That made me laugh. I think I'm going to use pavlova from now on!
Sorry you had such a nightmare with the scan Sunny. Hopefully there will be some super duper eggs waiting for you! It is horrible to have things like that happen when you are under so much pressure anyway.
So great you and trying are ovulating at the same time. Kind of bizarre to I imagine all of these eggs getting ready in different places around the country that could, and in many cases will, one day turn into little people!

Tryingno1 · 29/12/2014 22:07

Haha! I must be hungry! What a Pavolva! That's a much better phrase that what a palava!

Tryingno1 · 29/12/2014 22:06

Oh no! What a complete pavlova and uness stress in our already stressful lives! Hope u get it sorted! Hopefully ur 3 are up and u have good news in about 2 weeks time!

sunnyday01 · 29/12/2014 22:02

Yes got one at 11.15 - they say bad things come in threes - firstly had no injection, now I have 2, secondly louise was meant to sort out my results tomorrow but she is off sick so hopefully dr s can do it but they are expecting results first thing so had to email to explain so fingers crossed it's still ok, and then tonight we can't get there - there better be done decent eggs!!

OP posts:
Tryingno1 · 29/12/2014 21:30

Oh no!! R u ok? Have u got
One booked tmrw. I'm sure half a day doesn't make much difference? I can imagine it being stressful.
Sometimes situations like that make u want To scream whyyyyyy me! I hope there's some good eggs in there!

I'm day 12 today, using my sticks usually surge day 14....waiting waiting but have started DTd as can't day 14 so figured I try today instead!

sunnyday01 · 29/12/2014 20:44

Scan been a nightmare - due to road closures and a crap diversion ended up in middle of nowhere and didn't make it - hopefully going tomorrow. I just had a total meltdown as was useless

Liking all the positivity here! I found the trying stage as hard, if not harder, than the miscarriage stage in some ways, but I absolutely know there will be more BFPs soon!
Thanks for your lovely message trying. I thought I posted yesterday but can't see my message! Counting down to not take the pred anymore. In some ways it is good because it has made all of the pregnancy symptoms so much easier to deal with but I really could do without the moonface!
Free my next scan is at 11 weeks with Dr S. I have another intralipids then too. Everything seems to be going so fast this time around! So exciting to hear all is going well with your little man and that it is a little less stressful the second time around. I was majorly anxious with DS1! Lovely to hear updates!
Good luck for this month everyone!

Tryingno1 · 28/12/2014 22:15

Postive minds and postive eggs! Such a good phrase! I'm being positive these next few months. I need to start eating better I'm sure my carbs/wine/mince pies/Xmas pudding binge for about a month hasn't helped my eggs or uterus!

I agree sunny-my dad always says it will happen it just takes one egg and one sperm. He also says he's seen women with x y z (infertility/endometrisosis/PID and a million other things) and also reccurent miscarriages and they have their kids. It can't be explained but its just nature.

He keeps telling me I'll have as many kids as I want! (dont quite believe him there but I get his well meaning!!)

Lets hope this is our month. Hope u got some good sized follicles in there sunny! And hope
Mine are ready to Pop soon too! And dildoos hope u have sperm and egg meeting about now!

dildoos · 28/12/2014 21:09

Sunny wow must've been awful for her as research has come along so much since 70's!

Well done for swimming that's great!

I will get to gym I pay membership for in new year ShockShockShockShock

Luck with scan tomorrow!
Keep us updated!

Positive mind positive eggs x

sunnyday01 · 28/12/2014 20:44

Hi!

Ha ha trying my diet has gone out the window over Xmas - but I have been going swimming most days so hopefully that will help a little!! However I rarely drink so don't have to worry about that!

I know what you mean about being positive and then being disappointed, this month I am telling myself each day that I will have a good egg and it willve fertilised - power of the mind she all that!!

My dh mum waited seven years to get pregnant with dh, this was back in the 70s so slightly different but she dudnt have a bfp once in that time and was told nothing was wrong then one month it just happened! After 7 years of trying she got a bfp! Sometimes that's what I think about to keep me going

Git my scan tomorrow as day 10 for me so will likely be injecting my trigger on weds and ovulating on Friday!

When I was on slimming world I used to freeze muller light vanilla yohlfhurt with raspberrys in it fresh and was syn free x

Tryingno1 · 28/12/2014 20:25

That's a good idea!
I think the same-if I'm postive then much more upset when BfN.
But yeah maybe a treat for the day we test !
After my awful drinking last week I've decided to give up Completely. I had soooooo much wine and champers it was just ridiculous! So maybe a chocolate treat or a dinner date with DH!
My diet also begins tmrw. I'm with u sunnyday! (God I'm gonna be a right laugh-no food and no wine Confused )

dildoos · 28/12/2014 20:20

Thanks trying will take them for next 10 days and see, I think sometimes it is hard to stay positive but at same time we know we need too for it to be mentally helpful, I get worried for being positive does it then send me more crazy when bfn? However how's about we be positive together and then buy the nicest bottle of wine and chill it for if required? That way either way a positive xx

Tryingno1 · 28/12/2014 12:00

Morning dildoos!
No won't cause any issues! Not to worry. I've seen a few women saying it may have caused their ovulation to be delayed if taken before but I don't know how definite that is. Now u know when u ovulate just take it then from next month!
I hope this is ur month!

DH had a stern word with me
Last night about me negative thinking. So I'm now also
Hoping I get a bfp this month! I'm not sure if we will be able to DTD according to ovulation exactly but I think it prob doesn't have to be that precise anyway!

Free congrats again! What a journey for u! And proof it can happen

Hi bellyD-hope ur Journey ends in happy news soon x

dildoos · 28/12/2014 10:52

Belly thankyou and here's Wine to your 2015, I hope it's your special year!

Enjoy enjoy! Happy new year to you and your gorgeous hard earnt family x

How's everyone else going?
I had a medi high on ovulation monitor crimbo day but as hadn't used it for 4 months started pred , however my high has only just arrived today? Will it hurt if I have taken 3 more than should?
How you doing trying? Hope?
Hi to all of you xx

freelancegirl · 28/12/2014 07:56

Thanks Belly! Lovely to hear from you. It's hard to stay strong and positive but there's every reason to be hopeful. How are you getting on? Yes you're right, I was swimming around in despair and confusion when I started this thread and thanks to the treatment I am now a mum of two! It seems surreal.

Hope, is your next scan tomorrow? Good luck with it! That wait between scans takes an age.

Hope everyone else is well. Just busy here adjusting to having two. Lots of help at the moment as Dh is off work for a few more weeks so hopefully will be more accomplished by the time he goes back. It's much less anxiety provoking the second time around though as you have more skills and experience to fall back on.

Good luck and lots of love to all xx

BellyD · 27/12/2014 23:09

Hi All, just popped in to catch up on all the thread news and say Congrats to Free. Wonderful news - so happy for you. Although I am sure that you have your hands full to overflowing, when you look back to where you were when you started this thread, and now you are a mummy to two little boys - it is truly amazing and a Christmas message of hope and inspiration for us all. We are 5 years ttc and 7mc down the line now, but I still firmly believe DH and I will be parents one day. Happy 2015 everyone and lots of sticky bfp's to everyone ttc x

Tryingno1 · 27/12/2014 09:47

Aw hope....I hope that the little bean is perfectly well and healthy in there. Your an amazingly strong woman! Sorry about the moon face and the tigh jeans! But will be worth it. Not long till the pred stops either.
X

Hopender · 27/12/2014 09:44

Thanks Dildoos, that is really nice of you. It means a lot. The next scan is at 11 weeks with Dr Shehata but we won't see fingers and toes then. The first one for ectrodactyly will be at 14 weeks. We could have a CVS test at 10 weeks but it wouldn't tell us how badly the baby is affected, if it is, and obviously carries the miscarriage risk. We did try to have PGD (pre-genetic diagnosis) with IVF but the condition hasn't got approval from the HFEA yet. It will probably happen soon but not in time for us. So just thinking positive thoughts and hoping it will make a difference. Thank you again for your kind words and prayers, it really helps. Hoping very much for some good news from you very soon too!

dildoos · 27/12/2014 07:27

Hope sent up a prayer for fingers, toes and the easiest nicest full term pregnancy ever. Good luck and thank you for sharing your story I had never heard of condition before but will now be aware of it to hopefully pass on hope to others suffering condition. When is your next scan? X

Hopender · 27/12/2014 01:46

Hope you all had a great Christmas! I are far too much which hasn't helped my moon face at all! I'm starting to get a proper double chin...for some reason DH thinks if is hilarious...!!!
Glad you are all getting back on the baby-making wagon again! I know there will be more BFPs soon!
Thanks for your message too Suemays. I am so so sorry for what you must have gone through. It is just horribly heartbreaking and I feel for you do much. I also appreciate your advice. It is really hard to contemplate anything going wrong but I am trying to brace myself in case it is difficult news. The problem in my family is called ectrodactyly which on the whole isn't life threatening although is likely to be the reason we lost our little boy when I was six months pregnant last year as he was severely affected. It mostly causes abnormalities if the hands and feet. I am a carrier of it although you can't tell I have it in any way. My brother has it very mildly as do other people in my family. It is extremely variable so on one level it can cause a baby to develop barely any fingers or toes on another it can also be barely noticeable. My brother was born with two extra toes which were removed when he was born. It has usually manifested itself mildly in my family but it can be very disfiguring. I have a 50% chance of passing it to the baby. Within the 50% thought here is a 10% chance the baby will be a carrier like me, so have it but not in a noticeable way and another 20% chance it will be very mild so not an issue. So we have about a 20% chance that the baby will have a severe disfigurement of its hands and feet (it could be both hands and feet affected or just one). Obviously noone hopes their child will be born with a disfigurement but we have gone through so much to have this baby and it is already so wanted and loved. The truth is I don't really know what to think about it all. I know we would love and adore a baby with ectrodactly but it is hard to imagine the challenges a child with one finger on each hand might have. I guess you just want life to be happy for your children. My little boy doesn't have ectrodactyly and isn't a carrier. At this stage I am just trying to be positive...I personally think if isn't that bigger deal to be missing a finger of two. My cousin is beautiful and has hundreds of boyfriends and is missing fingers and toes but it isn't something you notice about her because she's been brought up not to think of it as a big deal. She is the most severely affected person in my family.
All I know at the moment is how much we want this baby! I'm nine weeks today and trousers are getting a little tight! Please do send positive thoughts and prayers for little toes and fingers developing! Hope you guys don't mind me going off topic too much either. Sending you all positive vibes, xxxx

Tryingno1 · 26/12/2014 22:37

I'm ovulating on New Year's Day! Prob same as sunnyday. Not sure when to DTD as we off out new years eve the min DH comes in that day so won't be able to! Will try 2 days before ovulatin and the day after (unlikey to work) and see what happens. But I have absolutely no hope of this being our month. I'm hoping lucky no 7 (this one is 6).
Hope urs is lucky!

dildoos · 26/12/2014 21:33

Trying its so hard this route to baby gain, I often feel like this then come back to positivity ! I def agree with it's the biggest roller coaster we will all ride EVER!

I am ovulating now so back on the pred ( round 2 only I keep telling myself) so here's to a happy news in new y,ear???? We can but hope! Are you ovulating soon also? X
