Hello! I'm needing a TTC buddy as I'm finding myself constantly over thinking things and it's driving my husband mad so would be great to discuss it with someone else in the same boat!

I'm TTC baby number 3. I came off the pill 3 days ago and I'm very impatient, want to get started right now! Anyone else in a similar situation want to buddy up?

Stir how adorable is that?! You both must be over the moon :)

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 14/01/2015 17:41

Nope...all quiet on the western front! Don't want to get my hopes up so still working to Saturday and pretending AF not due til then.

V close friend told me she's pregnant today, so very happy for her! She had an EMC (borderline CP) in September so this is right on the back of that. Means the world to them so amazing news to start the year with Smile

cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 14/01/2015 11:26

That's just lovely! Put the most genuine smile on my face.

Haha, it's not like OH is going to complain, he'll take it at every opportunity I give him, can't seem to tire him out haha. Yeah, I do the pillow most of the time, and will be now this week now that I know I am most definitely in my fertile window.

Stircrazy1984 · 14/01/2015 10:15

Hi Cant, he was thrilled. I put a baby picture on a piece of paper followed by 'Surprise...you're going to be a daddy' and told him it was a nice letter from a client about my work when I handed it to him, after he saw it I handed him the digital test. Last night he kissed me goodnight and then my belly.. SO cute! We're just both worried that its too good to be true. We decided to tell immediate family and close friends now so that if something does happen we have a support group.

Don't worry cant, its not all in vain, those little swimmers can't survive up to 6 days in your cervix, so you might get pregnant by the old swimmers rather than the new ones. It is exhausting, but if you get your BFP this month it'll all be worth it :) Not sure if it actually helped but I always raised my hips on a pillow and bent my knees for 30 mins afterwards. I know...so romantic and also really doesn't help with comfort when you're trying to go to sleep.

Ooh Manderly any news?

cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 14/01/2015 09:08

Just checked FF - CD23!! Angry

cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 14/01/2015 09:07

How did your DH take the news Stir?? I've decided to cut out caffeine too. Besides, I can't tell the difference between normal tea and decaf anyway! Wonderful but scary feeling at the same time isn't it, but you will be funny and don't beat yourself up too much.

tmi alert - Woke up too loads of EWCM this morning - which i'm pleased and annoyed at! Thought I had only had a little bit this month and had gone through fertile window but seems I haven't. So I'm on CD22 and still haven't ov'd. So annoying and I've had so much bloody sex this month!! Lol. Glad we have had 2 nights rest as we will be back at it again tonight...

Did AF turn up this morning manderley

Any more news on this lucky lucky thread?! Smile

Stircrazy1984 · 14/01/2015 07:19

I know so much has happened on here..I'm going to need to log in using my laptop rather than phone so I can respond to everything :)

Thank you very much, I am thrilled, immediately followed by scared that something might go wrong, going to have to fight that though and not worry. I feel a sudden huge responsibility that I have a little seed in me that I need to do everything right by so it thrives in there. Let's just hope its a sticky one hey.

I hold so much hope for everyone on this thread, I have been off the pill for 4 months and we DTD every other day in the month. I maybe had 1 glass of rose this month and cut caffeine completely out since we started trying. I know ive been super lucky to fall so quick, but I can feel it this thread is lucky. Sending magic conceiving sprinkles everyone's way.

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 13/01/2015 18:03

I'm off the thread for TWO days and miss so much!

Stir Congratulations! That's fantastic news :) You must be over the moon?

Stupid phone wont let me read and write at the same time so sorry if I'm ignoring anyone, there's a lot to catch up on. With the drinking I'm not a massive drinker anyway - I figure I'll see how we get on and stop as and when I know something's actually going on.

Over in my camp, ovia and ovuview both saying AF due tomorrow on CD31. Been having stomach twinges/cramps for the past week so seems fairly likely. Was CD38 last month though which was v irritating so we'll see how I get on.

IfYouWereARiverIdLearnToFloat · 13/01/2015 17:14

Congratulations stir! Enjoy telling DH tonight. Thanks for the vit D info - my pregnacare vitamins have 10ug in them already so that's reassuring :)

NurseDoctor · 13/01/2015 16:23

Stir this is amazing congratulations!
Boyle love it, i'm pretty partial to a good glug also, can imagine being seriously good, getting fed up, having a bottle then finding out thats the one time i've managed to get PG, oh well!
IfYouWere you are very right there, when it's the right time it'll happen. I have a terrible tendency to obsess which really doesn't help. Babies seem to be everywhere recently!

booboobeedoo11 · 13/01/2015 14:36

Stir that's great news! Congratulations!

Stircrazy1984 · 13/01/2015 13:19

Thank you so much Boyle & Can't...I was going crazy so brought a clear blue digital in my lunch break...BFP 1-2 weeks.....I can't believe it!!!!!!! Now the afternoon is going to drag until I can tell my DH he's going to be a daddy.

Good tip ladies, spoke to my doc and new pregnancy guidelines out last week tell you to take Vit D (100 universal units) a day alongside the folic acid we're all taking whist TTC & pregnancy. Start taking them ladies.

cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 13/01/2015 09:07

Woooohooooo!! That looks like a BFP to me Stir! Can I whisper congratulations?!

Well if this isn't a lucky thread, I don't know what is!! That's picked us all up this morning Grin

Well, I was minding my own business along the M4 this morning on the way to work and there was a red BMW behind me all the way, he then undertook me and pulled in front of me. I was going to honk the horn and then I realised his number plate BFP !!!! It's a sign isn't it?! going insane haha

Oh and girls, I have no idea how anyone could get through the TWW or a BFN without a HUGE glass of wine... I would say most pregnancies are conceived when drunk anyway but it's all down to personal preference isn't it. Don't kill yourself over it!

Boyle1884 · 13/01/2015 08:02

Stir you'll be fine... Try and relax and enjoy that fizzy feeling that it could be your time, but on way home get another brand and poas again tomorrow! Easier said than done im sure!!

Boyle1884 · 13/01/2015 08:01

River-that lunch is going to be tough but just try and focus on positives... I personally wouldn't have wanted someone else with the lime light at the same time as me so maybe next time will be your time!! Oh yes the maltesers helped although I now feel so so guilty for eating them because I'd lost 3lb being back on diet last week. Night up north sounds good, we're heading to Leeds or sheffield (from derby) so should be good.

Can't that sounds wonderful. Scary but great experience for her being away and having a great time! Well jel!

Mrslol you sounds exactly like me with the tww malarkey... Promised myself last week I wouldn't be obsessed and that id keep a clear head and I spent all this morning getting ready for work googling why I'm so bloated and felt like I couldn't sleep on boobies and tummy last night.., god help me!

Nurse I would be glad of the insight I think, for me I will find it so hard to give up wine, my favourite noise in the world is the glug of wine coming out of the bottle after a stressful day at work! Think if I knew more about dangers it might help warn me off!

More end of year reviews with my team today ladies, wish me luck!

Stircrazy1984 · 13/01/2015 07:59

Thanks so much Boyle, I'm just in a complete state about it, this infection gives me bad cramps that feel exactly like period pain, so my body is giving me mixed signals, it feels like AF is going to come but the painful nipples are telling me something else is going on.argh! Really need to snap out of it so I can concentrate at work x

Boyle1884 · 13/01/2015 07:49

Stir!!! Looks pretty good to me even if it is faint... How exciting. I'd maybe try another brand, pink ones are supposed to be more prominent (superdrug is pink lines). I really hope it's your time :) xx

Stircrazy1984 · 13/01/2015 07:08

Morning everyone, wow so many new posts...will reply to everyone later...I need your opinions...so despite having this infection AF didnt arrive yesterday as she should have and instead I had terribly painful nipples all day (still are) which I have never gotten before. So I thought this is new, I'll take a test just in case.....and see attached...the faintest almost not there blue line...could this be a BFP??? I am so full of nervous, scared, excited confused energy. Any feedback would be fab X

Looking for a TTC buddy!
IfYouWereARiverIdLearnToFloat · 13/01/2015 00:19

Before trying I would go months without drinking anyway so I don't feel like I'm doing much differently - except take my folic acid.

It's hard not to obsess over it all when its the thing you want more than anything. I just keep thinking nothing that's really worth it comes easy and it'll happen when I'm ready. Stay positive nurse!

NurseDoctor · 12/01/2015 23:29

IfYouWere it's so difficult. I'm a medical student so have embryology lectures about fetal alcohol syndrome and how important the first few months are etc, it makes me panic the idea of drinking by accident, but as you say how much can you dance around it? And I guess certain times of month are without risk. I know plenty of people who drank at the beginning of pregnancy as had no idea they were pg, and they have perfectly healthy children.
Constantly being told to relax and when we stop trying it will happen. But how can you forget AND stop drinking and take frolic acid? Can't win!
If I open my Facebook page it's like a family album. Tonnes of bumps and babies everywhere, as you say super happy for them but makes me grumpy Sad

By the way love the alphabetising!

IfYouWereARiverIdLearnToFloat · 12/01/2015 22:43

cant what is it with babies everywhere? Everybody I know it seems is either pregnant or has just given birth. I'm so happy for them but it makes it makes my heart ache a bit.

I have a list of baby names on my phone too - they've been there so long I occasionally start to sort them into alphabetical order! And my list of the first day of every AF since February last year...

nurse I'm not a big drinker either, we live a bit farther out than our friends do & I don't like getting taxi alone, I've been doing extra weekends & overnights as it's relevant to a post grad course I'm doing and also I study at weekends so that gives me a few excuses not to go wild. If we have things at beginning of my cycle to go to I'll have a few drinks, if I'm on 2ww I'll mostly pass on drinking. Its hard to know what to do - I'm almost a year on and don't want to put everything on hold... I went to a wedding in October and stayed sober because AF was a day late. Got home at end of night and she had arrived Angry

NurseDoctor · 12/01/2015 21:30

Sorry for the typos, fat thumbs on iPad Blush

NurseDoctor · 12/01/2015 21:22

MrsLOL phantom signs contribute to he frustration! Last month I had terrible nausea that just had to be pregnancy related (not overheating chocolate related) and convinced myself I was PG. Made it so much worse when I wasn't Sad .
Random question but how is everyone else dealing with alcohol thing? Don't drink often but scared to whilst trying to concieve just I case
Cantbelieve thanks for the welcome! I also have a list of baby names (on notes on my laptop) which thr odd person has noticed in lectures and commented on... Very embarrassing trying to talk my way out of that one.
