Hello! I'm needing a TTC buddy as I'm finding myself constantly over thinking things and it's driving my husband mad so would be great to discuss it with someone else in the same boat!

I'm TTC baby number 3. I came off the pill 3 days ago and I'm very impatient, want to get started right now! Anyone else in a similar situation want to buddy up?

Hi girl and babs! Welcome! Definitely in the right place if you're slowly becoming a baby obsessed maniac!! I'm also in tww so feel free to obsessively symptom spot with me Grin...

My dilemma this evening? Do I drink because it could be my last weekend to? Or do I not because I already might have conceived? Can't beat a Friday night glass of Pinot! Unless hubby tempts me with a curry.

NurseDoctor · 16/01/2015 13:12

cantbelieve hehe whenever I see things I like I make a little note on my laptop of the link etc. I feel like it would be jinxing it to buy anything, so instead have lists (because obviously that's so much better!) haha!
I also think to myself ooh if it happens this month their birthday would be around such and such. Very silly because it builds up hope in my head

Girl339 · 16/01/2015 11:37

Hello! Can I join this thread please? I'm 31, ttc #2, second cycle trying and am in my TWW...going slowly crazy symptom watching!! Actually POAS on Wednesday, 7 days before my period is due so got a negative (well, obviously! What was I thinking?!) Sigh. Anyway, hi everyone!

cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 16/01/2015 08:37

So you are in your first TWW if you have ovulated babs? How exciting? Do you mean there are other things in life other than this?!

haha Nurse, I'm not as far as googling them yet, but I already have the spare room decorated in my head!

Ohhh! You're on the dark side manderley - far too technical for me! And yes same here, dealing with insane projects and figures at work & I just switch off at 6 and never think about it again when this is almost always on my mind! We were up at 4.30am with the dog, she just wanted to play. Supposed it could get me used to night feeds though.. Wink

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 16/01/2015 07:06

Can't I'm a structural engineer. Made it through the night with a vomit free kitchen floor so we have progress!

Definitely the place for crazy over thinkers. You wouldn't think I could oversee multimillion pound projects and yet get so wound up by all this!

Have a good Friday everyone :)

NurseDoctor · 15/01/2015 23:40

babs this is just the place! I find myself googling nursery furniture and prams. Someone needs to stop me!!!

babsbunny · 15/01/2015 22:44

Thanks! I Have a very short back story. After 7 yrs together I have talked dh into getting started. First month ttc. Day 18 of 26 day cycle. Going mad. Hats off to everyone doing this, it's not easy to concentrate on anything else!

cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 15/01/2015 22:34

Hi babs & welcome,

You'll be well looked after and will fit right in on here! Haha. Crazy overthinkers are our speciality!! What's your background so far?

babsbunny · 15/01/2015 22:31

Heya girls. Is this the right thread for a crazy 33 Yr old that has become an overthinker in just 3 weeks and can't think of anything else other than when I can poas?

cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 15/01/2015 22:16

Ah what do you do then? Sorry if you've already told me!

Aw you have a naughty puppy like mine!!

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 15/01/2015 21:46

Ah, there's a copy of Spons deep in my desk somewhere.

Home now and had a nice warm bath. Been up since 3 as the dog decided to redecorate the kitchen floor. Think I'll get an early night. DH will be home soon hopefully.

cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 15/01/2015 20:18

I'm doing a Quantity Surveying degree part time as part of my job, company pay for the degree so I really shouldn't complain!

Sounds like you could do with some chill time! Are you home in the warm now?

OH is sat next to me munching on Brie & Stilton ... Mmmm!

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 15/01/2015 19:36

OOh, what are you studying?! I have a big deadline at the end of the month. Currently managing a team of 8 and, as much as I love them, I'll be quite glad come february! Hopefully my next project will be a little less intense so I can enjoy a bit of a trough for a while :)

cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 15/01/2015 19:20

Oooh boyle I must say, they are verrrrrry pregnant symptoms!! And I should know, I mean I have them every month! Haha.

No endo for me nurse but I do all the things you do. With the pillow under the bum, I bring my knees up to my boobs also to give it more tilt. I'm absolutely sure this is NO help but I do it anyway. I've also decided to quit caffeine. Well other than the caramel macchiato I had today of course!

Hi sploinky - it was me on the other thread about acupuncture waves

Hi milou - we are all buddies here Smile

I feel your pain manderley just got in since 7.45 this morning, 10 hours of lectures today. My brain is frazzled. Exam next week! Yay!

Think I finally ovulated today, so will be unwinding for a bit, & hopping into bed Wink Wink I think I have a world record this month, my FF is in overload, can barely keep up!!

How are our lovely BFP ladies??

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 15/01/2015 18:40

Evening all, and hello to lovely new people! I seem to be out of sync with everyone as I always log on to find so much conversation has happened!

Hope everyone's doing well? any more news? Still hanging in until Saturday, have my travel jabs tomorrow and also going to speak to nurse as my eczema has gone crazy lately. Currently stuck at the station where I change trains due to delays and utterly fed up. I'm a hardened commuter but this is wearing me down, has happened every night this week and adds half an hour to a 50 minute journey. Gah!

sploinky · 15/01/2015 12:23

@milou90

I used to count it manually but it's hard with a irregular cycle.
Right now I am using clear blue advanced fertility monitor.
If you are based in London - I recommend looking up the "Imperial Conceive Study" - A friend told me about this study and I got free monitors from the lovely research team who taught me how to work out the best time to DTD.

Good luck! Let's hope we both get BFPs soon! x

milou90 · 15/01/2015 12:20

sploinky, just trying to count my cycles, but not sure I am doing it right. How are you tracking yours, any tips?

milou90 · 15/01/2015 12:18

Hi NurseDoctor Me too, though it has only been 1 and a half months, it feels like forever! Like you, also trying to have healthier diet. New year, new resolutions and hopefully BFP!

sploinky · 15/01/2015 12:15

Hi @milou90!

I have been TTC since September, and had the same problems trying to work out ovulation patterns too. How are you tracking your ovulation?

I am also considering acupuncture as recommended by one of the other girls on mumsnet.

NurseDoctor · 15/01/2015 12:03

milou90 I started in Dec too Smile
Already overthinking everything!

milou90 · 15/01/2015 11:55

New to mumsnet, and TTC first child. Only started Dec! Still getting to grips with ovulation tracking, looking for TTC buddy :)

NurseDoctor · 15/01/2015 11:45

Personal question but anyone else here have endometriosis? At present I have no idea if it's going to impact our chances of conception Confused Have overhauled our diet, trying to lose a bit of weight myself as BMI edged into overweight, taking my folic acid
Tips i've been given by friends are the pillow under bum. Going to sleep straight after sex rather than popping to the loo. One actually hung upside down off the side of the bed after... not sure i'm going to try that!

Boyle1884 · 15/01/2015 08:12

And somebody's breath stinks on the tram this morning so this MUST be my heightened sense of smell Hmm

Boyle1884 · 15/01/2015 07:58

!!!!!!Symptom spotting alert!!!!!! Grin hope everyone ok... 5/6 dpo I think!! Been so sleepy this week (nothing to do with cats and the wind keeping me awake of course).. Felt really sick last night (nothing to do with the fact that I'd missed lunch and then wolfed my tea down)... Last night my boobs and belly felt heavy and really low down (nothing to do with the fact that I'd put half a stone on over christmas)!!

Ooh the things my imagination could convince me of!

Hoping your still holding out manderley?!

Not familiar with those can't sorry!!

Stir I love the way you told oh... So sweet and romantic Flowers

cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 14/01/2015 21:35
