Happy New Years girls!

Welcome Hula ( sorry your here suffering too, but it is a lovely bad thread to be on Grin)

Well I rocked New Years! Shots? ( decided to Jeremy Kyle it all the way!)
Prosecco I between!
Allowed my 6 nearly 7 year old DD stay up ( first time ever!) then walked her home in dark at 1 am! ( again very jezza Kyle!)
But blast me it was fun! Fun! Fun! Xx

Hula2 · 01/01/2015 19:05

Thanks for the welcome trying. Yep pred was ok, just felt a bit wired which actually was quite good for getting things done but not so good for getting to sleep (and back to sleep, my LO still wakes at least once a night) otherwise no other probs. However feel i have a limit of about 6 months for it and tbh at nearly 40 (aahh !) this needs to happen soon or i m going to be over the hill anyway !!

Tryingno1 · 01/01/2015 18:47

Sorry sent too soon.
Yeah hope u find the pred ok-I get a bit sleepless twds the end of my 10 days but ow been fine.

Tryingno1 · 01/01/2015 18:45

Hi hula,

Sorry u find urself here :( . Of course ur welcome on here! I find a BFN more upsetting than AF plus a waste of money! I hope u find the pred ok-apart from inability to sleep after a few days on it.

Hula2 · 01/01/2015 17:42

Hi,

Please can i join you lovely ladies ?

I m just starting out on this immune issue journey and would love to be able to share it with people who really understand this rollercoaster.

I m very lucky to have a LO who is 3 years now and despite taking nearly two years to conveive him with nothing on standard tests except low amh i had an easy and uneventful pregnancy.

We started trying for no 2 eighteen months ago (i still have a low amh of 2.1) and after only 6 months i fell pregnant but sadly miscarried at nearly 10wks.

That was april and we ve had no luck since and my acupuncturist recomended checking for immune issues with Dr S and it turns out i have high nk cells with borderline activity and borderline cytokines. He recommened the complex nk programme and humira. I wasn t sure about humira straight off so have decided to do a couple of months of just steriods (plus vits/aspirin) then think about humira and starting superovulation.

Yesterday was test day after my first cycle of steriods and it was a bfn Sad I hate testing early and it seems even worse when there s now all these extra measures involved.

Anyway thanks for reading and sorry for all your losses. I hope 2015 brings all those much deserved rainbows.

sunnyday01 · 01/01/2015 13:01

Hi rosa - yes I do the injection myself, it's very easy. I am the worlds biggest wimp when it comes to needles and use to cry if I need a blood test but after so many blood tests in the last year I have got over my fear! The trigger shot has a very fine needle - you can hardly feel it!

Sunny I'm ovulating today too! Well got my lh surge on stick yest so most likely today. We still in sync totally!

Decided not to take pred this month. I'll take it next month if out again this month.

Rosa that's completly the attitude i adopted. Till it happens might as well try enjoy life. Me and DH try go on holidays lots, nice meals etc and tell ourselves it will be much harder once a kid comes to just drop everything and do simple things like pop to the cinema. So for now we enjoying Eachother and hoping a baby comes our way (i hope soon)! I'm not too hopeful this month as also had a few (a lot of!) Xmas drinks as did DH and ive decided to go tee total for a while as I'm not a big drinker anyway.

First 2 times I got preg I was eating drinking and having coffee like a normal person and got preg at a blnik of an eye. Since stopping things and having a million supplements and acu it's taking much longer?! Can't really understand that! Except that my body needed some time to recover post multiple miscarriages?

Happy new yr girls. Lots of luck to all of u. I'm sure most or all of us will get lucky this year x

Rosa27 · 01/01/2015 11:33

Happy New Lucky Year everyone again!
Trying & Hopender- thanks for your replies. The stories and suggestions were really helpful.. I think will get bloods done this month to check and also look a bit more into surrogacy as a plan B as really feel time ticking. I've always, even when aging didn't scare me, worked out at NY what my age would be next year.. Which of course ages you by 2 years and not a helpful thing to do right now!Wink
Sunny- best of luck. Did you do your trigger shot yourself? I've drugs lined up for this too but wanted to get bloods done first. I'm so convinced I'm out this month (just a strong feeling- or lack of a pregnant one), that not taking pred. I've had some Christmas drinks so prob didn't help anyway.
It's a numbers game - we are all mostly doing the right thing.. And often people get lucky even when they are not - so I am going to try harder this year to take a philosophical view.. I do badly want a child, but I'd really regret not living a full life while trying no matter what the outcome. Maybe babies are like boyfriends, and they come along when you're not looking/ trying so hardWink
Whatever it is, whatever the trick, whatever the brand of luck- wishing it happens for all of us this year.. Would be amazing if everyone reading this thread has their dreams come true in 2015.. It's possible!Smile

sunnyday01 · 01/01/2015 09:31

Happy new year! Let's hope this is our year!

I'm ovulating today as had my trigger shot on Tuesday night so back on the pred!

Hi rosa, I looked into surrogates a few months ago when I'd really had enough. My friend used one to have her little boy and it was such a positive experience for her that I wondered if it might be an option for us. I looked into doing it through CRM in London as we were going to do it with PGD and IVF. That was the expensive bit rather than the surrogate as far as I could see though. I think we might have pursued it if I hadn't got pregnant as I just couldn't face any more heartache. I think the tricky thing is finding a surrogate, although it is much easier if you are using your own eggs. The thing is, you probably will get pregnant soon, but if it makes it easier to handle maybe you could look into surrogates at the same time. That way you have a fall back plan. I liked having a few plans going at the same time! It will be interesting to see if anybody else has thought of this!

Tryingno1 · 31/12/2014 14:50

Hi rosa. Been thinking of u.
I looked into it after miscarriage 2 actually. But not in great depth. It is something I would consider if I have no luck in time to come. It's pretty exp and I know some people go abroad to do it.

I know it's hard but hope u haven't give up all hope. Have u had ur Dh sperm checked? Have u been to your Gp and get a few day 21
Bloods done you can double check your def ovulating and any other first line "why not getting preg". I'm on month 6 and aged 30 and I'm still not preg. So sometimes it just takes longer?

I read on mumsnet just last week when I was stressing out (!) of a lady who got preg in 3
Month (miscarry) then 2 (miscarry) then it took her 14. She was 38 and had her last preg which i checked worked out!! She said she said done everything including acu/herbs/drugs/relaxation and it just didn't happen till month 14 for whatever reason. Not sure if that helps u?! I suppose I'm saying is hopefully it will happen for u soon. But maybe it's sensible to look into anything that may be stopping it? (Hope that doesn't sound harsh/u get wot I mean)

Rosa27 · 31/12/2014 13:38

Happy new year everyone for tomorrow.. Hope we all feel lucky and fearless ??
I'm pretty sure I'm out again this month but don't find out until end of next week. Just been reading about gestational surrogacy though. Anyone considered this? X

Tryingno1 · 31/12/2014 09:12

Morning girls!

Glad u know u can come on here and moan determined! I know sometimes it feels like everything is against u but u will get there at the end! I only have nk issue but still no success! Nature is very weird indeed. The thought of having another miscarriage is almost too much to bear so I'm hoping my next bfp is the one!

Happy new yr to u all. Like the others I wish u all a happier healthier blessed year! We will come out the other end even if it may take a while and try us along the way. Have a great night tonight whatever your up to as well.

Determined123 · 31/12/2014 09:04

Thanks all, means a lot! Don't know how I would cope without this thread! Good to talk to people who understand!! Still not sure what I will do yet as I never really know what my biggest battle is (PCOS, MTHFR, thyroid or NK cell)...obviously all of it is but it's hard to manage it all, tablets for this, special diets for that, special supplements for the other. Anyway new year new positivity!! Wink

Dildoos yes have hols in jan (mum lives in France so seeing her for a week). Cannot wait!!

Wow 3 eggs sunny!!! 3 is a magic number- busy time for you at the mo and trying too!! :) good luck!!

Hope hope you are keeping well and feeling good at this stage?

So as Dildoos said its so nearly our year!! A new beginning in 2015! I want to wish all you lovely ladies the happiest, healthiest, fun and exciting and RAINBOWED year ahead! Happy new year!!

Xxxxxxx

dildoos · 31/12/2014 07:44

Guess what ladies it's nearly our year? ( I know I have said it for past 4 but I have good vibes! ) 2015 has a good ring to it!
I would like to wish you all a happy, healthy and beautiful rainbowed new year!
To all the lovelies that have been blessed already may you to be blessed with happy health and gorgeous times with your well deserved rainbows xxx

Tryingno1 · 30/12/2014 21:17

Glad it's not just me! It's such a shame it takes the fun out of it. But I suppose 1.5 years of clinical DTD does that! We still manage to enjoy it but usually when we are away from home Relaxed and not I'm not ovulating! Another pants side of this
Journey!

sunnyday01 · 30/12/2014 20:32

When we first started trying it was fun, then a few months later I tried yo make it interesting now I don't bother doing anything special! I just tell dh when we need to do it and he us ok with it. I have found trying for a baby takes all spontaneity and fun out of it! When the week or so of bd is over I am usually relieved!

OP posts:
Tryingno1 · 30/12/2014 20:09

Yes hope I've read similar re the asprin. I asked mr s about it and he gave me all sorts of reasons why not but I couldn't help but feel negative about it so I stopped that. My dad didn't have any opinion on it which wasn't helpful!

Know wot u mean about getting into the underwear! I was so not in the mood yest but tried my best so DH didn't feel the pressure! The mad things we do....

I'm still feeling hopeful! If not this cycle it will come soon!

Hopender · 30/12/2014 19:38

Just to echo what Trying said, I didn't take pred or aspirin until I got BFP on day ten. My miscarriages have been due to an auto-immune response related to high gliadin antibodies rather than NK cells though. Don't completely understand it myself but Dr S was fairly certain about it and things do seem to be working out this time (she writes crossing everything). Dr S did advise I take the pred and aspirin from ovulation but I have never been good on any kind of medication and I decided to take a break for a month (which is when I got the BFP). I do really trust Dr S but the one thing I haven't been certain about is the aspirin. It is just that all other advice I've had had been to take it from BFP because it can interfere with implantation. On the other hand Dr S is the expert...
Glad the eggs are looking good sunny and no more pavlovas! Good luck with the bd. So know what you mean about a chore. I'd get all trussed up in my best underwear despite feeling massively unsexy just to get DH through it. Then as soon as I stopped ovulating he'd get in the mood again! Arrrrg!
Don't think anyone should ever feel worried about feeling sad on here. It is bl**dy awful going through recurrent miscarriages and I think it is normal to get terrible low sometimes. I know I have been on many occasions. Just knowing that you girls are out there too has helped me so much and I just can't wait for you to have your BFPs with treatment!

Tryingno1 · 30/12/2014 14:50

I need to stop using my iPhone and not reading back my messages. Appalling spelling and grammar! I think u all just about get my jist!

Tryingno1 · 30/12/2014 14:32

Hi determined! I was wondering where u and rosa were! Don't worry about being a Debbie downer! Like dildoos said that's what we here for and I've had a good few moans and complains on here!

I haven't taken pred or aspirin the last 2 cycles. I did for the first 3. I got sick of taking them and I know shehata is one of the only consultants to do it from ovulation not bfp. But then he has v good success rates so I should really follow his advice?! I'm undecided about what to do with the pred this month. I hate to miscarry again for not following his advice but I hate taking them and then getting a BFN!! I know hope didn't take it till BFP but she doesn't have high nk cells....I'm very 50/50 this
Month....I worry taking them might interfe with nature and stop be getting preg but worry not taking them might also stop be getting preg as nk cells can also cause infertility?!! Confusion!

Wow sunny! 3 in there?!! That's great! I'm hoping at Least one of those meet ur DH sperm!

Hope-hope ur still feeling ok and not too anxious.

Lets hope 2015 is the one for us all and that we get our bfp soon and hopes little on keeps growing perfectly!

sunnyday01 · 30/12/2014 14:13

Back from my scan! All was good, got three eggs this month which I'm v happy with and they are ready to pop so git to baby dance quite a bit over next few days lol (what a chore!)

Love the pavlova comment - I may have to use that!!

Don't worry about being down determined - that's what we are here for!

OP posts:
dildoos · 30/12/2014 13:44

Determind never stay away as your down, that's when you need us most! We don't mind if your down, we would like to be able to help you through stuff.
Tough decisions. Thought about doing a month on everything for January and see what that brings?
Sounds like you have been very hectic and need a little rest and relaxation. Are you due any time off soon? X

Determined123 · 30/12/2014 12:37

What a nightmare sunny...with all this hassle and non required added stress/pavlovas this could be the one!

Glad your are progressing well hope! :) so positive and happy news!

Those who are about to ovulate...am hoping that a relaxing xmas will work wonders for some good eggs!

Free - hope all is well with double the trouble - what a Christmas! Echo Bellys thought that it is such an inspiring story.

Sorry been quiet for a while. So many family do's then back to work and tbh a little bit frustrated and upset about my recent NHS appointment that offered no help and not really sure what to do next...Spent £75 on medication yesterday but still not made my mind up if I am going to use it all or not. Am tempted to go without for a bit and maybe take pred after BFP - anyone tried that with success? Tempted to leave super ov for a bit too!

Decisions decisions...still waiting for AF but I will need to make a decision pretty soon! Sorry that's why I stayed away as I hate being Debbie downer!

Hurry up 2015!! :)

xx
