are feeling better. We kind have developed a little ethos on this thread that each month without BFP is a month of learning, not wasted! It's a good reason to keep going each month! And yes 2015 has turned this into a lucky thread! Our lovely boo had her BFP this week! Grin

cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 11/01/2015 15:14

Haha. Oh god, all of your excitement is making me nervous that I've got it wrong now, MASSIVELY trying to forget about it! I do get carries away with myself sometimes! I'm in Cardiff so miles from you lot but weather is much nicer today, even have washing on the line!

Stir - infection sounds nasty! You feeling any better yet?! I am in exact same position with you with all my pg friends and relatives. As horrible as it sounds, I'm just too upset for myself to show any sort of excitement for them. I know the "real me" not the potentially infertile me is really pleased for them, and of course I'm jealous but the main thing is that I am sad for myself and OH. Saw SIL & BIL with shiny new pram last night (baby not due for another 4 months) and it hit me like a ton of bricks... My tummy twisted so bad, I thought I was going to throw up there and then Sad

Welcome turquoise - only normal coil here but I'm sure there is another thread on here about mirena that you could have a browse through? I know there are superficial hormones in it so could be similar to the pill. Withdrawal bleed is a good sign though!

I think you should book boyle - I feel like I'm daring Sod's law to come get me! Haha. And I've got to be honest, I'd be trying to get out of that hen do! I do like outdoor activities, they just don't like me! Last in everything!!

manderley - have you poas yet?! And do you usually spot? Pg symptoms are so similar to AF, it's excruciating!

Still dtd morning noon and night! Well apart from last night - it was my cheat night from diet so had dominos pizza and lots of won't with friends. OH says he did his best but I just wanted sleep Blush Hmm

IfYouWereARiverIdLearnToFloat · 11/01/2015 15:00

Hi! Mind if I join... TTC#1 since coming off the pill early last year. After MC June and bring a hormonal mess for last six months I've finally stopped feeling like the world has ended everytime AF shows up.

Feeling strangely calm and optimistic about what 2015 will bring.

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 11/01/2015 14:16

Hmmm...fairly certain I'm out this month. Had stomach twinges and spotting so looks like AF will be along in next few days :( On the positive side, will be a 29 day cycle so back to normal.

stir, how did today go?

Hi turquoise, never had coil so afraid I'm no use to you.

Boyle would be sad to miss what sounds like a fun hen but, as you said, well worth it if that's the reason why!
