Looking for a TTC buddy!

Hello! I'm needing a TTC buddy as I'm finding myself constantly over thinking things and it's driving my husband mad so would be great to discuss it with someone else in the same boat!

I'm TTC baby number 3. I came off the pill 3 days ago and I'm very impatient, want to get started right now! Anyone else in a similar situation want to buddy up?

Evil plan - mwahaha! Are you certain that you won't drink at all? In the 2ww there is no connection between egg and your bloodline ( I did some reading!) - unless its the actual conception you have some concerns with?

Hahaha, would they be your normal signs of AF? Well my nausea has subsided, boobs are still achy & I feel like a walking zombie. Oh and I have little amounts of creamy CM - not enough to write home about though. I guess only time will tell. Not entirely sure when I ovulated so will leave Sunday as my final ruling out of the game.

Boyle1884 · 16/12/2014 06:15

I could do that and have them in my bag :) as proof haha.

No ... I'm now dryer than the Sahara!! But my bbs are huge and I've had cramps for 3 days solid and back ache. 1st month off BC so guessing that af is just building up to get me big time next week!!! This tww is agonising!!!!!

Cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 15/12/2014 21:28

Can you dig out an empty bottle of anti-bio's and pretend that you're on them boyle

Nothing more on the blood streaked fertile CM?

Boyle1884 · 15/12/2014 19:27

Don't lose hope Can't... Some ladies take a while to get that BFP. We have so many events over next two weeks that it will almost be an inconvenience making excuses as to why I'm not drinking..,

I'm disappointed as I've had no cm at all since Friday and read that having creamy cm is a sign of early PG.

Cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 15/12/2014 19:14

Another BFN .... Wish I didn't have achy boobs, I am absolutely shattered(!!!) and I keep feeling sick but only actually being sick 3 days ago (in an evening)

Keep convincing myself that the BFP is going to come when in my heart of hearts I know it's not Sad

Damn you Christmas and all of your emotional songs and festivities!!

lastnightIwenttoManderley · 14/12/2014 21:45

To be honest, I've known too many people who've had it take a while. On that basis, I'm not doing too much differently though ive never been one for massive drinking sessions anyway and diet not too bad. My vice is sugar though...

Cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 14/12/2014 19:14

I'm due to test on Thursday, if it's a BFN, I'll be giving my OH a rest from his psycho ttc maniac and enjoying Christmas with the family that I am already blessed to have. I will not be pee-ing on any kind of sticks, taking any temperatures, ignoring any goings ons in my panties, drinking as much as I'd like, eating all the shellfish and soft cheese I can fit into my fridge. And trying to ignore all the pregnant people in my life (whichever is prettying every child bearing aged woman I know).
Then my New Years resolution is trying to be one of those relaxed when-it-happens-it-happens-people

That last statement is probably a load of bollox and virtually impossible but hey, I'm not shy to kid myself!!

Emma321q · 14/12/2014 10:58

Just a quick question- hubby and I are now into month two of ttc our first baby. Last month I was very strict with myself about eating a balanced diet and not drinking alcohol. With it being christmas though I am unsure about what I should and should not allow myself to have this month. What are the rest of you planning on doing?

Cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 13/12/2014 18:43

It seems funny writing this on a BFN but congratulations?? Confused haha!

Got to love self service!

Fingers crossed for a BFP next month Grin

lastnightIwenttoManderley · 13/12/2014 17:38

Well...the results are in...BFN!

Kind of relieved as timing would have been crap.
Ironic how at any point from here on in, I'll be praying for the opposite! Now just to wait for missing AF.

(oh, and thank god for waitrose quick check!)

Cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 13/12/2014 15:33

manderley - buying them is the worst thing in the world!! Send OH!!

Oooh! Spotting blood is sometimes recognised as implantation but how far out of your fertile window are you? And how long were you in it?? Clear jelly sounds like fertile CM - as much as I love fertility friend, I'd listen to my body first.... And dtd just to be safe! Haha. And get in there and have a poke around! Could be worse, I've read some women on here get their hubby's to do it Shock

I was really upset but hey, one day (when she grows up Hmm) she'll feel forever guilty and won't believe how she treated me. Me on the other hand, clear conscience. I faked the congratulations and cheers so well so that she didn't feel bad, I even suprised myself!

Boyle1884 · 13/12/2014 13:48

Ps... Can't... So sad that your sil was like that about everything, I'd be so upset. Just reading everything about not knowing your body and I'm ashamed I don't know more too but don't think I can face the whole checking my cervix thing... If CM isn't in my panties, it's not being checked haha.

Boyle1884 · 13/12/2014 13:44

HELP!!! Advice needed... TMI coming up... According to Ovia app I have only just come out of fertile window, but today I have really sore nipples and my CM is like a clear jelly with blood streaks through it... Is it more likely that I'm ovulating now?! Or could it be a sign? Don't know what to think?!!!!

lastnightIwenttoManderley · 13/12/2014 13:28

This is ridiculous. I'm a 30yr old professional and am terrified of even buying one, let alone actually poas!

Cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 13/12/2014 12:49

Ah the bitch!! Did you tell Her she's not welcome?!

Yes I'm the same, not due til Thursday but if she shows her face for me, I'm going to see 2014 out woth copious amounts of wine & then start again in the new year!

booboobeedoo11 · 13/12/2014 11:18

Well....AF got me this morning! A day earlier than I expected but since coming off bc I've had 28, 29, 24 and 27 day cycles! I've decided I'll try and take a break from the crazy conception lady over christmas and just enjoy it. But I'll still be dtd....just gona try not over analyse it all lol. So I'm thinking just leave the wee diary I was gona try and keep about my cycle til after this one. Yip cantbelieve its shocking I'm 31 with an 11yr old and I apparently know nothing about how my body works!

Cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 13/12/2014 10:18

Yes definitely sounds like you're better off knowing either way manderley but seriously don't let other people concern you!

SIL and I became very close very quickly (our OHs are brothers) and it just turned out that she was a very immature 22 year old. (Nothing against young mums as I was one!) she decided to have a baby upon a friend having one (rolling my eyes) and conceived almost immediately (rolling my eyes again) She just has no life experience and apparently very selfish. This will be first grandchild on OHs side so she is pleased with herself for that. god, didn't realise that I'm still so bitter

booboo I am a CM obsessive but only this cycle. I had lots of fertile CM but for the first time ever (I would have noticed that much before). I am now CD24 and got some thick white creamy CM but not loads... I have noticed that I've had this previously but not when trying for a baby. I don't know if it's a good/bad sign but apparently you dry up if AF is on way.... Isn't it shocking how little you know about your body until you start looking for a reason! Quite ashamed at how uneducated I was. Especially as I already have DD!

lastnightIwenttoManderley · 13/12/2014 05:58

your not you're!

lastnightIwenttoManderley · 13/12/2014 05:57

Can't I'm absolutely shocked by your SILs reaction - how selfish! Is she an otherwise rational human being or was this not so much of a surprise?

The laws of probability are stacked against us (using condoms, had 'period' in between) but there's still that niggling chance.... I didn't want to worry DH but think I'll have to tell him before I POAS. BILs wedding in France would be one thing but would also jeopardise our trip to China at Easter which we're due to pay final deposits on next week so better to know sooner!

Well aware this could be a he'll of a lot of fuss over nothing, just for some reason putting off poas in case AF comes. Won't change the outcome regardless of when I do it but not knowing still means the less complicated outcome is on the table!

Appreciate you're support can't, particularly given your own circumstances.

booboobeedoo11 · 12/12/2014 20:05

Hey...can I ask you ladies a TMI question? For those of you who check your cm? I dont usually check so I'm not sure what the norm is...If there is one! I'm def on cd27 and assuming I'm 11dpo and AF should be rearing her ugly head prob sunday. So here's the tmi bit...today I've noticed I have quite a lot of thick whitish cm, I don't remember having this previously but as I said I haven't been checking this before now. Thanks in advance for any help!

Cantbelieveimdoingthisagain · 12/12/2014 13:36

Could certainly be your rhythm but won't hurt to poas.

I used to think like you about timing of pregnancy etc. OH & I have been trying for months and have not told anyone, in the meantime, SIL announced her pregnancy and it broke me. I thought that I could not get pregnant while she was pregnant, so as not to steal her thunder. And then I realised that with mine and OH's fertility issues, we might never have children together so why the hell should I put her pregnancy before mine (she voiced her disapproval when I told her that we had been trying and she made it clear she didn't want me to get pregnant whilst she is carrying, despite me also confiding in her of our fertility issues).

But anyway, my moral of the story is... would you rather be pregnant at BIL wedding if that were your only ever chance to get pregnant? Or would you rather wait and never get the opportunity because you were too worried about what people would say? its all about perspective I guess.

Tet mrslowe SI can bring ov forward. How different is this from your usual cycle? Any other signs, fertile CM etc?

MrsLowe14 · 12/12/2014 12:22

It could be because you're not in a normal cycle yet, only one way to find out!

I've got horrible cramping pains in the right side of my groin that I would put down to ovulation pain but I'm only CD9! I took SI for the first time this month but I wouldn't have thought it would work that quickly! It will probably turn out to be wind Grin

lastnightIwenttoManderley · 12/12/2014 08:13

Not really, I've been really under it at work though so I wonder if that's had an impact? I've also only been off the pill for 3 months so I may just not be into a 'normal' rhythm yet.

AngharadPM · 12/12/2014 07:28

AF not at!

AngharadPM · 12/12/2014 07:27

Have you changed anything in your diet or increased your exercise? When I went on a health splurge a couple of years back my at ended up being over 10 days late! Stress and ill health could be another cause.

If you are pregnant though don't worry about what people are going to think, I bet that they will be far more happy for you than cross at your timing! Smile
